 Not one for us oldies!

The main part of this site is a slightly sloping field fenced off into 3 areas. Unfortunately pitches are oriented across the slope, so you can’t get level without blocks or similar. There is no delineation between pitches, and very little room between units parked in adjacent sections of the field, so you can hear the people pitched behind you quite distinctly.

Check-in is entirely impersonal, apparently because of Covid. You get an email telling you your pitch number, and you announce your arrival by text. The owners / wardens could be in another country!

I could not find any contact telephone number in case of queries (like: where you dispose of grey water, which is not mentioned in the email).

Being a Saturday night the park was full of families and kids playing ball games, despite steady rainfall.

We didn’t need the facilities, but they are quite a way from the main field.

The area is very rural, despite being only about 4 miles from Winchester, and there was no exterior noise.

Like the site disliked the lack of showers. Need to reconsider opening more showers. Otherwise all good.

As it grows consider hard standing. grass is ok for tents but people get campervans Amd motor homes to get away from the grass, it gets every where

Basic but functional. Useful & helpful warden / owner. Strange why caravans are all parked facing the same way. ?

More expensive than Club Certificated sites, so fairly low value for money.

A big thumbs up for folly farm, really enjoyed my stay here, and would definitely recommend anyone to give this site a visit,

It is within striking distance of a lot of places to visit.

Lovely position in back field, busy on arrival with family units there for weekend but near enough empty from Sunday pm to Weds.

Slightly disappointed with the temp facilities but then discovered the ones by reception which were much better.

Good area for sightseeing and fabulous food at The Fox up the road. Looking forward to staying again.

The setting and pitches are very good. We arrived at the weekend and due to COVID had no contact with the proprietors.

As a result there was little information about local facilities pubs buses etc.

Well signposted from the direction we arrived from.

Helpful & informative on arrival at reception.

Drinking water taps at regular intervals in the field.

New looking shower & toilet block (I didn’t see inside as I used my own facilities)

Elsan is located at reception so had to put cassette in my car to drive to empty it (too heavy for me to carry that far, but i’m sure others could manage)

Lovely woodland dog walk straight from the campsite.

Pitches are flat & are well marked out.

There is are no gaps or bushes between pitches, so in height of season if you were in the middle with pitches either side & behind you it could perhaps feel slightly cramped. We could hear every word being said in the caravan on the pitch behind us!

Play area for the kids.

Beautiful Country Park a short drive away.

There’s also a pub nearby (the fox) but we didn’t end up going there this time.

Bbq’s & fire pits are allowed as long as they are off the ground.

Aldi & waitrose are 4 miles away if you need to stock up.

Great place, we’ll be going again in the future.

Not good to find as sign posts needed to be either side of the road and bigger

Toilet and shower facilities poor need updating

New block was closed

Lovely field for caravan and camping

Had a lovely 2 week stay here. Very relaxed site. 2 toilet/shower blocks which were always spotless. Hand wash and sanitiser provided by wash basins, outside shower blocks and next to water taps.

Washing up liquid at dish wash stations. Free to use washing machine and fridge /freezer. Water taps on each field. Nice little forest walk on site.

David was very helpful when we reported a group of campers making lots of noise past midnight. He sorted it straight away and even texted us after to ask if it was quiet.

The only improvements I would suggest would be a ramp to CDP as you have to lift toilet cassette and grey water containers up to empty (We had to help an elderly couple) and a jubilee clip to hold rinsing hose onto tap! Also they need additional rubbish bins as these were always full.

We will definitely return!
