We found the site fairly easily and were using it as a pit stop on our way south. No one in reception on arrival, but a resident Dutchman told us to park where where we wished and we did. Early May was very wet and windy and the shower/toilet block was a bit cold and drafty. The owner pitched about 1900 but was very helpful and friendly. At Euro 11.50 it was OK. You need a token 1 euro for the showers. Warm enough but a bit cramped. We also used this site on our return leg and and used our previous experience to inform arrivals of the reception procedure which was most appreciated by a Belgian family who were struggling to find somewhere to pitch on a very popular holiday weekend. Would use again as it is convenient to Calais.

We used this site as an overnight stop it was easy to find The gate as open when we arrived at 7.30pm it was quite and we did not see anyone.
The toilets and showers were clean. And as said the reception was not open so phoned owners and asked if we would put the monies in the box. E would use the site again, but only for an overnight stop. The site is close to the ferry and euro tunnel

Ideal for the Calais ferry, this site is only minutes from the centre of Calais and even closer to Cite Europe. It's a fairly small site with a lot of static caravans but the available pitches are of a reasonable size and all appear to have electric hookup. The loos/showers were of a good standard and clean.
On arrival it was a case of find a pitch and set up camp, the office was open for 20 minutes in the evening. Charges for tent and 3 adults were only 13 Euros; bargain. They had a very few basic commodities in the office. If you miss office opening then drop payment through the letterbox.
Nearest shopping is in the village (Peuplingues) just down the road, but there is a large hypermarket (and fuel) at Coquelles just 5 minutes drive.
During the night it blew a Force 9 gale with rain but the site was so sheltered we hardly noticed the wind.
The ratings I've given are a bit low but, for a one or two night stay, the site is fine and we will certainly use it again.

This site is an ideal stopover for the Calais ferry. The site is largely made over for statics, but has an area for the overnighters. For a small site it has more than adequate toilet facilities, never the need to wait. In fact it has two toilet blocks! Each pitch has hookups. Surrounding area is quiet with only the small village of Peuplingues with shopping facilities. Two miles away is Coquelles which has a large shopping estate. The gate is always open so late arrivals can find a spot. If the gate is closed, then the area outside, for overnighters, can use the toilet block. The reception is only open for short periods during the morning and evening so paying is left to the honesty of the individual. We have happily used it for many years.
