Just had 2 wonderful nights at Springwood Fisheries. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The site has wonderful views over the 2 fishing lakes. My only criticism is the toilet and shower facilities are very basic, and not enough to cope with the amount of visitors to the site. A quiet picturesque site, will definitely visit again.

Our first experience camping and this site has got us hooked. This site is small but beautiful and the owners are some of the friendliest approachable people I have met. The site was secure and felt very safe and seems ideal for a quiet break from home. The log pods face the pool and one day I would like to return to try one. There is a slope so be careful in which direction you pitch up. Also there is only 1 male and 1 female toilet and are in wooden sheds which were not private enough in my opinion, if they were modernised brick building this site would be perfect. I would definitely return and if the toilets were upgraded I would spend a huge amount of time there.

Great site, nice and quiet overlooking fishing lakes. New owners have taken over so any bad reviews from years ago should be discounted.
If you are expecting lots of things to do on site, then this site won't be for you but if you want a nice quiet picturesque site that is within easy reach of Leicester/Tamworth then it couldn't be better.
There isn't a lot to do for children but mine enjoyed climbing a mound behind the caravan and exploring the near-by woods the best anyway.

We have just come back from a very enjoyable stay at Springwood Fisheries. We found the warden Gary very helpful and very friendly.
Fishing was ok but unfortunately due to lack of rain fall the lakes were low and in some places the depth very shallow but we still caught double figures.
The shower is in a 'plastic shed' but was kept clean and loads of hot water, the only downside of this was there is no light in it so you have to go for a shower in the daylight!
The toilets again were in sheds but kept clean apart from the leaves blowing in under the door!
One thing to mention, take your own loo roll cos you may be caught out.

Well what can I say, this was a hidden treasure to a certain extent. We pulled onto this site and it looks beautiful, two lakes glorious surroundings and a fishermans paradise. Brilliant value for money £18.00 for 2 nights, £6.00 Adult and £3.00 for children to fish. My husband and son caught some really good sized fish and loved every minute of it. Having said all of the above there is a down side to this site, there are only two toilets, which were spotless but there is no showers. There is a road within a couple of feet running behind your pitch but the worst thing we found was it is on a flight path for Donnington airport, which meant plane noise from 6.00a.M. Until 11.30pm. Which happened about every 5 - 10 minutes all day, it did get slightly annoying. Having said that, because of the surroundings and the fishing we will more than likely revisit this site and would definitely recommend it, just be aware of the above before booking.

What a hidden treasure. We are not fishing people, but it was still enjoyable to sit and watch them. 5 pitches on grass, gravel road to the pitches. Plenty of room, all overlooking the lake/s. Ideal if you do fish. Fall out of your caravan and sit and fish all day.
Toilets basic but clean, shrubs/bushes, etc all still growing. Lovely place, we will return, there is road noise, but goes quiet at night.
