We booked 3 nights here having read the positive reviews of the site.
We only live 23 miles away so knew the locality of this site pretty well.
On arriving in torrential rain, it was a very warm welcome to receive a cup of tea / coffee from Brett.
The field is very well drained and any puddles of rain soon cleared so it wasn't a case of a muddy field which was great.
Security was A* with a security gate and with the surrounding enclosure- we felt happy for our young son to play safely.
Only downside was the noise from the road, but we knew about that before arriving, and put the intrusive noise at certain times of day down to us being 'country bumpkins'
Plenty of places to see and visit within a very easy 20 minute drive.
We would return again with no hesitation and would highly recommend this little gem.

This site is a little gem. The toilet and showers are very clean and tidy, the site is well looked after by Sue and Brett, and nothing is too much trouble for them. On arriving Sue offered us a cup of tea, coffee or even a cold drink which we find to be very nice after our long journey from the North East. Sue even gave us a booklet that they put together showing shops, pubs and the nice little villages around about. We went twice to a little village called Burley which we find very interesting. When down that way we also visited Mudeford Beach and Quay having been to Christchurch and the surrounding areas about 35 years ago while we were just courting we found the area had changed a lot, but the priory at Christchurch was just as nice as we had remembered it. We will recommended this site to anyone that enjoys a peaceful holiday and we will go back again. We would give this gem of a site 10/10

This really is one of the best sites we have stayed at, and I don't want to write a review because it is a little gem that I would prefer to keep as an unspoilt-secret.
However, praise where it is certainly due and the owners, Sue & Brett, are lovely friendly people who are only to happy to help in any way they can, and this includes providing a refreshing tea/coffee/beer/soft drink/ice-cream for everyone in the group when we arrived.
There is a modern and clean toilet/shower block with seperate male/female facilities at either end, with one shower, one toilet and one sink for each sex, and the showers are free of charge. I felt this to be more than adequate as the site is limited to only 5 'vans, being a CL listed site. There is a fresh-water tap next to the shower block and a grey-water/elsan point behind the shower block.
Each pitch is generously sized and all have EHU and their own Chiminea, which our girls loved for toasting marshmallows in the evening! The pitches are positioned around the edge of the field, which is gently sloping in parts and relatively flat in others so levelling the van is not a problem, and there is plenty of space for the kids to play in the middle of the field in full view of all vans on the site. The site itself is is bordered by tall fences and high hedges/mature trees, whilst the only gate in/out is a secure/solid electronic key-code one. Overall a very secure site.
On-site facilities include a small climbing frame/slide/swing frame for the kids and a small outdoor heated and covered pool, which is free for use by those staying, though there is a restriction on children not being allowed in the pool before 10.00 or after 17.00. The pool is in a separate fenced-off area of the site but kids are your own responsibility and the pool is unsupervised. There is a hot-tub and a sauna available for use by any adults staying on the site, though there is an additional cost for these if you want to use them. There is also a small 'welcome-hut' which has lots of local tourist information leaflets, and some games/books/dvds etc to use if you wish. Brett & Sue have also printed up their own little welcome booklet with handy tips such as where pubs/launderettes etc are.
The site is very well situated for Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Ringwood, Burley, Brokenhurst and Wimbourne-minster (rowing on the river on a sunny-summer's-afternoon).
For the younger children - say up to age 7 - Adventure Wonderland is very close (they take part in the Tesco-Voucher scheme - so cheaper to get in) and there is an outdoor dry-ski-slope 5 minutes drive away from the site. Bournemouth airport is also very close, though the site is NOT on the flightpaths and there was no noise form the airport. Also close by is the Moor Valley Park with its woodland walks/tree-top-trail etc. You could also try Mudeford Quay for crabbing or going out on a boat for a few hours catching mackerel.
Facilities/shops within 5 minutes drive include Sainsbury/Lidl/petrol stations etc. Etc. Etc.
This was our second year at the site and we have booked to go back again, twice, next year. Our girls love it there, as do we and this is in no small part due to Brett & Sue working very hard at being friendly and helpful hosts, without intruding on your holiday.
The only point you may need to think of, and this is nothing to do with the site itself, is that if you are relying on the AA routefinder or your Sat-Nav to get you there you may find the directions lead you into a country park (which I found very entertaining with a van on the hook!). This is probably due to the numerous tracks/unadopted roads through the new forest and Sat-Navs not recognising which ones can be used. The other thing was that my Sat nav recognised the location when I got there as 224 Hurn Road, not 218 - again, hardly Sue and Brett's fault!
My recommendation is that of you want a good break at a small, clean, safe and friendly site you would struggle to do better than this. So, give them a call before they fill-up as pretty much everyone I have met there books to go back again the next year, and there are only 5 pitches on the site!

I must tell you about this fab little cl. We stayed for a week in August and had a great time. The owners Brett and Sue are smashing people and great hosts. Swimming pool is superb as are the showers and toilet, all clean and maintained to a high standard. The pitches are spacious but not all level, however no probs with a chock. The only downside to this otherwise superb site is the traffic noise, it realy is loud at times. This was not a problem for us but sitting in the awning chatting is quite a challenge at certain times of the day. We shall visit again next year.

Have stayed at many CL’s as they are generally good value for money. This CL stands out from the rest in so many ways. It has only been open for a short while. The owners have just started doing bed and breakfast for 6 guests and while we were there were just having the finishing touches done to their bungalow. The paving all round the swimming pool was about to be replaced and campers on the CL will be able to use it when everything is finished shortly. We loved every single feature of it. The site is very secure as entrance is via an electric gate. There were three covered picnic tables, children's play area, information room which had plenty of leaflets and general information in. There were two outdoor chairs and a box full of sports items i.e. Cricket bats, badminton bats etc. Every pitch had been allocated its own chiminere. The only downside to the site is the noise from the main road but the sheer perfection of the site makes up for any noise. Sue and Brett the owners made us so welcome the minute we arrived and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect for our stay. We are going to vote for this site as our favourite CL and have promised them that we will return some time next year.
