Spent the weekend at this site for the Isle of Wight festival. It was a great site for a number of reasons:
- Friendly and helpful owners
- Clean and tidy site including bathrooms - which were cleaned regularly during peak times and we never had to queue for. Plus always had hot water!
- Great pitch size - we had 1 campervan and 3 tents and they gave us a nice size pitch and there is a decent amount of space between groups.
- Great surrounding area, river and pathways
- 40 min max walk from the festival but a nice and easy walk.
- Very reasonable in terms of cost
We will definitely be returning next year!
If arranged transportation is to be arranged for the festival in future which I know the owners are looking into then this would be ideal!

Lovely site with good clean facilities. Excellent location for IOW festival.
Owners are very friendly and would go out of their way to help. We arrived during the night and they kindly opened the gate before 0700hrs to let us in. We shall definitely return and can recommend it.

I have recently camped at Riverside Paddock had a great weekend. Toilet and showers facilities are on site and are immaculately cleaned several times though out the day there is also toilets/showers with disabled access, other on site facilities are washing up, electricity and drinking water. The River Medina is less than a minutes walk from the campsite and Newport town is within walking distance there is a bike trail/walking path outside the gate so ideal Its called Red Squirrel Trail, pubs and restaurants are in walking distances as well. Husband and wife owned business extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this campsite :)

We stayed at this site which is adults only and dog friendly. The campsite is very nice and the tent field is very flat. We could see horses in the next field. There are plenty of rabbits much to our lurcher’s delight. The owner Sarah-Jane took over this site about a year ago and is a very good host. She keeps the facilities spotlessly clean and is helpful if you need any local info.

Got a bike trail/walking path outside the gate so ideal Its called Red Squirrel Trail. It’s a short walk from Newport town and local pub/restaurants this campsite is in a great location to get about the island. Will be staying for the next bank holiday in August would definitely recommend.

After trawling the internet for a long while looking for a place to pitch up for out first trip to the Isle of Wight, I came across this place.
After the ferry from Southampton it was a brisk 20 minute drive to the campsite.
We were pleasantly greeted by one of the owners, and then left to set up on a scorching day. A while later we were introduced to her husband, who much like her, was very friendly and helpful.
We set up and sat a while relaxing before heading to the local supermarket (Morrisons is about 10 minute drive and Lidl is about 5 minutes drive). The setting is perfect; not overly big (2 fields) but not too small, with the river a lovely walk in one direction, and the pub the other!
The facilities were exceptional. The washing up area always clean and tidy, the shower perfect, and the toilet, well, it did the job!
Phone reception is not an issue there, if like me you still can resist the urge for a bit of Facebook, lol!
All in all I would absolutely come to stay at this place again, and would urge anyone who is camping/ caravanning /motorhoming to stay here when the visit the Isle of Wight.
Close to historic Newport and many local attractions (Osbourne House and Carisbrooke Castle to name a couple), the only decision you need to make is how long to stay?!

Stayed at the site during the Isle of Wight Festival. We were welcomed on arrival by the owners, who were very helpful and friendly. We had a nice spot in the first field. The site is situated right near the River and took the Riverside walk to the festival (about 45 minutes) With the campsite quite full, there seemed to be only two showers, but didn't really cause a problem. There is also washing up facilities as well. Would certainly recommend this site, if travelling to Newport, especially with its Location, etc.

What an absolutely delightful site.
The first time camping on the IOW & decided to base ourselves centrally. Very glad we did. The site is one of the nicest campsites we have ever used.
The fact that it has only been opened a couple of years means that improvements are still under way. The layout of the site is very good & once all the newly planted trees get the chance to grow it will be even better.
Right next to the Newport/Cowes cycle path. 15 minutes to the nearest dog friendly pub, the Bargemans Rest right on the river.
The shower & toilet facilities are very good & clean.
Dog friendly & children free site.
A campsite not to be missed!

We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone wanting this as a base to see the Island. It is within walking distance of Newport Town Centre (via a cycle path - so no cars to avoid!). Takes about 30 mins. There you have all the shops and buses to take you anywhere.
Lovely site. Really important to us are the shower facilities and these were spotless. Never once did we find anything to complain about. On one occasion the shower tray was blocked and this was dealt with immediately.
Excellent internet coverage. The owners were lovely and anything you wanted help with, they were on hand. No phoning up and hoping someone would answer. These people were on site all the time to help you.
Unfortunately it rained most of the time on our two week stay but had the sun been shining the outlook from your caravan was superb. Wide fields one side and newly planted trees the other. And as an adult site, no noisy children either (bonus)!
Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

We stayed here as a base for the IOW Festival and fully enjoyed the stay. The site is spotlessly clean and the owners never seem to stop cleaning and tidying!
Nicely situated and very quiet (once the festival finished!) Good hot showers and free hair-dryer.
No shop on site but not far away is a huge supermarket. EHU spots can get taken up early so I recommend booking.
I will definitely stay here again and the owners are genuine in wanting you to have a good time and are always around to give out advice or sort out any queries.
