 We stayed at this site during the Spring Bank Holiday. We only wanted to stay 2 nights, but were told we had to book for 3 nights, due to it being the Bank Holiday, we accepted this rule, as a lot of other sites also have this stipulation. However, on talking with other campers there, it appears we were the only ones that had to pay for 3 nights. All we spoke to had only paid for 2, so that made us feel a bit 'ripped off'.
The site itself is level, divided over 2 fields. There are no designated pitches and we have a large tent, so we had no problems in pitch size. There are no 'noise rules' as far as we could tell, but no one was partying till all hours, so we didn't have any trouble sleepng.
Prices were very reasonable, especially considering it was Bank Holiday; we paid £19.00 per night for 4 people, 1 dog and 1 vehicle.
Facilities were very basic, 1 shower, 2 ladies toilets, one gents toilet.Plus a trough outside! One washroom / washing up area. But the shower was free and there was hot running water in the washroom. Everywhere seemed to be kept very clean and well-supplied with loo roll!
For the price this isn't a bad site at all, but there was no where to re-freeze ice blocks and there is no shop (not even milk available - maybe the owners could take these into consideration) but there was a garage / shop a few minutes down the road, which was a life-saver!
