This site is one of the nicest we have been to in France. We sneaked a look at the toilet block and the site itself before we went in to book ( bad previous experiences in other sites) The site itself is flat and well laid out, with choice of either riverside plots or a plot nearer the outdoor pool. The site also puts on welcome nights, wine tasting, barbecues etc for anyone who is interested. Just over the river is a pretty little town with an outdoor market and supermarket for essentials.
About a mile or so away, most folks seem to cycle there, is a gorgeous man made lake with a beach which has been thoughtfully laid out with grassy areas for people who aren't so keen to sit on sand.
We had a great time last year and have booked up to go again for a few days this year.

We love this site and usually stay for 3 nights in our motor-home. As we tour France using the Aires de Service it's nice to be able to stay on a site for a few days and just chill.
It's usually staffed by young girls in August whom I've found to be well-trained, knowledgeable and helpful. What I particularly like is the price and the fact that we don't have to book, even in peak months. We paid €15. 33 per night including EHU and the free Wi-Fi in the middle of August 2011. It's a Municipal Site and I find these exceptional value for money and usually well sited within or near a town, as this is.
The two markets are great for stocking up on vegetables, cheese, wine, meat etc and are well used by the locals, which is always a good sign. One is held by the river on a week-day and another, smaller market is held at the end of one of the back streets - on Sundays.
La Fleche itself is quite large but without the many shops and cafes that you would associate with a town of this size.
The Leclerc is within walking distance if you don't want to drive.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way down to Tranche Sur Mer. In order to break up the travelling.
Seemed a quiet site and was very close to the town. A short walk across the river.
We hadn't booked but were shown to a generous pitch size.
Toilets and facilities were clean if not a little old and past it. The swimming pool looked popular.
We were based by the bottom gate and a drunken Brit (ashamedly) tried to gain access over a fence but was dealt with by the Security dogs. This wasn't his site!
Will definitely use this site again.

Site warden is really friendly, speaks a little English and very helpful. His Daughter (I think)does speak enough English for even the monolingual to get by with. Pitches are generous by English standards. The site was never full during our eleven night stay and also fairly quiet. 10:30pm curfew on vehicle movement and car door closing but dedicated parking at the gate if your out later.
Facilities include tennis court, table tennis table, volleyball net, boules area (surprise!) and a small amount of swings etc. Small swimming pool with adjacent kids pool, neither of which were heated, allegedly the heaters are switched on if it's raining! Payphone, washing machine (euro 2.60)a little expense added on to your bill but better than most English site washers, toilet blocks x3, Wi-Fi but intermittent and weak, even with two relay masts but free so hey-ho. A canoe/kayak hire place next door with discount for campers. (2hrs = 10euro for 3 man canoe, 7 euro for 1 man kayak)with half or full day leader/instructor led outings available.
Location is ok due to the river and proximity to the town. It is also easy access from the main road. 'The Lake' half an hour riverside walk (3min car +free parking)away is a natural beach and bouyed off swimming area of the River Loire, no waves though :( Carrefour supermarket a 5 min drive and smaller shops in the town, which is a 10min walk up the alleyway and via the bridge. Two markets a week (Weds and Sun 8 'till 12) are held in the town, one of which is just across the River.
Our 3 kids (15, 13 and 10 yrs old) had a great time as did we because they were off playing and the older ones off around the town together with their new campsite friends.

This site is right in the middle of the town of La Fleche, on the banks of le Loir, just a few minute's walk from the town centre. It is a large, spacious site and the pitches are also large, but where we pitched by the river, the pitches were not very well defined. The toilet blocks are raised (perhaps the river floods?) and are reached by steps which are in need of slight repair; however, once inside they are spacious and clean. I cannot comment on the swimming pool as we were only there for three days and did not have a chance to use it, likewise the tennis courts.
The town, as I said , is only a few minute's walk and is quite a pleasant place to stroll around and perhaps sit outside one of the cafes in the square and watch the world go by (surely one of the best pastimes in France?).
There are some shops, boulangeries etc. In town and also a Leclerc supremarche about 5 mins. Drive from the town centre which,as usual, stocks everything, and also has a 24hr petrol station.
This site has a really pleasant feel to it,however, the only drawback is that there is not much to see and do in the area.
