We have just returned from a lovely 2 night break, the site is set in the lovely grounds of Tarn House and everything is spot on!
Staff are friendly and helpful, Facilities are great there's a little well stocked shop at the side of reception, children's play area, and spotless toilet and shower facilities etc.
It's located just a 30 min stroll from the centre of Skipton and when you return back there a lovely bar in the main house with a good selections of drinks and again warm welcoming staff,
We will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely location, walking distance to Skipton, warm, clean toilet block with hot powerful showers (not the press button one either).
We were on the ramblings, which is basically a car park at the entrance to the site, but it's fine; hardstanding fully serviced pitches, the only criticism is that you're under the trees, so if it's been raining you get constant drips, and at this time of year lots of leaves!
No WiFi.
£32 per night which is comparable to sites with similar facilities.
There a clubhouse on the site although we didn't use it. There also a children's play park although it's nowhere near the touring pitches.
Lots of walks nearby.

Site is vast, and a bit distant to town. We went for Xmas markets which were OK.
Grassington had a lovely victoriana day which highly recommend.
The site itself has a bar and we went to watch England game. Bar area is tired and residents prevailed but did what it needed to.
Probably wouldn't return as too far out and on arrival ehu was broken, site has only small number of touring sites so should have been checked prior to arrival.

Great site now with a playground on main static site and discounted taxis at £5 each way into Skipton due to 1. 2mile 217ft hill climb back but we had electric bikes so not req.
Booking process and staff excellent.
Pitches 1 to 4 are under trees and dark so suggest ask for a higher number pitch, most are close together though and grass was long on pitch during our stay, toilets are fabulous.
Golf driving range next door but you can not hear it, Embsay & Bolton Abbey steam railway is only 7min drive (20mins by bike) and was great and you can walk to the Abbey if you plan it and catch a later train back to Embsay, You can also cycle or walk along canal to Gargrave from Skipton and cycle, bus or Train back.
Overall a great stay and will be back.

Really impressed with the site and facilities. Hard standing, serviced pitches. Staff were very professional and polite.
A 20 minute walk into Skipton with discounted taxi service back! The site is dog friendly but the on site bar/hotel is not.
This was our first visit but we will return next year.

Good pitch near toilets which was very well looked after,
Only criticism is it was very noisy, the road which we were next to was a through road to the mobile homes with the residents coming in later night and leaving early morning.
The campsites has a good bar in the hotel with lovely staff.
It took us about 20mins with a easy walk down into Skipton to visit the castle and had a canal boat ride with a walk back up the hill to campsite, you can get a taxi if you don't fancy the walk back.

Large static caravan park with small corner reserved for tourers and motor homes. 2 fields, each of 9 hardstandings which have been recently developed, separated by newly planted hedges.
The site is well presented and maintained but the pitches are just not big enough and very close together. The car has to go across the front of the van and if you erected an awning you’d struggle to have somewhere to sit outside and two strides from it you’d be in your neighbours pitch.
I get the impression they were designed for motor homes rather than caravans. Kids playing with balls near the cars and vans didn’t help either.
Shame really as it’s in a good location but don’t think we’ll be returning.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay at this site. Site is a short walk or drive into the centre of skipton, however it’s a steep walk back. Facilities were great, toilets were nice and clean and showers are very spacious. Also there is the added bonus of a family bathroom which was ideal for our two young children. Water and waste water on the pitch so no fetching and carrying and there’s a tv socket with the hook up.
Check in staff were lovely.
Good value for money, 4 nights in August for 2 adults 2 toddlers and a dog for less than £25 per night!
Only negative was the amount of taxis dropping people off on site in the evening.
We shall be returning!

This site is close to Skipton and easily within walking distance and is served by a local taxi service.
It has good, clean ablutions and the capability for full services on the pitch if required. The down side is that the condition and layout of the touring area is very poor.
The grass areas between pitches are very small and don't appear to be regularly cut. The grass areas are not contained by edging and are therefore growing into the road area and pitches.
The rectangular touring pitch area is basic and it reminded me of a caravan storage area. No-one sat outside their caravan /motorhome whilst we were there due to the poor surroundings.
It does not help that the touring area is adjacent to a site road which was the drop off and pick up point for taxis. This area was also the only place on site were children could play and could therefore be quite noisy.
In future, I could only see me staying at this site for a one night stopover if nowhere else was available.
