Review is much the same as previous in relation to site. What I don't like is pricing system. 3 man tent with three persons sharing £21 per night.
Three man tent with one person £7 per night for same footprint. Only extra usage for 3 man is toilets. Shower is charged extra.
So what then are the two extra persons in 3man tent getting for £14 other than sleeping on prepaid ground and being charged for it.

This is a magical little site that I have been to several times over the years. If you are looking for state of the art, then look elsewhere. If you want a stunning location, with a brilliant pub next door this is it. The owner is a real friendly guy with a very laid back attitude, never any hurry or formality around collecting camp fees. Just relax and pitch your tent and he will be along at some point, toilets are very clean with soap and towels.
There is a very 'west coast crofter ' feel about the place with bits of farm equipment, old boats and unfinished projects lying around at the back of the site, but strangely this actually adds a bit of rustic charm.
We will be back, without a doubt

The fact that the only people on this site with a view of the loch are in the statics wouldn't have been so bad if the price had reflected this. £18 a night is not good value for money to look at the back of a static and some derelict farm buildings. What was worse was the additional charge for a shower, of which there were only one for each sex.
The wardens, however, were very friendly and helpful which made up, in part, for a disappointing week-end.

Fabulous location; this site is your only choice if you want to stay in Knapdale and enjoy the walking, cycling, canoeing and kayaking, and maybe see a beaver. However, it's the statics that enjoy the view of the pretty little bay full of boats, as the campers are coralled into a valley beside semi-derelict farm buildings, with tents crammed in far too close together. If you want to sit and enjoy the view, it's a short walk to the Inn by the shore, though the real ale is pricey.
The site is over-priced at 17 GBP for an electic hook-up pitch on grass behind a static van. Outdoor pot wash, no laundry, one ladies shower (needs a one pound coin), the two ladies loos struggled to cope, and their locks kept falling off. Phone to check if you need special facilities for disabled campers, as I think these are limited.
In fairness, the owner was friendly and helpful, offering us chocks for levelling. And it's a very relaxed site that's a great place for families: children can cycle on their own on the main road as there's so little traffic. The ferry to Jura leaves from Tayvallich but it's very expensive and doesn't work well for a day trip. Crinan Canal nearby is a great place to visit, as are the stone circles of Kilmartin Glen and its visitor centre to the north.
I find the area very attractive, so I'd come back and put up with a site that could be so much better.
