This campsite is in a lovely setting only 10 mins walk to the beach - (when returning at dusk, keep a look out for badgers in the wood!) Ideally situated for days out, Flamingo Land, Eden Camp, Whitby, Scarborough etc or great for just lazing around camp. The children loved it, there is an adventure playground and plenty of space to play. The shop and pub are a short walk away. At non busy times you can pay £2 to stay until 6pm so you can make the most of your last day. I will definitely be visiting again.

Originally we were only going to spend a couple of days here, but were so impressed we decided to stay the rest of the week. The Saturday was busy as people arrived and departed but there was no scramble for a pitch. It looked like there were two main fields, one mainly consisting of family tents, the other for more tents and caravans. They also do static caravans that looked really nice from the outside. The bathroom facilities looked pretty new and were cleaned regularly, with free hot showers (X3) and free sinks for washing up are provided. There is also a laundry where for a couple of quid you can get a full load of washing on.
We were very impressed with Middlewood and would certainly visit again. It is clean, in great surroundings and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely campsite. Ideally located for visiting Whitby. The beach at Robin Hoods Bay is only 10 minute walk through fields and the nearest pub (Fylindales Inn) only a 5 min walk. The price was £9.50 for a 2 man tent. The facilities were spotless.

Visited this site for the weekend. Cost £9 a night for a standard tent pitch only small on a working farm but very quite, play area for the children. Amenities were extremely nice and were heated. Only a 10min walk to the beach from the camp Local pub Fylingdales a 5min walk from the camp which served meals and allowed children in and also the victoria hotel a 20 min walk from the site that also serves food allows children in.Shop close by. Tents and motor homes ok but I would not advise caravans due to sharp steep bends on the narrow roads leading into robin hoods bay defently worth a visit good for travelling out from to whitby or scarbrough and north yorkshire moors. I would go back there again
