Besides the pub and village shop/PO mentioned in another review, the Laughing Monk restaurant is just a short walk away. The site has no reception as such; the owner, a pleasant lady called Kate, drives round to collect your money. We understand there's now planning permission for much larger facilities.
We've stayed in the naturist section here many times, and always enjoy the quiet rural setting with views out to the sea. There are water taps and a limited number of electric hook-ups, but naturists must dress to reach the toilet block. The elevated position makes this site exposed in windy weather, though a second small naturist field is well sheltered by hedges.

Third visit we also don't use the naturist part. We love it here and just keep returning though it may not be for everyone. We enjoy the relaxed friendly atmosphere and meeting up with other regulars. The field is a good size and we have never known it to be over crowded so you always have a wonderful sense of space The kitchen and TV room are a bonus and come in handy on those wet days which are inevitable no matter which part of the British Isles you visit. We time our visit for Strete Village day which is held at the site on the first saturday in August. Great fun for all the family. Expect a good 30 minute walk to the nearest beach which our teenagers actually enjoy doing. Perhaps not so good with little ones but there are plenty of beaches to choose from within driving distance. We will keep on returning as I think we are addicted

It is worth knowing that only 1/3rd of site is for naturists the remainder is for clothed campers. The naturist section is at the bottom of the site and unobtrusive. Site is peaceful, quiet, beautiful views of the sea. Facilities - toilets/showers are unisex, have to pay for showers 50p per 5 mins, they are not the cleanest but adequate. One very big advantage is a fully equipped kitchen which was an must for us as it lashed with rain making it impossible to cook outside. Despite large amounts of rain the site did drain well. There is a local pub and post office but nothing else. Definitely would return to this site.
