What a cracking site, I'd love to keep it a secret to myself but I guess this isn't the point of the website!
Excellent all round with great facilities, lovely clean showers and toilets. Wonderful site owners who couldn't do enough for us.
Site location is stunning, if a little windy; with everything North Devon has to offer within easy distance.
Kids playground basic but kept our two (11 & 13) more than occupied, loved all the animals and the free range chickens everywhere.
The pitch was huge, almost like having a field to ourselves and gave the site a nice open feel to it.
All in all a great holiday.

Booked this site after reading the good reviews and was very disappointed. Lack of cleanliness is a huge issue at this site. Toilets and showers were filthy. Saw them been cleaned once during our 2 week stay and that was with a hosepipe - no Flash in sight!
There is a family room available but this is also dirty and after seeing somebody using it to shower their three dogs we decided not to use it to clean our children!
There was also a problem with the electric hook up - twice during our stay all the pitches in our field were without electric.
On the plus side the site is well situated for touring North Devon and the views towards the sea were good from our pitch. Resident horse and donkey kept the children amused and the water in the showers was always hot (though not in the washing up room).
Has potential to be a good site if issues with cleanliness are addressed but we will definitely not be visiting this site again

Really lovely site
Friendly owners offered to help with the tent as it was windy and the kids had run off to play in the play area.
The play area was safe and the kids loved it spent most of their time there playing or they were feeding the ducks and chickens.
Plenty of room on the pitch for a big tent we have a hartford xl and there was plenty of room for the tent and car.
Electric hookup was a proper 16 amp supply so it didn't trip out and hookup points are close to pitches so no extension needed.
Toilets and showers were always clean and well looked after.
Even after it rained (it is summer) the ground dried really quickly and didn't turn into a mud bath.
We went with friends and had a great time on a friendly site and will definitely be going back again soon.

Sunnymead Farm was a lovely site, really friendly, good clean facilities while being in a great location.
Being in the middle of Ifracombe and Woolacombe, we didn't have to venture any further than these places, we found plenty to do in our weeks stay.
We (a family of four) all enjoyed ourselves, the kids made friends quickly and were in a safe area with a nice play area to play in.
We will definitely be booking up again next year at this site and have already recommended it to many of our friends.

Just returned from this site after spending a week here with our 2 children and dog.
The pitches are good, spacious and mainly level.
The road was noisy and was very noticeable when we first arrived but we got used to it after a few days.
The location is brilliant, in between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, had lots of lovely days out from here.
There is a small park on the site which kept our kids happy, although please note the swing has nylon rope and my two had rope burns on their hands after a couple of days.
The showers were good, powerful and warm, however they were only clean the first day we arrived and didn't appear to be cleaned for the whole week we were there, which was very disappointing.
There was a mop and bucket left out which I used the first couple of days, to mop out the cubicle before and after I used the shower, much to the surprise of another camper as she mistook me for the cleaner, however this bucket never got changed the whole week were there either, so by the end of the week it was a bucket of hair and grass. Not very nice at all. There was also only one toilet cubicle in here, so there was often a queue for the loo.
The washing up area was also in my opinion dirty, although other campers did leave bowls full of fat and grime from their BBQ washing up, but this area also didn't appear to be cleaned the whole week we were there. There were 2 toilets in this same block, which I didn't think was ideal, people coming out of the loo and washing their hands in the washing up sink.
The whole area by the toilets was a bit untidy, a path leading down to the bridleway had been constructed, but their was a rusty old mower and other bits of rubbish thrown here.
We never ate from the food van, so cannot comment on this.
I would not stay here again but it served the purpose of being a base to park up at every night and sleep, I think the cleanliness of the site really let it down, as it is in a prime area, and if it had been clean and tidy I would probably have returned.

This pleasantly situated campsite offers splendid views over open country with distant vista views of the sea. The site owners are very welcoming and willing to assist in any way possible.
The small toilet/shower blocks are kept very clean but can get busy around breakfast time in peak periods. The owners now offer excellent cooked breakfasts at very reasonable prices in the summer months. There is a small play area with a climbing frame.
Tents, caravans and motorhomes are equally welcome and a number of pitch options are available from basic pitch only to fully serviced pitch with hook up, water supply and drain; we had one of the latter and were so pleased that we have taken out a seasonal pitch reservation for this year and next.
The site is within easy reach of Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and all of the glorious scenery which North Devon and West Somerset offer.
The added bonus, for those on a budget, is that this is, without doubt, one of the least expensive camping & caravan sites in Devon. Dogs and children are most welcome.

Spent one night on this site whilst touring in the area.
Owners were not there but relation looking after site very friendly and helpful. New toilet / showers block which was warm, clean and plenty of hot water.
Only a few miles from Woolacombe with its great surfing beaches ad Ilfracombe is the opposite direction.
We found the site to be well cared for and good value at £8 with ehu. The only complaint would be the main road - noise continued through out the night with traffic going in and out of Woolacombe.

This site is well located for the beautiful North Devon coast and has distant sea views. We visited during peak season and found the road noise very intrusive as the site is on the other side of the hedge to one of the main roads heading for Woolacombe / Mortehoe etc. We didn't think the premier pitches looked worth the high charge for an individual water tap as it wasn't far to the tap from anywhere on site.
At busy times the toilets and showers were not enough for the number of people on site and there did seem to be problems keeping them clean, so could not recommend going in high season.
There is a playframe for kids at one end of the tent field.
Woolacombe has a fantastic beach and Mortehoe is a lovely village with places to get great food.A lovely corner of the world but all-in-all we felt the site needed a bit of work to bring it up to value for the money it charges.

Stayed here over half-term week with 4 children aged 5,8,9 and 14. We had fantastic weather, which really made the holiday! The campsite is lovely. The pitches are very spacious - we had a large 9 man tent and two cars and still had loads of space.
The owners were very friendly and relaxed. The children loved the little play area and enjoyed feeding the ducks and chickens bread! We were pitched right next to a small paddock in which were two ponies.
Every time we cooked they would come over and stick their heads over the fence trying to get a taster! The children would give the ponies their apples which they loved!
The toilet/shower block was kept very clean and there was a plentiful supply of hot water. There is a family shower room with a toilet and baby bath in to, which I should imagine was a godsend for families with very young children.
The site was reasonably priced and the location was great. Five minutes from Woolacombe and five minutes in the other direction to Ilfracombe. We spent quite a lot of time just relaxing on the campsite though! They sold fresh duck and chicken eggs on site. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be back for a second visit.

We've just been back for the 3rd time to a fantastic site. The play area is great and safe for the children.
As well as the new shower / toilet block last year the existing toilet / shower / washing up block has been updated and is now great. Site very busy but very well organised, didn't have to wait for showers.
View of the sea from the tent was breathtaking. The surrounding area provides lots to do, Woolacombe and Croyde for surfing, Lynton & Lynmouth inc. Watersmeet for fantastic scenery.
Great pub with children's play area called the Old Mill just down the hill from the campsite. Fantastic site, just booked for our summer holidays. Owners great and very helpful and friendly.
