What a super little site. Owners are friendly and helpful, site well kept they even pick the majority of the cut grass up what a relief that is
There are one ladies toilet, one gents toilet one shower and a launderette with one washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. There is also a sink for dish washing.
Its only a small five unit site with occasional tents so the facilities are adequate. The facilities are clean and well cared for. The views from the site are stupendous, we were lucky to have good weather when we were there.
There is even an area to exercise the dog. Its situated about a mile out of Leek on the Buxton Road, perfect for shopping, there is a co op just down the road.
Its also a perfect spot for sight seeing. There is plenty to do in the area. Well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at leek edge farm. Norman and Jackie were really nice.
The facilities were basic but very clean and we were grateful for using them.
Norman the owner even let our daughter on his red tractor which she enjoyed
Norman checked on us regularly which was nice
The weather was typical uk weather (raining constantly) and our new 8 man tent we brought leaked, but we've brought another and will hopefully be returning back to leek edge farm with our four children when the weather gets better
Would recommend to anyone!

Arrived Friday evening for the may bank holiday. Got caught up in traffic on M6 rang the site to say we would not get there till about 8pm they said that it was ok.
Owner gave us choice of 2 pitches we picked one & he helped us manoeuvre our caravan into place. Most pitches were hard standing & fully serviced.
The facilities on site were very good, they even had a washing machine / dryer & ironing board.
The site is a good base for visiting areas around Staffordshire, Derbyshire / the Peak District, plenty of good walks & nice villages. We did a walk round tittersworth reservoir & had a very large / nice scone & a pot of tea at the visitor centre.
We went to alton towers as we had free tickets only 12mls from site approx 2o mins drive.
The owners are very friendly & recommended a few places to eat & said if we like a carvery the hotel rudyard in rudyard village about 10 mins drive is very good. So we went for our tea on Sunday & we can recommend it.
We asked what time we had to leave the site on Monday & he said you can leave when you want, so we left about about 3pm.
We will stay at this site again.

Arrived on Thursday before bank holiday weekend in August.
Owners were very friendly and gave us a choice of a couple of spaces, which most of the hardstanding pitches seemed to be fully serviced pitches. Once we had decided owner even helped get the caravan onto the pitch and level (there is a slight slope so remember your levelling blocks).
Facilities were clean and basic - two toilets, shower room, washing up area and washing machine and dryer. Didn't seem over crowded, especially as there was a caravan rally in the field adjacent to the site. Storage facilities on site, so there was a few people coming and going, but never caused a problem.
Pub 2 mins walk away which we used a couple of times (as we did not have the kids with us), food was good and very reasonable and pub quiz on Sunday which was great fun.
Used as base to visit Leek, Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock Bath. Don't forget to get your original bakewell tarts. We made the mistake of only buying two.
Supermarket 2 mins drive away, Leek town centre about 20 mins walk.
Nice little site, would use again.

We stayed at this site over the Spring Bank Holiday for 5 nights. What a lovely little site. The facilities are all in one block, 1 shower, 2 toilets, a washer and dryer and a washing up sink, basic and functional.
The local town of Leek is a 5 minute drive away.
We visited Alton Towers which was a twenty minute drive. The owners of the site are very friendly and helpful.
It is the first time we have visited the area, it is a lovely area with plenty to do and see.
We would return to this site if we visited the area again.

We stayed at this site for two nights so we could visit Alton Towers on the Saturday.
The couple who run the site are very friendly and helpful. There are 3 separate areas to the campsite. The front field is mainly for tents but I think there is 1 or 2 EHU in this field. The middle field had mostly caravans and we were in the small area around the back which also had EHU. I believe they only use this area at weekends. We had lovely views across the countryside from our tent.
All the facilities are at the front of the site attached to the owners house. There is a room which houses laundry facilities, a sink for washing up, 1 gents toilet, 1 ladies toilet and 1 shower. The facilities were all kept very clean whilst we were there. There is also a lot of information about places to eat/local walks etc which was very helpful.
We had a meal at the Moss Rose Pub (2 minute walk from site) which was very nice and reasonably priced. There is quite a long wait for food though especially if it is busy.
All in all I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a site with basic facilities in a beautiful area.

We came across this site using the big camping book from CCC, we just wanted to go local as we were trying out our tent plus kids plus dogs for the first time!. (with electric hookup) (2 nights stay 3-5th July 2009)
When I rang to enquire the gentleman owner (Norman) was very honest and said that he wasn't planning on taking any other campers for the weekend we were going as they were catering for a school party of about 30 14/15 year olds who would be staying there. I told him this didn't bother us as we had kids anyway (boy 10, girl 9, and boy 2)and a dog. I really appreciated his honesty.
We found the camp really easily and thought it was in a lovely area. Norman took us to a little field away from the school party which we had to ourselves. Beautiful views of the Roaches, and surrounding.
There was one male toilet and one female toilet and one shower all in the same block, (could really do with more for the size of the site) along with the laundry facilities (which we didn't need to use) and plenty of information (leaflets) on what things to do and places to go in the area.
I used the shower and couldn't really figure out the shower temperature but my 10 year old son used it twice and loved it so maybe I was doing something wrong!
The owners were very friendly and like a previous post says, Norman came to visit a few times during our stay to chat.
Even though there was no park for the kids (which we did know not to expect) they really enjoyed it, especially being shown the tractor and our youngest being allowed to sit on it!) We didn't want to go to a flash site with everything on for the first camping trip as we didn't want to spoil the kids into thinking that they would always get those facilities.
All of us agreed that it was a lovely site and we had a lovely time and would definitely visit here again!

This is a great little site, in fact I'm surprised more people haven't left reviews about it. My partner and I visited for two nights over the late may Bank holiday. The couple who run it are lovely and very helpful, in fact the gentleman popped by our tent at least once every day to check we were ok and have a little chat! There are only two toilets (one gents and one ladies) and one shower, but we never had to queue for too long and were happy with the facilities. In the same block there is also a washing up sink and laundry facilities. The block did get quite muddy, but it had been raining all week before we came so it couldn't really be helped. In any case it was cleaned regularly, and a mop was left handy in between times!
Our pitch was tucked into the corner of the site, and had a fantastic view of the Roaches, where we went walking during our stay. It is a brilliant location for hiking and cycling, with local ameneties very close by. It is right next to The Moss Rose pub, which has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere (and a very big dog!), with good food at reasonable prices. There is also the Red Lion just over a mile down the road, with a lovely beer garden and what looked like a brilliant menu, although we didn't have time to try it.
Overall I would highly recommend this site, and we will definitely be going back.

What a lovely little site, it is tucked behind the Moss Rose pub. On site you have a laundry (very cheap), toilets, shower, washing up facilities, electric and waste disposal.
There are five pitches for caravans but plenty of spaces for tents on top of that.
The couple who own this site are very friendly and ever so helpful.
Leek is only a 5 minute drive away which has everything you could need and there is a Co-op on the drive into Leek for those out of hours things.
Buxton is only 20mins away which is a lovely day out as well.
There are many attractions local to this camp site and within the laundry area you will find all the leaflets in connection with these.
We had an absolutely fabulous weekend and will definitely be staying here on a regular basis. We didn't try the pub this time but will next.
Most definitely a 10/10 if you are just looking for a chilling weekend.
