A very nice little site Mr Mrs Hall were always there if needed.
The hardstanding pitches were all fully serviced.
The site is in a triangle with roads on two sides, some reviews have mentioned road/ traffic noise been an issue we didn't find it too much of a problem.
Toilet block is quite small but ample.
We spent 9 nights here paying £25 a night and really enjoyed our stay.

We have been here before and will continue to revisit. Welcomed By Jackie and Norman who we found to be the most pleasant c c c people you could wish to meet.
The site and facilities are as already described barring comments about being tired.
These sites are getting harder to find and we found it suited us, clean, functional, friendly, enough space for tents with great vistas.
Even tourist information and dvds in the washing/ laundry/ shower/ toilet building. What more can you ask for?
You probably know by now we love the place.
Back-packing days for us are over but any walkers in need of a pleasant stay I would recommend Leek edge. Get a pint in Leek just down the road as well.
Thank you for reading our review, Ann and Gerry

We went to the end of the site road to find a great pitch with panoramic view of the Peak District hills beyond.
Facilities clean and straightforward, electric hookup and water - everything you need is here.
Owner was very helpful.
Leek is just a 15 min walk to the town for places to eat - best Indian meal we have had in years!
Went for a long walk to Tittesworth Reservoir - more great views, including The Roaches, and a great cafe at the visitor centre.
Planning a return visit, might do it all again….

Easy to find site, with friendly welcome. Excellent location for walking into Leek (10 minutes and not too much of a hill coming home at all), lots of places to enjoy a drink and eat.
Beautiful views from the site, which does border the road so some traffic noise.
Facilities are a tittle tired but have seen much worse. Have stayed in quite a number of small sites this summer and this one definitely at the lower end of pricing by a long way.
A good site to base yourself at for all the surrounding attractions / walking or if you are visiting Leek, (easy access from road, no small lanes) rather than one that you would stay at throughout the day.

The closest park to leek which has many interesting pubs and eateries, but the 1 mile walk is all downhill going and uphill on return, so had to resort to a taxi on return journeys.
The toilet block was functional but very tired, a spring clean and an afternoon with a paint brush would make it much more welcoming. The pitches are fully serviced and reasonably flat.
Priced at the top end for a cl, which would be justified with a general tidy up of pitches and facilities.

Lovely, small site. Friendly owners. Beautiful views.
Lovely tapas restaurant next door and leek only a mile walk away.
Facilities adequate, only one shower and a toilet for each gender. Cleaning products available for tidying up after yourself, ensuring covid safe.
Will definitely be coming back.

The site was very close to the A53 and, hence quite noisy. Also, there were businesses operating from various farm buildings.
However we enjoyed our stay because of the fabulous view and the closeness of Leek town centre-10 minutes walk.
The on site facilities were adequate but the sanitation and cleaning regime was non - existent a DIY situation.

Great location for visiting Leek, The Roaches, Rudyard Lake, Tittesworth Reservoir and the many surrounding places of interest.
For the price per night the facilities and grounds could do with a little extra TLC and the shower and toilet can only be rated as fair.
I was more than a little surprised to be told, 4 days into our stay, that the hard standing was not for caravans but for awnings and the caravan should have been immediately adjacent on the grass.
Perhaps it would have helped if we had been told this on arrival or during the booking process.
Be aware road noise and on site residents leaving for work can be a little intrusive.
