I spent four nights here with my four-year-old son and really loved it. I will definitely be going back. The site's small size and layout meant he could run off and play with the other children without me worrying about him going too far or having any issues with traffic on the site.
For a single parent, who normally has to take a reluctant child everywhere with me on a site (the loo, washing up etc) it was great. As another reviewer has said, there was no playground, but my son loved climbing one particular tree and playing in an overgrown area that looked like an old walled garden.
There are three shelters to choose from where you can set up to do your cooking if it's raining. Such a simple facility that made a big difference. We also liked buying eggs from the chickens on site.
The facilities are basic, two showers and two loos on the edge of old farm buildings, not in a washblock-type facility. I still gave them a high rating because it's all I wanted and they were clean and in good working order, but there are no laundry facilities. My main gripe would be having to wait to use the one washing-up sink.
The location is brilliant. A short walk to Llanfairfechan's rocky beach and a Co-op store. And really central for getting to Anglesey, Conwy and Llandudno or into the mountains. Being close to the A55 means some road noise, but I only became conscious of this a couple of times.
Do make sure you book ahead because the site is small. We only got a pitch because someone had cancelled the previous day.

Just enjoyed four days at the Platts Farm Campsite, really nice layout,
The facilities (Toilet, Showers, Wash Basin etc. ) were basic but clean and in good working order, there was a couple of covered areas in case of bad weather and parking close to the plots, all the plots had electrical hook ups, the only down side was nothing for the children, so be sure to pack some games.
We received a lovely warm welcome, and the intimate size of the campsite (individual plots were of a good size) made it friendly and enjoyable.
The local area was nice, shops a Spar and a small Co-op just up the road, the Village Inn (no really that's what it was called) looked warm and friendly and the beach was less than half a mile walk down the road, it's easy to get to and accessible to the A55 which links you to plenty of local attractions, Llandudno, Conwy - nice castle, Bangor, Caernarfon - another nice castle and onto Anglesey, where you can take a boat ride to Puffin Island (which you can see across the bay from Llanfairfechan),
All in all very good site, and a most enjoyable holiday :)

Arrived late afternoon. Reception only open 1pm - 3pm, 6pm - 7pm. But notice on door directing me to pitch which was well marked.
Pitches are flat, well spaced, and good ground so no rock pegs needed.
There are covered areas for cooking / eating if it rains, a hot water washing up sink, 2 x showers and 2 x toilets. The site only has 11 pitches which is enough I think for this site and facilities.
We hired a fire basket for £7 which came with matches, kindling, firestarters and a bag of logs. The logs don't last long so look at having 2 x bags an evening. Extra bags for £4 each.
The Village Inn pub just minutes away walking we found was best for pub grub. We also sampled the indian take-away which was good.
The only thing I would of liked to have seen at the site, which some others have, is a fridge/freezer for use of campers. Hopefully as the site develops it may be added.

We used Platts as a trial run for my partner to see how she'd cope with camping.
It was the first time for the kids to, everyone loved it. The site has two small fields but both only accommodate around 10/11 tents so there is still loads of space for them to play. There are chickens that the kids are allowed to go and feed and stroke.
There are two unisex toilets that are kept clean and two unisex shower cubicles that again are well maintained.
The owners are both very helpful and welcoming. They allow camp fires an for ££7 will provide you with a Firer pit, wood bag, kindling, fire starters and matches. Fresh wood bags are just £4 after that.
Each pitch has the possibility of an electrical hook up and there is also large covered areas should the weather turn.
The only recommendation I would make is a freezer for ice packs as there is no facility to keep chilled goods cold.

We needed a site that would cater for 30ish persons for a sports and social club annual camping break. Just finding one was difficult enough, as most had concerns regarding noise and behaviour etc. We found this site and thought we would enquire as it seemed to ‘tick all the boxes’ for what we needed.
The ladies of the group opting for the bunkhouse, and the men to camp in the fields. We hired the whole place for the 2 nights mid July. It by far exceeded every expectation we wished, firepits for hire, cooker-in-the-box, roaster we used for a pig, hot free showers. The guy even prepared our pig for us whilst we went boat fishing on the Saturday.
I am usually a family camper who has been to a lot of sites and in all honesty none compare to this place. I truly cannot speak highly enough of the couple who run it Sam and Alan. No task to big and help was at hand for any situation.
If anyone was looking at doing something similar then this is the place to choose. Every person who went, commented on how good the site was. It was the reason we all had a great time. Thanks so much. We will definitely be returning again. A hidden gem!

Probably the nicest and friendliest campsite we have ever stayed at, and we've stayed in a lot around the world.
We spent the jubilee weekend here, celebrating my wife's birthday with a group of friends - its our second visit and can not recommend the site enough.
Situated in an old dairy farm which is being lovingly restored, the site has two main fields each with their own large barn which provide perfect shelter if the weather turns.
With the added bonus of fire baskets this site provides everything you need to make a sometimes weather dependant camping weekend very enjoyable.
The fields are perfect for group get-togethers especially with the barns for shelter and it is possible to hire the field or the campsite as a whole.
Pitches are flat and very spacious, with one field having electric hook ups so far, the facilities are good - two toilets - two free hot showers and outside washing facilities undercover.
We hired the cooker in a box for the weekend - which was basically a massive 5 hob cooking and prep workstation with every pot and pan you'll need - which saved 6 families lugging stoves and pots. Chickens on site provide eggs for sale and the Indian take-away on the high street - (although slightly overwhelmed by a very large order) produced 20 tasty and hot main dishes.
The family who run the site couldn't be more friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed for our stay and would like to thank them again for making our weekend stay very enjoyable. Even the non-campers in our group commented on how all camping should be like this - especially if they could have beds and a en-suite!
A site with massive potential and owners with amazing (if not daunting) plans for the future - don't be put of with reviews talking about work in-progress and expecting a building site or ruins. We have already seen a huge change between our two visits in 2011 and 2012.
This has everything and more you need now and one we will be revisiting again and again.

Fear not the capricious British weather. This cosy site in a walled garden has a bit of a micro climate. The added value is the covered picnic areas where you can shift all your cooking, chairs, bbq if it rains.
Flat, spacious pitches and room for a game of rounders. There is an lovely old walled kitchen garden behind the site with a helpful path mowed through for (dog) walks.
Proper cubicle showers, and hot, (no push button, yeah) proved useful for hosing down the kids without getting soaked.
Local shops, cafes, chippy and beach a few mins walk.
Lovely helpful owners, this is a gem of a site.

A lovely quaint little campsite hidden in an ideal location to explore North Wales. I had emailed them as part of my Charity bike ride around Wales and up and down Snowdon; Not only did they save me a pitch, they let me stay for free as it was for a good cause. I knew then that I had picked the right site, as that is a lovely gesture; I was running late and when I rang I got no answer but I got a call straight back within 2mins;
They waited for me to arrive and by the time I got there it was 8. 35pm! A cheery smile and shown straight to my pitch; I was given excellent directions for the local shops (of which there are 2). I was on the non-EHU area near the Bar-b-Q area; There was a party of about 6 guys using the area for a celebration but their noise was minimum and the set up in that open barn area is brilliant for gatherings like that.
The toilets/showers clean and well maintained; Recycling bins for all waste was great to see and they were clean and not overflowing (as happens at some sites). Lovely benched area on EHU area where I had my cereal in the morning and washing up sink right next to it (which leaves you no excuse not to do the dishes!)
It is a compact site but in a good way, where everyone gets to meet each other but not too close that if you want your own space then you have it. It's very rustic (I love that) in a good way.
Can't wait to visit again but next time I won't be on a charity mission and stay for a few days.

spent a great weekend here, really friendly owner whom I must thank for borrowing me a gas regulator after I brought a 21mm instead of 27mm for my gas bottle. Great location with a pub 75m away that does adequate food and drink. Out of the main entrance turn left. A bit further away about 5 mins is another pub, to get there turn right at the lights and up the hill. There is a spar and coop off license on this rood open till 11pm. If you carry on walking up the hill the best pub is just at the top.
Within 5 mins is a nice beach and coastal path that is flat and good for walking with great views. 10 min drive away are the falls at Aber, well worth a visit
The toilets and showers were very clean and lots of hot water, with the covered areas and large field it is a great place to relax.

The site is very peaceful, yet within easy reach of shops/bus/train/beach, so is ideal if you're not a seasoned camper & don't want to cook every night or have nowhere to keep supplies! Equally if you want to ditch your car, you can.
The fire basket was super - great for toasting marshmallows & boiling the kettle!
Lovely clean loos & nice hot showers. Plenty of hot water for pot washing too! The site was almost full (only 11 pitches) but we never had to queue up!
The walled garden was very intriguing and we would have loved to explore.
All in all a very charming campsite & definitely one to return to.
