This site is located minutes from the A50 Derby-Stoke road down a country lane so is easily accessible. It is a small site which makes it cosy and the owners are very friendly and welcoming.
Facilities are simple and immaculately kept, there is one shower, a toilet block and a wash room for pots, grass is closely mown and the site is extremely clean and tidy.
Traffic on the lane is very light and almost none existaent after 8pm. Foston is a typical south Derbyshire village in an area mostly overlooked by people who make for the more obvious touristy places in the peak district.
It is however an ideal location to use as a base being close to Derby, Lichfield, Burton and the southern peak district around Ashbourne. Alton towers is only 20 mimutes away. Uttoxeter and Tutbury are also small towns worthy of a visit.
There is good walking and lots of quiet country lanes around to cycle on. I would highly recommend this site as either an overnight stopover or for longer stays if exploring this part of the country.

Just got home from a lovely weekend here.
The owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Facilities are small but are spotless and well looked after.
We took the bus into Tutbury as the stop is a 5 minute walk away, found some great pubs serving some good real ale. Although you are in Pedigree country so expect even the chip shop to sell it!
As we were staying in the area next week I asked if I could leave the van there. No problem at all and at only a fiver for the week fantastic value.
At only £10 a night with EHU the site is good value as well and very spacious.
We will be back as it is very situated and only 2 minutes of the main A50. Really good to find a site that isn't out to rip people off, just good value and well done.

Lovely Campsite. The owners, Margaret and Brian, are very welcoming.
For the price of an overnight stay (£10) the facilities available were very good. Everything was spotlessly clean. 20p for a shower for 6 mins which was more than enough. Always hot water available to wash your pots.
Highly recommend this site for a quiet relaxing break for adults and great if you have dogs. Shops and Pubs are not within walking distance.
Without a doubt we will be visiting this site again. We and the dogs loved it!
