We have been to this site several times before, and it is just as delightful as the previous reviews say. It is also very useful if you're not in a rush and fancy a change from the route through Rouen.
They seem to have added a lot more mobile homes since our last visit.
The facilities are warm and modern, and separate for men and women. When we were there, there was a large party of young cyclists staying overnight, and they created a few queues in the facilities.
The town is very pretty and well worth a visit, there are a number of useful shops. On the Sunday that we were there it was packed with motorcyclists, seems to be a popular meeting place.
The campsite is ACSI inspected but not in the discount scheme, but as I had shown my ACSI card, I was given a discount. The price was moderate.

Excellent site - big, grassy pitches for tents. Water points on most pitches. Beautiful setting between two hill ranges making it perfect for walking / hiking / cycling and there is plenty of info about recommended routes at the entrance to the campsite.
Quieter site than we'd been on in the holiday - no kids club etc - but plenty to keep kids amused inc. Crazy golf and free access to local swimming pool which is at the front of the site. Big football area and games room with computers etc.
Lyons-la-foret fantastic village - beautiful, with decent amenities and good places for food. No supermarket but there is Carrefour nearby (about 3 miles away.)
Very close to Rouen with direct link to Paris for around 30 pounds per adult (parking in station for a day costs about 5 pounds).

As per the previous review, I was very impressed with this site. Neat grassy pitches surrounded by hedges giving excellent privacy and water points on most pitches, saving you constant trips to the tap to fill up.
The kids were kept entertained with a games room, table tennis facilities, small park, football pitch, stream to play/fish in and the leisure centre next door providing tennis, swimming and mini-golf. (Swimming pool access is free for campers).
Staff very helpful - I didn't have the correct electric adaptor for the campsite sockets and they lent me an adaptor for free.
The nearby town Lyons La Foret is picture-postcard perfect with some very nice restaurants. The site is located in the centre of a large forest with walking and cycling trails, and whilst we didn't get an opportunity to try these out we intend to return again next year as we enjoyed this site so much.

We stayed at this quiet peaceful site for 5 nights in August. The campsite was very well laid out with individually spaced pitches with hedge borders. The site had a mixture of tents, touring caravans, static caravan pitches and chalets. The site was bordered on 2 sides by streams which added to the charm of the place.
The site owners were very helpful and friendly and fresh bread and croissants were available in the small site office/shop each day from 8a.M.
The facilities were very clean and well maintained. There was a small games room with communal TV and fridge. WiFi was available close to the owner’s house.
Right next door to the site is a public swimming pool, and a short walk into the village will bring you to a small selection of restaurants and bars.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider visiting again.
