What a find! this is a superb site in every way. The location is great, nice walk into the village, with pubs, café and shop. The site is well laid out and the attention to detail is top class! The toilet block is the best I have ever seen on a campsite and Linda the owner appears to be constantly cleaning the floor wiping round etc. Lots of little extras too which is a nice touch. Linda is very friendly and is always around the site, whether it is chatting, giving help or emptying bins etc. There is a lovely little handy information centre on site in the form of a wooden shed, which has a public telephone ( coin) operated, leaflets galore and dvds for you to borrow in case nothing is on TV. Also a covered double stainless steel sink for the dishes and the usual recycling points. Recently we have converted to privately run sites rather the C&Camping club as they appear to offer good value for money whilst giving that bit extra too. Well done and of course Hubby! We have already booked 2 future weekends.

Went to this site with my husband and 2 grandsons for the weekend. We were met by the owner and shown to our pitch. It was a hard standing pitch made up of road crumb so a bit lumpy but as it was only for the weekend didn't use our groundsheet. Met the owner's wife later in the day and what a very lady she is. She will spend time talking to you and is always cleaning the toilets and showers and very nice they are too! Would go back to this site again

On arrival we were greeted by Tim and shown to our pitch. Both Tim and Linda very friendly and helpful. Pitch was spotless and hardstanding. We usually put up an awning but with only going for 2 nights didn't bother with one. Pat sidearked car just across the side from pitch which was nice as not having to look out the window and see it when you have lovely rolling hills to look at. Opposite use there was a couple who we knew as we hadn't travelled to far from home. The site, amenities and toilet/shower block was immaculate. Even shower gel and shampoo's supplied in the toilet/shower block for your use. Another nice touch was that at points around the site there are dog poo bags for people to use. Hand gels at the waste water outlets. Little touches makes big impression. The site very quite which is what we wanted and with it being a small site we certainly had peace and quite. We had a walk into Chipping village which is a few minutes walk away and there are 2 pubs (The Tillotson and The Sun) we had a walk after tea to The Tillotson and had a drink in the beer garden as a glorious night. Dog exercise area for the dog to run around and tire herself out. There is also a small pond on the site and there was 2 lots of baby ducklings wondering around which was lovely to watch. The weather was fantastic so got to sit out and could see the gliders going around. Will definitely be returning to this excellent site. Another bonus is they don't charge you for dogs or awnings. There is also a small store in the centre of the village.

Just spent two nights at this small but perfectly formed site. Excellent value for money.

We arrived in heavy showers, only our 2nd outing with our new purchase of a trailer tent with a tricky awning, Thankfully Linda the owner came to help and we were sat relaxing in no time.

The wash rooms are excellent the best we have ever experienced.

The site is just a short stroll to the local pub, who welcomed both our young boys and dog.

The only down side was no one for the boys to play with on site but the village park is just across the road.

We spent the day at the Wild boar park which was fantastic for the kids.

I would highly recommend this site.

This is a great site, which I wholeheartedly recommend.

The Shower block is, by far and away the cleanest and most well kept I have ever seen. You could eat your dinner off the floor - I kid you not.

The owners are genuinely friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them. One early evening, the female owner called to ask if the people next door where disturbing us as they had music on loud. We hadn't even noticed it, but they seem to want to make sure everyone can relax which is great - just what you want.

On site, there is a small wooden cabin which has books, magazines and local information to help you relax and find out where to visit in the local area.

The plots are generous and the view is good.

The local village has some traditional pubs serving food and cask ales. What more could you want!

Unreservedly recommended.

Just returned after 3 nights. Site was full but with the generous pitches you do not feel overcrowded. The toilet block is immaculate at any time of the day with free toiletries on hand. The owners have a warm welcome for everyone and as I am no good at reversing our unit Tim chauffeured it expertly onto its pitch for me. Chipping village centre is less than 5 mins walk away where you will find two pubs both serving good pub grub, butchers, cafe and a village shop for groceries and newspapers. Easy access to trough of bowland with pretty villages and nice walks. Will be back soon as we think site is better than club sites we have stayed on and a fraction of the cost (notice on board says they apologise for an increase!)

This is a lovely site. It has excellent views which are breath taking. The owners are friendly and help full and will go out of their way to help.

The toilet block is immaculate and is kept exceptionally clean with shower gels and shampoo's supplied. The down side however is that you struggle to use the facilities as the owner is always in there cleaning! one day I tried 4 times to use the toilet block, but they where being cleaned again! don't get me wrong I like a lovely clean toilet block, but it really is a bit excessive. The owner was in there at midnight on one occasion!

There is building work going on at the moment which is a bit unsightly but I suppose needs must.

Be mindful at night time if you are sat socialising in your awning as the owner came round and told us to Shhhhhh in a rather abrupt manner, which was 10pm! We were not playing music, but just chatting amongst ourselves! so bedtime it was then!.

Their is a lovely village within a short walk and the pubs their are excellent! both except dogs and food is really lovely, especially the Tillotsons! really recommend.

Site fee's go up every year here (as told by another caravanner who is a regular)It is £16 per night which includes awning and dogs so not to bad.

There is no Wifi, which I think in this day and age there should be, and if you have 3g on your phone you will still struggle to connect to the internet.

There is nowhere on site for children to play and they do tend to run around all the caravans and invade your pitch space, which is really annoying when you don't have children.

I would come here again and hopefully will be able to access the toilet block more easily!.

We stayed for 7 nights from 17 - 24 March 2013. Unlike many other sites, the pitch fee includes awnings and dogs. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful and keep the site, including toilet block, in pristine condition. They even supply toiletries, (which unfortunately some ungrateful people in the past have stolen), doggy poo bags at locations around the site and even hand sanitisers are available at the grey waste, elsan disposal and dog poo disposal sites. What a nice touch!

The pitches are quite large, on hardstandings surrounded by grass which, due to the adverse weather, was a bit muddy in places.

The immaculate toilet blocks are heated and even during the high bitter winds, rain and snow experienced during our visit, were warm, spotlessly clean with a good supply of hot water. The water in the showers is provided by pushing a button and the only very minor criticism would be that there could be a longer period of showering provided per button push!

A shed near to the toilet block has local tourist information leaflets, walking routes, books & DVDs to borrow. We found TV reception to be first class although mobile phone reception both on the site and in the village, isn't too good. There is no wi fi available on site but it is provided in the local village cafe.

The views of Longridge Fells from the site are spectacular and I'm told, ( it was too cold and windy to try), offer some great walks along the ridge and also in the local area. It's a short walk into the village where there are 2 pubs, both dog friendly, cafe, village shop which apparently is the oldest continuous trading shop in England, and butchers. We tried both pubs and preferred the Tillitsons Arms which was very welcoming, and served great pub type food which was always freshly cooked and very well presented at a sensible price. There was a good choice of local & guest ales as well as standard beers available. The landlord & lady and all staff were very friendly and after a couple of visits, you felt like you were in your own local at home.

We mentioned earlier about how helpful the owners were. When we arrived we had problems with our car, and the lady owner went out of her way to contact a neighbour who owns a car repairers, and even arranged a visit for me to his workshop and found the time take me there.

We were there in very poor weather conditions and with the exception of a visit to Ingleton Falls walk which is great, it prevented us getting out and about in the area as we intended. We hope to return for another visit later in the year when the weather should be more settled and warmer.

Thank you, you run an exceptional site at a very reasonable price. We will be back!

Well. It's all true! This is a fantastic site. Very well kept. The loo's are silly clean! Nice well kept site and very friendly owners. The other big plus is it's location right in the village with pubs and shops and churches and also the walking around Chipping is just fabulous. Also we have stayed at lower quality sites and paid quite a lot more so it's good value for money for the quality. You can tell the owners are passionate about what they do, too.

I should say, those with very young children will be enchanted with the family of 15-20 ducks who live in the fenced duck pond and generally waddle around the site quacking and being cute.

We stayed for a weekend in the middle of October. The site was full and the owner was turning people away which just goes to prove how popular and how fabulous this caravan site is.

As said in previous reviews, the toilets are out of this world; never before have we stayed on a site where shampoo and body lotion are provided!

Also, no extra charges for dogs or awnings, which is always a positive for us. Dog walk was provided with poo bin close to the gate.

The village was a short stroll away, with a couple of pubs and a tea room which we didn't visit because it was closed, but it looked very inviting with a lovely tea garden to the rear.

If I had one tiny criticism about the site, it would be that the hard standings could be a bit wider. Had we put up our small awning, it would partially have been on the grass which was in a very poor condition due to the rain, it was extremely soggy and not very nice to walk on. But apart from that, I would highly recommend this site. Well done to the owners.
