My wife and I visited this site on 27th Dec for 6 nights @ £14 per night with EHU.Weather was bad with heavy snow and Ice. Thawed out slowly so by time we left snow had all gone.
What a gem of a site, only a few people on site over the new year.
The fishing lake was frozen with 5 inches of ice on it.
The shower block as mentioned by all other reviews were immaculate with the most powerful showers of all time!
After 4 days the 14lb hammer head & chain came out to break the ice for fishing, an hour and a half later we had a good swim to fish. Next day I had a very good days fishing ending with a fish every cast.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, hope next time we visit the lake will have thawed out.
The local pub 'The Sportsman' was very good value for meals only wish the beer was a bit colder for me.
We will most definitely be back in the next few months, but I think this site would be very busy in the main season due to the fishing.
Ps listen out for the cockerel wishing you all a good morning!

Visited on bank holiday weekend.
Two small tents and a gazebo, three kids and two dogs.
Lovely pitches for tents, surrounded by tiny blossom trees.
Fishing lake well stocked we caught a 15lb mirror carp. £5 a day from dawn til dusk. Tackle, bait etc can be bought on site.
Tesco, macdonalds 2 mins away.
Showers and toilets were the best I've ever seen on a camp site, lovely! Lots of hot water, no cost.
Didn't venture off of site as just there for a short stay.
Nice walk for dogs, little farm down road for smaller kids and visiting chickens on site.
Good prices
No noise. Owners really friendly.
A small but beautiful site, will definitely go back.

As previously mentioned this is a fishermans site, although not being a fisherman still enjoyed it here especially with a pitch overlooking the lake. The site at first appears a touch untidy but this belies a very modern, heated toilet block with superb showers. The site is also on one of the national cycle routes from March to Wisbech,we did the easy cycle route to Wisbech(about 3 Miles) and stopped at The Spotsmans on the way back which is about a mile from the site. Paid £14 for one night with ehu.

Site primarily chosen for very reasonable storage charge but when we arrived to deposit caravan we decided to stay a couple of days. Owners were very helpful and the site well maintained. Toilet block was beautifully clean and showers brilliant. Lake was inviting, we strolled round it one evening and enjoyed watching the fish feeding. We will be returning for husband to get some fishing in. Seemed a friendly site and everyone seemed to be there for the fishing so had a common interest. Supermarkets within a couple of miles so no problems shopping. We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing couple of days and will be happy to book there again.

Been going to little ranch for 3 years and have always found it clean and tidy. The owners (Carol and Michael) are very friendly and helpful and have an excellent knowledge of the local area and history.
The toilet block is always clean and tidy and has the very best free power showers known to mankind.
There are a couple of real ale pubs serving excellent food nearby (within 20 mins walking)
You can pitch your caravan next to the lake if you book early.
The Fishing is excellent with Carp up to 20lb and other specimen quality fish,Tench, roach, Bream The lake is very well maintained.
It had a blip last year with an algae flare but that is well clear and the owners have restocked the fish lost
I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a peaceful stay with fishing.
