Back for a second time and found it just as good as the first time 2 years ago. Jimmy Adams very helpful and friendly and facilities first class. Shower and toilets always very clean and well maintained. Open fields with a delightful nature walk around the fields and pond. Grass kept at a good length. Local pub excellent and near to both Bradford upon Avon and Bath if you want to visit either. Highly recommend this site - with electricity hook up and only £15 per night.

Needed to visit sick relative in Bath and had difficulty finding a accommodation, so decided to take the caravan. What a super site!
What could have been a depressing 4 days to and from hospital, were turned into a very pleasant camping experience. The owner was great and said to call him any time over night during the recent storm (28th). Although a tree came down very near to us, it blocked the road and was not on the site. The owner and his brother cleared it quickly next morning despite it not being their responsibility.
Fabulous facilities at very reasonable cost.

Absolutely fantastic stay on the campsite - we stayed in a tent and had a separate field, past the caravans with their electrical hook-ups. We spent a couple of quiet nights and enjoyed walking along the footpaths near the site.
Facilities were very good: clean loos and a hot shower, costing 20p for about 3 minutes on a timer or £1 for 15 minutes. It was housed in a wooden building with electric heaters - that'll come in handy for the colder days ahead!
Our stay was in October so it was quiet and uncrowded so cannot say what it'll be like in the peak camping months of July and August. All in all I'd would surely recommend this site - please go and enjoy it!

The main pitches have electric hook up & are level, separated by a low wooden fence. There is 1 coin operated shower & 2 toilets. The site also has a circular nature walk which meanders through an unspoiled conservation area. The owner lives in a log cabin on site. Be sure to follow the Lower Wraxall sign rather than South Wraxall.
This site is convenient for visiting the historic city of Bath also picturesque Bradford-on-Avon.

Spent an enjoyable 3 nights here end of May/Early June. Lovely flat, well draining pitches (especially as it had been pouring down just before we arrived). The EHU pitches well marked out, all overlooking the open fields. A nice nature walk thoughtfully cut out around the perimeter of the site. Small shower cabin with 2 toilets and a coin operated shower, enough for the amount of pitches, never had to wait. Make sure your Sat Nav is up to date if you want to find the site by postcode as ours sent us elsewhere, but a quick call to the owner got us on the right track.
Couple of recommended pubs around for food, but didn't manage to get a table at the Monkton Farleigh one, and the food at the Longs Arms in the village was a little 'gastro' for smaller children. This was the only issue with the location, we had to drive 20 minutes for a family friendly pub, with a children's menu etc. This of course is not any reflection on the site, only our choice of location.
Had great days out to Longleat and Bath, with an enjoyable walk along the canal in Bradford on Avon.
If you want a quiet site, with loads of open space with practical facilities and playgrounds, then this is ideal.

This was our first time camping for years so testing the waters as it were. Found the place on this website and liked the reviews so booked up. Didn't want anywhere commercial and full of children as ours are grown up now and we like a bit of peace.
Loved the place. Jimmy, the owner, was very helpful on the phone and very friendly when we met him. Very small site (5 pitches)with 2 toilets/ one shower/bathroom sink and a washing up sink in a wooden sauna type of cabin.
Other people have said they thought the facilities limited but there are only 5 pitches and I never had to queue for the shower/toilet facilities. Also the toilets were spotless which I appreciated vastly!
This is literally a farm field with a mown area around which you can walk and take your dog to stretch his legs. Very peaceful out of the way spot within walking distance of a wonderful pub (The Longs Arms) where we had a fantastic meal, recommended by Jimmy. You can also eat/drink at the South Wraxall club as you are given honorary membership whilst staying at Orchard Farm.
We didn't have time but did find time to eat at the Kings Arms pub which again was fantastic. Absolutely gorgeous place with lovely garden. Food pricey but well worth it. Jimmy also recommended this pub along with the club.
A short drive to Bradford on Avon which is just beautiful and many wonderful walks were had along the Kennet and Avon Canal and also the River Avon. Many lovely places to eat and drink along the way. I recommend the Boatman's breakfast at the Lock Inn cafe and the beer at the Cross Guns at Avoncliff if you visit the area.
As you will gather we loved the site. Very peaceful and pretty good value at £15 per night including electric. A very good base for touring a lovely area. We loved it but not sure if families with young children would as no facilities. Don't change a thing though as I like it that way!

Arrived just after a very heavy storm, ground was water logged but drained quickly. Large field well mown and plenty of space. No sign of owner for couple of days but managed to pitch ok.
Site is very quiet, lots of wildlife and very pleasant walk around the nature trail, with good views across the valley. Children had plenty of space to play and explore.
Facilities are basic but clean, fine for a couple of nights. We paid £11 a night for tent, 2 adults and 3 children.
Surrounding area is very picturesque shops in Bradford on Avon and small post office / shop in Monkton Farleigh.

Stayed at this campsite for 3 nights at the back end of the half term week, which included some incredibly heavy downpours and strong winds. Despite this we had a very restful stay.
This small campsite was very peaceful, with the sheltering tree line much appreciated. The road was very quiet and we saw more walkers and cyclists that cars which allowed a good nights sleep.
Children loved the walk around the field, especially the pond (with nesting moorhen).
Toilets were small, but we rarely had to wait since the are only a few pitches. Dogs didn't need to be on leads, but owners all cleaned up after them.
Location (close to Bath, and a good base for wider exploration - we went to Stonehenge on a particularly wet day) and value (we paid £15 for a EHU) means we are looking forward to returning. Hopefully the weather will be better and we will get the chance to walk to some of the local pubs.
I would caution visitors coming approaching from the Bath direction to access the site via Kingsdown and South Wraxall, as we got caught out coming through Bathford. The step incline on the road to the site from that village proved to be too great for us and required a tricky manoeuvre on a small road.

Great peaceful CCC certified site with small but clean and homely toilet/shower facility in a log cabin (2 toilets 1 shower). 8 EHU on a very flat field sheltered by a tall hedgerow at the rear and great open views from the front. We stayed over the Jubilee weekend and although owner said it was busy we thought it was still remarkably peaceful. There is a great wildlife walk along a thoughtfully cut path around the perimeter of the owners land and while I walked around one evening I even saw a Deer.
There are an array of activities in the proximity of the site starting with the fabulous Bradford on Avon with its stone buildings, shops including a central quality Budgens open 7:00- 11:00, pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways and great walks/rides along the Avon tow path. Bath, Bristol, Longleat, Wookey Hole, fleet Air Arm are just a few of the others we enjoyed during our stay.
There are also a couple of pubs and a village club within easy walking distance of the site, unfortunately on this occasion we did not try them. And in the distance and just a couple of miles away by road is Cumberwell golf club if you fancy escaping the kids for few holes of golf on its 36 hole set up (4x9 hole courses)
Overall fantastic site to base yourself for the area or even a fantastic site to relax and sit around and maybe just do nothing except watch the wildlife in between strolling to and from the pub.
Would I recommend? Absolutely.

We stayed at Orchard farm for 1 night in September, having previously stayed there earlier on in the year for 2 nights. We found the site perfect for a stopover on our little tours of the SW.
The toilet and shower facilities are small but very clean and tidy with lots of hot water. Its a small site with few hook ups, but we were able to get hookup on both occasions.
Just one point - we like to be independent and tend not to book sites (as we have found that this ties us down too much when the weather changes! This is Britain after all!).
The first time we stayed, we did so for 2 nights in order to explore Bath. This time we turned up to be told that it is a minimum of 2 nights stay - although the chap who owned the site was very kind to allow us just the one night.
Its not the most exciting site in the world but it is quiet, clean and tidy and is within good proximity of some pretty interesting areas!
Cheers again and we will be back!
