We have enjoyed our stay at this campsite. As already said the facilities are very basic, had to queue for both toilet & showers. No TV or radio signal for the rainy days of which we had quite a few. Outstanding views when not raining. Excellent show by RAF flying down the valley the owners say that they do not fly on the weekend which I thought was a shame. The owners were very friendly and offered help when erecting the tent. The Red Lion pub in the village was about 10 min walk away with good local food at reasonable prices.

We have visited this site twice and although very basic, we loved it! Surrounded by rolling hills, it is very picturesque. There is a main road running alongside the site but there was no noticeable noise. The facilities are very basic but adequate and the owners very lovely and helpful. If you fancy a peaceful weekend away, this is the place for you.

We arrived on quite a wet day and the owner told us to pitch on the drier end of the field. By the end of the week it was all very muddy, drainage very poor. There were converted sheds as showers and toilets. These were reasonably clean but very basic. The showers were 20p for a few minutes. Toilet paper and hand wash were provided. The dish washing area was grubby and the bins were smelly and overflowing. There was a garage, cafe and pub within walking distance. The campsite is opposite merrion mill, handy for last minute presents.

This is not a site for anyone who can't manage without luxury facilities. The site is small and well kept and the owners could not have been more helpful. The facilities are basic, two loos and 2 showers for the ladies and 2 loos and a shower for the men, all housed separately in outbuildings but immaculately clean and with soap provided. 20p for a shower but hot water in basins. Washing up sink outside with cold water only but we found it no problem to boil a kettle. Site is level and electric hook-ups are available. 2 pubs within walking distance and Mill shop opposite where you can buy meals and snacks. We loved this site, it's peaceful and quiet in a sheltered valley and we can't wait to go back.
