Large number of statics on this site, country house type hotel at top of the site, book in at reception there. Touring area all hard standing there seemed to be quite a few long term caravans on the touring area.

Toilet / shower block is having improvements done at the time of my visit, looked like a new CDP and washing up area. Skipton is within walking distance about one and a half miles, and is a pleasant walk, the town itself is interesting, with a castle, canal and a large market 4 days a week

I'd previously posted about well drained pitches, sorry but that's not the case. Two visits recently have seen sodden grass and we've been placed, (happily), on the car park section. If you want a newspaper, order it when you book your pitch. Still no signs to indicate where to dispose of grey waste water.

Still good value IMHO at £14 per night inc EHU. A resident there told us about a lovely walk through the top of the site and this was very much enjoyed, ask staff about it if you're interested.

Well drained grass pitches, EHU's and water taps here & there. Nice clean facilities with plenty of free hot water. No clearly defined area (that we could see) for waste water dumping though. Toilet waste disposal, err, a bit primitive shall we say, it's literally a toilet set in the ground. Not the best, not the worst either. £12 a night with elec, pay by CC over the phone and suffer 1.75% charge for your troubles. Lovely views here and there around the site. Nice walk into Skipton, takes about 15 mins, bit of a pull coming back up the hill, get a taxi (£3.50) if you have had a pint. Or 6. Posh looking country manor type pub at the top of the site, didn't go in though. Nice happy smiling chap delivered papers the 2 days we were there. Will be back.

I booked this campsite by e-mail using the weblink above, they responded promptly and helpfully.

My wife and I, with two children, touring caravan and awning were charged 14 pounds per night including electric hook up. There are no specific children's areas on the site, but the toilets and showers were spotless, free, and nearby.

Skipton is about three minutes drive, once you've navigated the 4 speed humps to get to the main road.

The caravan park is mainly for static caravans, and there is a pub at the top of the hill, about 2 minutes walk away. It was very quiet during the weekdays that we stayed though.

We enjoyed our few days here and would recommend it to others.

Hoping that helps anyone looking for a place to stay near Skipton!
