We go to greenacres loads, in fact spend all summer holidays there, the kids love it. I am a single mum to 3 children aged, 5, 6 and 8 and they all cry coming home. The comment below about showering before or after the park closes is wrong, the showers are open all day, yes I agree they aren't the cleanest but nor the dirtiest, the cleaner does what she can, it's campers themselves who leave it in a disgrace, remember we all have different standards, but they are always piping hot, yes you do have to fiddle with the temperature gauge, but honestly I have never had a cold shower there in all the 4 years we have been going The children love the park, the fees are brill, not expensive considering you get to use all the farm park activities during the day and the club is open during the evening. All the staff work so hard and they are brill.
Can't wait for may half term and all weekends in July, all summer holidays and any other weekend we can fit in, this alone speaks for itself, if you look around at the type of campers many many are there for the whole holidays that alone speaks volumes.

We spent the weekend here, was disappointed no lighting around the site at night, the showers were very cold. You share the same toilets as customers who come to see the animals. Also the showers are also in the same block as the toilets, so you have to be showered before the park opens or when its shut. We paid £52.00 for 2 nights and do not mind paying if facilities are up to scratch but they were not.

We are regular campers at Greenacres and always look forward to our next trip. Being single Mums with young children, we feel completely safe as when there are any inconsiderate campers, Ronnie the campsite manager, always deals with them promptly.
Our children absolutely love it there and there are always tears when we have to leave. They love David, Tony and Tom's tractor rides as do us Mums !
Professor Paulos, the entertainer, is hilarious. His shows are not to be missed.
Peter's discos are great fun for kids and adults alike.
Andy's bbq nights are a real hit. Not many sites offer free, good quality food.
And talking of food - Val, Elaine, Catherine and the other staff in the cafe are just brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
The showers and toilets are basic but clean. We suggested a few improvements to John, the owner, and he acted on them. Debbie, the cleaner, works tirelessly, morning and evening cleaning up the terrible mess that some selfish people leave behind.
The rest of the farm staff - too many to mention - all do a fantastic job.
The only downside to Greenacres is the sometimes poor customer service. But this will not stop us returning. Overall, a great place to stay.

We stayed for a weekend break, our daughter really enjoyed the farm.
The viewing circle was great and she was able to hold and feed many different animals which meant we didn't need to pay for other day trips.
The facilities were basic but cleaned regular. I do think campers should have separate facilities to the day visitors.
There is a big asda nearby which came in handy and an Ice Rink and Leisure Centre.
I would go back again but only for a short breaks.

Just arrived back from a 2 day break at Greenacres, we had a great time my children are 8 and 12 and loved it.
We enjoyed it so much we tried to get another night but they were fully booked.
The toilets were clean enough and just a short walk to get too, they are not just for the campers though they are used by every visitor going to the farm park I didn't find it a problem but some might do.
The nightly entertainment was very good it opened up at 8pm & shuts at 10.45 so you don't have loud noise too late.
The drinks at the bar were cheap enough and they sold some tasty snacks as well.

This is the second time we have stayed at Greenacres.
Although the facilities are basic, they are clean and well maintained.
There is a huge Asda near by and a handy bar and cafe on site that are open at night peak season.
The kids love the whole experience and I would recommend it to anyone, camping here is real value for money with entry to the Farm Park included in your fees.
The only downside is that on the both occasions that we have stayed, it has been very noisy at night. Having said that the pros outweigh the cons and I would definitely camp here again.

Stayed at this campsite for 3 nights, NEVER again ! I couldn't wait to leave !
You have to share the toilet/shower facilities with the people visiting the park which is a very long walk for the campers.
The shower key was difficult to work due to the lock on door handle being lose, thankfully the cleaning lady was always there in the morning to help out.
The poor cleaning lady had a lot of mess to clean everyday twice a day.
The campsite was extremely overcrowded, we were only centimetres from the tent next door.
The main gates shut at 11pm so if you are wanting in later than that you had to phone the number given at the gate & get charged £10 for it to be open & the gates don't open until 7:30am the following morning.
Not good at all for fire & safety regulations !
The bar & arcade only open IF the site have enough campers staying.
We were told all dogs were to be kept on leads so we obeyed this due to it being an animal park, but there were lots of dogs roaming & running riot around the place, this also caused a lot of dog fouling which was never picked up.
I must say for the £22 per night we were charged this was a rip off !

Stayed for 3 nights with my husband and 2 children aged 7, 9. We have had a fantastic break.
There are a wide variety of animals to look at in the park area of the site. There is also a viewing circle where my children got to hold baby chicks, ducklings, kittens and feed baby goats (big hit). There was an itinery that was promptly kept to where they could have met other animals.
There was a club with shows and a tractor ride, cannot comment on these as we did not use them.
There was also a small fair, arcade, cafe and pony rides. Plenty to keep everyone occupied.
Only criticism was the fact that there was only 1 toilet/shower block which was also used by people visiting the park in the day but not camping, it was also a bit dated however, cleaned regularly.
In summary we had a lovely time and would highly recommend the site, we will definitely visit again in the future.

What a great place. My 5yr daughter thought the farm park was amazing and it was a bit different being woken up by howling lemurs and a few cockerels. The puppies and kittens were a big hit also, and winning the quiz one night and having chips as a prize.
Highly recommended for adults and kids.
Only thing was Saturday night there was a disco about a 1/2 a mile away and the noise carried a bit with the loud music but didn't really bother us. There is an Asda or Tesco about 5mins away.
The price you pay to camp includes entry fee to farm park.
