This was our second visit to this Huttopia site, the first time we visited in 2009 all of the facilities were new and it was outside of the peak season so quite quiet, relaxing and great to see Versailles and Paris.
Unfortunately it appears that maintenance of the site has not been a priority and many of the facilities are in need of repair. The locks to the toilet doors were broken on many of the cubicles and also many of the electrical hook-ups had tripped, when we asked a member of staff to look at this he was less than happy, declaring that he would have to find a suitable screwdriver! The Playground and Pool were adequate but rather crowded. There is a Boulangerie and City Carrefour nearby which was a good thing as the on site facilities are pricey.
It would also seem that the pitches have been neglected and large channels formed by water run-off a menace to anyone in a tent, probably less of a problem for campers and caravans or perhaps smaller tents.
Overall we were disappointed with the whole experience this time, perhaps we had been spoiled by our previous campsite in the Dordogne. Well located but would only suggest stopping over for a couple of nights outside of peak dates.

Spent a week here with friends end Aug. 3 families -6 adults, 5 children aged 8 and under.
Staff were great and helped keep us all together as 2 of us had tents and 1 had gone for a roulotte.
Bar and pizzeria were fine and reasonably priced. You can order bread, croissants etc. Whilst cheaper in the local patisserie it's nice not to have to walk out of the campsite when you want breakfast
There are BBQs located by some of the pitches which were excellent and well used. People also respected others use.
Pitches were reasonable size even to fit our Dakota 6 and enormous awning. Only downside is as site is in woods loads of tree stumps in the ground so watch out when you pitch. Also very shady pitches
Pool was adequate but freezing cold our daughter came out blue and couldn't last very long in there. Speedos rule not fully observed and there were boys/ teenagers at times that weren't from the site
Showers were cleaned regularly however the one nearest our pitch was closed so we ended queuing at times probably as it was last week August.
Toilets not as good and pot luck if there was paper or not so we had to take some just in case.
Washing facilities were adequate but the washing machine area was a bit grubby.
Versailles town is lovely but quite spread out. Train station about 15 mins walk and excellent for getting to Paris. Also reasonably priced trains compared to London.
Must go to the Palace and try to get there Saturday for fireworks. We didn't and that was a big miss as we saw glimpses from the site. There is a wide variety of bars and restaurants walking distance but don't get a beer outside the Palace though very expensive- foolish tourist mistake. Disney also less than an hour away by car. We got a cheap deal from a supermarket
Overall a nice place to use as a base to explore Paris and surrounding area.

We were very impressed by this campsite. The location is perfect for visiting Paris or Versailles. The campsite is situated between a quiet suburban area and a forest. Easily accessed from the autoroute.
Some pitches were quite awkward to get into due to the trees on site. It was quite dusty underfoot. The pool was clean and warm. The bathrooms immaculate and very state of the art. Restaurant, breakfast and bar very expensive.
We visited Paris by train. 5 mins walk. 4 trains an hour until late. And Disneyland Paris. Easy to access by train. One change. Rental property looked lovely and the ones with woodstoves looked ideal for a spring or autumn Paris visit.
We have stayed at a hotel 15 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower before and for future visits I would consider this campsite as a very good and much cheaper alternative.

We had a four night stay in one of their 'cabanes' (they translate it as 'hut' but it's the grandest hut I've ever been in). The site was perfect for our family, for a short back-packing visit to Paris. It was a five minute walk to the RER station and then a 20 minute ride to the Eiffel Tower. We also bought the Paris Visite tickets, in advance over the internet. When we got bored of being in the city each day it was great to come back to the site. The pool was very cool after a hot day, and not overused in the Whitsun week. There was also a table tennis table, boules, and a badminton set (on the same pitch as the boules, so one or the other). You can order fresh bread and croissants each night for the following morning. The bar/restaurant was fine and the walk from the station passes a grocers, a couple of small supermarkets and a bakers, so it's easy to stock up on good food on your way.
We didn't have to use the shower blocks etc till the last day, as we had facilities in the cabane, but when we did, they were very clean.
The staff were lovely. After we checked out, they let us store our backpacks on site, while we hired their bikes and went up into the woods for the morning.
The boys (aged 7 and 9) think it was one of the best holidays we've ever had, and I'm inclined to agree. We've booked a camping pitch in another Huttopia for the summer as we were so impressed.

Very nice arranged site, not too far away from the Versailles Palace (3 kms).
The staff was very friendly, but. The electricity went out on the only pitch field in use in the night without any known reason, and has not been switched on again in the morning. That's not that good, especially when you consider that this is a very expensive site.
I saw only 3 showers (1 block operating) in the morning, and there were quite busy even at 7.20h. One/my shower was not really warm. But they have been in a clean state.
Overall, a very expensive site, nice pitches under trees, but not levelled. Only one field of some was open, therefore it was very busy till midnight.
Service in the core functions (electricity/showers-temperature) as campsite could improve.
I'd visit only again, if I'd plan so because of traffic jam/opening times of the Versailles Palace.

Ideal site for getting into Paris on the train; 10/15m walk from the station. We bought Paris Visite 3 day travel passes (you'll need zone 4, Porchfontaine) which covered all our transport needs. It is also a 10 min walk to catch the bus to Versailles Palace (3/4 stops). Don't make our mistake of visiting the palace on a Monday; it is closed!
The site is very pleasant being set in woodland. The suburb of Versailles is also pleasant.
The whole site is on a steady slope and therefore mostly terraced, but beware that you will probably have to 'level-up'. The ground is hard; peg-eating.
The staff were very helpful & friendly. Didn't use the bar/restaurant/pool, but it all looked OK.
A small supermarket nearby (5/10mins) stocks most thing you'll need and there is a pleasant open market twice weekly.
We intend to go back and 'finish off' Paris, as the site was a really relaxed atmosphere and great location for city visits.

We stayed at this site for a week. I was a little concerned following not many reviews and those found on other sites were mixed. However the site is an excellent location for visiting Disney, Paris and Versailles. WE didn't want to spend time in the other sites near to Disney as they just seemed to fulfil the criteria of being near Disney and lack character.
The site is an excellent site. We had a hot few days and the shade of the woods were all pitches are situated gave us a lovely cooling atmosphere. Able to sleep in the tent in the morning without the greenhouse effect.
Went out with English holiday so the site was full of French and Dutch. The people on the site were all polite quiet and easy to live with. Some road noise at night but when you consider that you are only 20 minute train journey direct to Eiffel Tower, and 5 minutes drive to Versailles Palace, you can accept some noise. There are large woods behind the site which are great for family cycling. Bikes available for hire at the site but we took our own. Cycling into Versailes easy and off road and great cyling to be had around the palace estate for free.
The showers and toilets are modern clean and well kept with family double size cubiles and private cubicles for sinks. Power point (European) for hairdryers etc. The pitches are varying. Our one was quite a slope but with strategic tent positioning, not to much of a problem. Eating at the table was the main problem due to the slope. The ground is rock hard in places so plenty of rock pegs needed. Ther areas the ground is very soft. Some of the pitches are totally level so bit of a lucky dip.
The staff were very friendly and the small pool enough for my two kids 5 & 7 yrs. Got busy at 5pm when everyone got back from day trips.
Supermarket and market twice weekly are 5 minutes walk, and the restaurant at the site which we used on the first night served great pizzas.
Would definitely go back as the site was really relaxed atmosphere and great location for cycling or city visits. Disney an easy 45 minute drive away. The pre erected tents and caravans looked good and would consider a caravan for a stopover break.
