Stayed here twice this holiday, 1 night each way. Much the same as last year, it was fairly quiet. Not many ducks either.
The MH area at the front belongs to CampingCarpark and has a barrier. It was full on our second visit, but less so on the first.

We stay here most years for a night or two, it's so delightful. It was very quiet again this year, lots of empty pitches.
We were invited to choose our own pitch, so chose our usual pitch near the river so we could look out for the water fowl. And we were rewarded with a family of waterhens and a family of ducks, very entertaining.
An area at the front of the site, adjoining the river, has been transformed into a motorhome aire. It is fenced off from the rest of the pitches, with its own entrance at the front of the reception building, and has hard standing.
The swimming pool nearby seems to have been removed, there's a sports hall now.

A lovely site near a beautiful little town. We have been meaning to come here for a while and glad we did.
The pitches are large and flat and the little streams are pretty. Toilet block was good and very clean.
The only thing missing was a swimming pool - it was very warm while we were there and I did feel the lack of one.
I thought £28. 90 for two people, dog and electric was a bit expensive for the facilities and wondered if this was why it was almost empty.
We would certainly return to this site to enable us to visit the town.

Excellent site, large well maintained pitches with neatly cut hedges. Water and electricity on the pitch. Showers are adjustable push button with plenty of hot water. Some lightly shaded pitches.
Staff are helpful and efficient. Excellent bread comes from the village baker - the campsite, though no longer a municipal supports the local commerce
Our dog enjoyed paddling in the stream on hot days. Unfortunately the municipal swimming pool was out of action. (Has it closed for good?)

We love coming here, it is one of our favourite sites.
There was a new family in reception, they have opened a bar cafe with outdoor tables at the back of reception. And there was some entertainment advertised for the weekend, but we were moving on before then.
It was very quiet when we were there, lots of the static vans have gone, more space for tourers at the moment.
As well as being a site where you can relax by the small river and watch the antics of the waterhens and ducks, it's a pleasant walk or cycle to the pretty town.

This was lovely. We phoned ahead as we were running 10 mins late past closing, and they kindly waited for us.
We’d intended to camp but turned up in a storm, so stayed in a “coco sweet” which was perfect!
Lyons La Forêt is in walking distance, which we went to the next morning, not a lot was open apart from the cafe (Wed 2nd Oct).
It’s a very picturesque place though.

Everything you expect. Friendly and helpful at reception. Toilets and shower are clean and water hot.
We just used this site for a stopover heading south. Would use again

I absolutely loved this campsite from the moment we arrived. The lady in reception could not have been friendlier or more helpful and we were free to choose our own pitch - which always makes me happy.
Lovely shaded well delineated pitches with water available, good quality facility block and a motorhome service point. There are lodges on the site as well as tourers but somehow they mingle together well.
There is a stream running through the site and a couple of large grassed areas for kids to play on. We were there on a French bank holiday weekend and there were lots of family groups enjoying the extended weekend.
Outside the gates is a full size football pitch with nets that is free to be used and a swimming pool and crazy golf. It is a 10 minute walk to the beautiful town centre along the road or 15 minutes through the woods.
Lyons la Foret itself is really lovely with a choice of places to eat and spectacular buildings.
Absolutely love this site and will definitely return.

Lyons la Foret is set in one of the oldest forests in France, beautiful site sat next to a small river. The facilities are in one toilet block, separate sex, two showers per sex. Very clean and well maintained facilities. The pitches are flat with ample space for car, caravan and porch.
Bread has to be ordered the night before and arrives at 8am
The town is beautiful, 15 minute walk into the town, small Casino supermarket, busy market, and a delightful market square.
There are lots of sign posted walks some passing the campsite from 5km upwards. The town walk is a must for all ages.
Monet's garden is not too far away
