A site in two halves. The site seems set up to cater mainly for residential pitches with fewer touring pitches, with the site set around fishing lakes with well maintained landscaping.
On the plus side, very welcoming and helpful in pitching.
Overall, we found it to be quiet and restful (we did not fish).
However, the one serious detraction was the state of the shower/toilet block, which during our stay was never cleaned, with dirty sinks and toilets, non working hand dryer, and shower and toilet doors that could not be secured.
This might not matter for residential occupiers, but it would put off tourers.

Pretty site with 2 fishing lakes,
Toilet/showers clean but no heating turned on so too chilly in there to have a shower,
Nothing on site except fishing. No amenities, shops or bus stops close by, so you need to drive which is fine if you have a car, but not ideal if you have a large motorhome like us.
I also was not told before we arrived that they only accept cash on arrival no cards! so we had to drive down to a cashpoint in Wisbech before we could even check in.

Quiet site, though the A47 does provide background traffic noise. Great range of facilities, on site washing for clothes, dishes and people too in the well provisioned central block. Electric hook up is no problem to the extent that if you forgot your lead, they will lend you a lead!
The disabled toilet and shower is a welcome discovery on a smaller site and is very well laid out too. The hot water system is a tad over enthusiastic so it is best to keep an eye on smaller members of the party.
In the washing up room (3 sinks, one with easy use taps for elderly or disabled clients) is a washing machine and tumble drier. These are not over expensive to use and work well.
The beauty in this site is the quiet nature. Lay in your bed at night and listen to the owls calling, watch the ducks on the lake or explore the old orchard.
The fishing is excellent. Had a double figure carp on gear I purchased on site from the warden (fishing tackle usually available for purchase).
The owners are very friendly and helpful. Nothing seems too much trouble. All they ask is guests help keep the facilities like toilets, showers and sinks clean, so that other campers find them pleasant to use too.

We note no recent reviews but have been here before. Looking more tired and grubby than last visit with reduced elec ampage allowance. Toilet block and showers older and in need of a good clear of cobwebs limescaled shower heads reducing pressure and general TLC
Prices have gone up for pitch and kids but facilities declined. Nothing for kids either except dangerous unfenced lakes. Owners don’t seem to like kids anyway so not really a family site. Permanent residents seem snobby with their own social area that a man asking about it was told ‘its private’
May be good for adults with own van facilities rather than site toilets and showers (I always judge a site by shower block) and a shortish stay.
Easy to catch tiny fish as lakes overcrowded but tiny fish become a nuisance when properly trying to fish. Owner cheerful but the place seems now to be about money making rather than service.

Had a very nice long stay here in caravan. Access is easy turn from good road and is barrier controlled by code. Check-in was welcoming and we were walked to pitch, they can pitch for you if needed. Services were all on pitch and power, grey waste, water and TV aerial worked fine. Virtually all the pitches are straight drive on as there is enough room to drive out of the front end of the pitches, vans are all pitched front end-in as they all overlook the lakes, nice touch.
Spacing is generous and pitches are wide enough to have van on one side with awning and parking behind for car. Site is spacious with about 40 all serviced pitches, separate camping field, and some seasonals. Loads of opportunity for walking on-site with the dog, tracks around the lakes and the fields and orchards.
The site is a former fruit farm and the pitches have fruit trees on them with an abundance of produce everywhere in season. The not so good areas, it just needs a bit of tidying to bring it into line with the best sites, the washrooms were Ok but are tired and really need a makeover and better cleaning.
The bin area could do with a rethink and the information shed could do with replacing or moving to reception. The site also operates as a fishery and both lakes are very well stocked and have some carp into the 30s but also a good mix of general coarse fish as well.
To sum up, it is really chilled-out place, seasonals were friendly, fishing is superb, quiet, plenty of open space but needs to be updated in some areas. This the cheapest full serviced pitch we have ever stayed on and value is excellent for what you get.

This was out 1st trip ever in our ' new ' ( to us ) caravan. Because this site is near to us we decided to give it a try. The road leading to the site is quite narrow for us novices, but once there we were directed to a plot. Right opp. A Lake.
Toilet block was near by, not too far to walk. It was ok but both my husband and me thought the blocks were to cold, even though it states heated on website. Fishing was very good but hubby said anyone with a bit of stick and rope would catch loads it was that rammed with fish, too many he said.
Nothing at all to do for the kids, so not sure why it's a family site, dangerous for small ones as lakes are not fenced off. Lots of resident vans there, but people ok. Main electric pylons over head, constant buzzing.
Would we go back. Don't think so. That's a big fat no. There must be better sites around, so we will look.

Yet another wonderful stay at this cracking site. This time we managed to stay for Christmas and New Year. The other caravanners, ( mainly seasonal ) are very friendly, but not in your face all the time. The very strong winds didn't put a dampner on out time here.
Facilities are very good, . Thank you to Michael for helping us get our car started, nothing seems to much for them all. The usual visit to Wisbech town was on our list, as we found a really nice butchers next to the brilliant tackle shop in the market square.
We went to Chatteris ( about 30 mins away ) and what a lovely market town / village. The main street was decorated all along and each independent shop ( and there is a nice mixture and amount ) all seemed to partake in the festivities.
Can't wait to go back soon.

Just back after a week here, arrived on a Friday afternoon shown straight to our pitch by the warden. Went to pay he said he would come back (he did the next day) very relaxed atmosthere. Barrier control to get into site, facilities clean and the showers are great.
Had a 15lb carp on the first day of fishing plus a lot of fish around the 2-3 lb mark. Fishing in both lakes very good. Main super market and shops 5-10 mins from site.
The seasonal pitch campers very welcoming. Will return. Nothing on site for children only fishing.

Arrived 1pm on Friday and was welcomed by reception who advised us to park anywhere we wished for our two night stay. We drove to an area by a small lake and chose one of the vacant pitches.
The warden came straight over and 'challenged' us about our choice demanding to know who instructed us to park there. We told him that the lady in reception had and offered to move if there was a problem.
Not a very nice welcome after a long drive. We felt very uncomfortable so moved along a few more pitches. The site is located very near to a major road and so traffic noise is evident at night time but not badly so.
However the worst thing is the fact there is no mobile signal or wi-fi on site or along the road so every time we needed access to Internet it meant a two mile trip to Tesco. Facilities on site were clean and tidy and access to the site from the main road was easy for our 15ft unit.
