Well what can I say, a real gem of a place,
After having a rough few months the owner even helped put the tent up, nothing was too much trouble,
Will definitely be returning

Great place to stay. The owner Pete is very attentive and always with a smile. Love his ethos for anything goes including no specific arrive/leave times as long as you recycle correctly which isn’t hard!
Shower/toilets kept very clean. It’s the small things that make a difference - toilet rolls provided, wood for fires available and use of fridge/freezer including ice blocks.
Shall definitely be returning. Thank you Pete 🤗

I absolutely loved this site and was so pleased to have stumbled across it. Lovely and quiet with beautiful views over the peninsula.
Pete the owner was very welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Lovely beaches locally and great walks too.
Shower block & toilets were spotless.
Can’t wait to return soon.

Honestly didn’t really know what to expect with no website but seen it was really close to the beach in New Quay and that’s where we wanted to spend our most of our time.
We arrived and others were waiting but someone came down within minutes and we could choose where we wanted to pitch the tent.
It’s a family run site and they were all very friendly and helpful.
The toilets & shower block was constantly getting cleaned and the lady was lovely too.
We had a lovely stay even though we were on a slight hill the kids had loads of room to run around, the weather was fab, at £25 a night you can’t go wrong so we will come back.

This is one of those sites you don't want to review as you want to keep it to yourself! This site is a real gem for those that don't mind basic facilities and are looking for peace and quiet.
There are 2 small fields, the smaller one is closest to the farmhouse and has the bigger sea view but is further from the washing up and toilet area.
This is a working farm with sheep in the adjacent field and farm machines going up and down the drive in the daytime - much to the entertainment of our boys.
The site owners were extremely friendly and helpful whilst still leaving us to our own devices. They showed us where we could freeze our coolpacks in their freezer in one of the store rooms and they charged our phones for us in their house. Seeing we were camping with small children they even offered to wash clothes for us if we were having difficulties (my youngest was potty training at the time).
There is no play area but plenty of open space to play and explore and one or two picnic tables for campers to use.
There are 2 showers and one toilet for the site and in August we did have to wait a bit in the mornings but this was not really a problem. The washing up area is inside the same small wooden building and all was kept very clean. The showers are free.
It is only a short walk to the coastal path but to get to Newquay we drove as the lanes are narrow and it would be all up hill on the way back!
The only negatives are that there is no power in the toilets / washing up area so at night you need to take torches / lanterns with you. The other slight issue is that the plumbing comes from their own well / stream so if the showers are running and someone flushes the toilet the water stops for a while - but there are posters informing you of this. Also the water was sometimes cold.
Overall the site was very good value at £10 a night for up to 4 people (not including EHU) and we will definitely be back.
