We stayed at this site for the last week of May in our Motorhome.

The site is very well laid out, the pitches are large and very spacious each with its own water supply and electric hook up. The views from the site are great, you can see the Welsh mountains and even a glimpse of the sea from some of the pitches. The RAF base is very close and the jets offer exciting entertainment in the sky above! It can get noisy though from 8am.

The site is easy to find and access is good. The two toilets are in wooden huts and they are spotlessly clean and well maintained, as is the rest of the site.

We walked on the beach daily, it's a dog walkers dream, very quiet and only 20 minutes walk from the site.

We cycled around Anglesey every day during our stay and found the roads quiet and the terrain quite easy and with some great views along the way. Very enjoyable.

We will definitely be back next year.

This is our second visit to this delightful, friendly CL. Good fully serviced hard-standing pitch. You could hear traffic on the road alongside and railway line a short distance away but it didn't cause us any disturbance. The local hotel is about a 10 minute walk away and much nicer inside than it's plain exterior suggests. Apart from a few hours just after we arrived there was no aircraft activity over the weekend.

The beach area and inlet about 20 minutes walk away are a dog walkers' paradise and beautiful whatever the weather. We cycled the back roads to Trearddur Bay and stopped off a few times for refreshments and to admire the views. The steep gradients indicated on our OS map meant we weren't brave enough to attempt to reach South Stack though!

We walked along the beach to Rhosneigr and back on a wonderful sunny afternoon. For the most direct route you'll need to paddle across a shallow stream of water running to sea as you approach Rhosneigr - the lower the tide the easier the crossing! Alternatively there's a bridge further upstream but it'll add around a mile or so onto the journey.

The owners of the site have added more pitches since we last stayed and the Caravan Club CL is now on the right hand side of the drive as you come in. Be aware that at the time of our visit their website does not show these new pitches which caused us some confusion on arrival.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a weeks holiday at the beautiful Pen Y Llyn Caravan Park.

Prior to arriving at the site I received a phone call from the owner to say they wouldn't be available to welcome us and to explain we had a choice of pitch 2 or 4, unfortunately the pitches we were offered were not the pitch I had specifically booked, due to the location on the site. A change of pitch would not have been a problem, if this had been explained when I booked. The site was not busy, due to the time of year, with a number of pitches available, so I am at a loss to know why our pitch was changed.

On a positive, the pitches are spacious and well laid out - fantastic views of Snowdonia and the surrounding countryside.

All pitches have water, grey waste and electric hook ups.

A toilet is available but no shower block, we had our own facilities, so not a problem for us, though a shower block would be a plus.

All hardstanding pitches, though we did struggle to secure the awning down, even with rock pegs, as difficult to find purchase under the layer of gravel. This became a problem later in the evening when the site was hit by high winds.

As a result, the awning was no more. Certainly a night to remember.

The information pack which we received from the owners was helpful in guiding us around the area.

Site was very well maintained - spotlessly clean.

Free wi-fi a bonus and of a good speed.

As other reviewers have stated, the site is close to RAF Valley Air strip - daily training flights take place, which is noisy, but not to the detriment of our holiday and only takes place during 'office hours'.

All in all a lovely week, albeit a little wet - but to be expected in October. Lol.

This is a delightful campsite. The owners are exceptionally friendly and take great pride in their site. They have undertaken a lot of work to get it right and work is still in progress to make even more improvements.

The south facing, full service pitches are a generous size and all have fantastic views to the sea and to Snowdonia in the distance. There is a large grass area in front of the pitches which ensures every pitch has a clear view. There is a toilet but it is expected that you use your own facilities. 16 amp electric and free wi-fi are included. The wi-fi is a good speed.

Nearby, 10mins walk, is a hotel where you can have a drink or sample their excellent food.

About 1 mile away is RAF Valley which you can see from the site. There is regular flying during the working day which can be a big plus if you enjoy air displays but annoyingly noisy if you do not. However, all is quiet after 'office hours' and the location is superb. There is plenty for the walker and a short cycle ride or longer walk takes you to a beautiful beach - not to be missed. Great stopover en route to Ireland.

What a lovely site with great owners.

We used it for 2 overnight stops going to Kerry and back.

The first stay was Whit Bank Holiday Monday and it was still quite full after the holiday. We had pitch 3 which we liked very much.

Having arrived early we took the dog to the beach and the track to it is as advised rather bumpy and demands care or something on the car breaking. Having said that it is worth it.

In the evening we had a meal at the Cymyran hotel which is on the way to the beach. It lets well behaved dogs into the bar area where you can get a meal which was great.

The next day the aircraft were flying with the helicopter in and out and the jets practising take-off and aborted landings it was quite a sight and sound. We left at 10. 00 to catch our ferry.

We returned on the 5th June and had pitch 5 which is in a great position with loads of space.

This time we opted for the chinese take-away from the village. If you are a fan of chinese food I wouldn't bother using it. When compared with the Slow Boat in Hartford Cheshire and the Hartesholme Park Take Away in Lincoln it is rubbish. Believe me the salt isn't spared.

All that lacks on the site is facilities. The pitch facilities are great with good Wi-Fi but the shed with a loo in it is a downer but I suppose better than nothing but only just hence the 5 out of 10.

Also it should be said we noticed the early morning road noise on pitch 5 that we hadn't noticed on pitch 3.

Would we return? Most definitely and we are not airplane buffs!

Very good site, facilities very clean, internet fantastic, pitches large and well spaced, excellent if you are into aeroplanes and helicopters RAF base nearby, excellent shopping at junction 2 of A55. New fish and chip shop opening 1 mile away, walk to beach, very chilled out week. , would recommend

We found the site a good location for the beaches, Treaddur Bay a favourite. It was little noisy from the airforce base but interesting to view. The facilities were only an electric hookup and water supply with waste drain. Site fee high but enjoyed our visit. The near by facilities are good, such as the hotel, friendly staff and cosy surroundings, a varied menu reasonably priced.

Good access to site. No security gates/barriers.

Well spaced pitches, tight on space to manoeuvre on to pitch (pitch five). Pitch five is next to the road and car noise can be heard, but not a major problem.

Taps on each pitch for fresh water, grey waste into hedgerows.

Sectioned off area for chemical loo. Pot washing sink, bin area and facilities for recycling.

Local weather information posted here by owners.

South facing with views of Snowdonia Mountain range in distance.

Noise from RAF Valley/Anglesey Airport, you do get used to the planes (Hawk Jets), but it is nice and quiet at weekends when the RAF don't fly.

A few rescue helicopters do fly also.

Information/leaflets given on arrival.

Very good internet connection.

Local beach is excellent - very quiet too. Access track to beach is very rough.

Local shops at Valley, bigger shops at Penhros.

Overall enjoyed our stay here and would return.
