We first stayed at the Brickhouse site in March 2011 when we took delivery of our new caravan and wanted somewhere local to 'test drive' it.
We couldn't have chosen a better place as, despite the pouring rain, Lynda and Tim were extremely welcoming. So much so that we've just spent three weekends there again, with our daughter and her family enjoying the facilities during the week.
Once again Lynda and Tim were very helpful and friendly, pointing out places of interest for our family to visit.
The site is beautifully positioned with amazing views and it is kept spotlessly clean - the washrooms are really as good as everyone says.
Although there are no children's facilities (which suits us), it only takes a couple of minutes to walk to the local park where we took our granddaughter when the sun eventually popped out for a few moments!
The village is only a short stroll away and we've enjoyed hearty meals in both pubs. Longridge offers a wider range of shops - do go into the hardware store, it's like Aladdin's cave!
The Lancashire countryside is breathtaking and even though we only live a short drive away, the site and it's owners provide a wonderful retreat and an excellent place to recharge your batteries.

This has to be the best site we have ever stayed on. We are quite reluctant to write this review because we don't want too many people to discover it! We had booked for one stay and booked for two more before we left!
Tim and Lynda are the most friendly people and the welcome we received on our arival was second to none.
The view from the site is stunning and the pond with ducks, water hens and their chicks is a delight. To see them troop off to Lynda's garden every day for lunch is something else. The site is immaculately kept and the pitches are well spaced.
During the week, the site was very quiet but it livened up a little at weekends. However, even when full, it was still tranquil and restful.
The toilet block is probably the best we have have experienced and Lynda cleans it four times per day during the busy period.
The village is within five minutes walk and is so pretty. Basics are available there and Sainbury's is about five miles away. The village has two pubs which serve food and Tim and Lynda provide menues for local pubs in the area in the cabin on site.
All in all, we can't praise this little corner of heaven too highly.

What a brilliant find to find this caravan site, we stayed only for 3 nights but wish it could have been longer.
We have tried to book in for a weekend in August but we was not surprised to find it full.
The owners keep it top notch, they were always busy cleaning the toilets, mowing the grass etc. Some lovely views of the hills around.
We ate at the Derby arms a couple of miles away, really nice food there if you are eating out.
Would definitely recommend this site and you would not be disappointed.

An absolute delight. Can't wait to visit again! Everything about this site is good, peaceful, lovely views, frindly owners, great information kiosk with books to borrow/swap, magazines, DVDs to watch, laminated walks, phone, and more.
The facilities are the very height of cleanliness, lovely also to have a range of shampoo, shower gel etc if needed, as well as hand cream etc by the sinks.
The village is great too, and the surrounding area really lovely with loads of walks / bike rides from the site.

Lovely site only stayed one night as the constant rain caused the awning to be so wet and muddy it left us and friends no where to sit in the evening with 3 dogs also.
Site is only small but very pretty with lovely clean toilets & showers which you have your own key for.
Shampoos & cleaning products are provided along with excellent views of the Forest of Bowland.
Lovely friendly village with a range of walks for all abilities. The Sun Inn is a very friendly place with lovely pub food reasonably priced and a good finishing point on the walks.
We will be venturing back soon for another weekend break.

Just spent a fortnight at this site & I agree with previous reviewers. A very warm welcome from the owners, lovely location & views and spotless excellent facilities.
The village has a newsagent and part-time PO and a village shop and a butchers - as well as the two pubs - the food in both was good. Very good area for walking and lots of other things to do.
Ribchester is worth a visit - a pretty village on the Ribble with Roman ruins and museum. We also enjoyed Garstang market (took a local bus from Chipping), the Wild Boar park, Carnforth railway visitor centre (and tea in the refreshment room from Brief Encounter!), a steam fair at Slaidburn and a trip to see Clitheroe which is a pleasant town with a Castle that's worth walking up to for the views.
There are numerous excellent walks in the Bowland fells & information about walks at the campsite. We did a number of walks ranging from 5 miles to 12 miles - all very enjoyable.
The local cafe Cobbled Corner had a gourmet evening which was really good but fun & not formal. Our last evening we had a meal at the Inn at Whitewell - deservedly famous for its food.
All round a great holiday.

I can only re-iterate the previous comments. Within an hour of arriving I felt as if I'd known Lynda & Tom for ever.
The village is really 'olde worlde' with houses dating back to 1638. It could easily be used for a 'period drama', just remove the TV aerials.
A really warm welcome in the Pubs in fact about 10.30pm in the Sun the landlord brought out 2 large pans of Hotpot ( made from proper veg) for everyone to enjoy.
Lots of lovely views across towards The Forest of Bowland. Hardstanding pitches are to be increased in size shortly.

One of the best sites we have visited. Pitches are excellent and the showers are some of the best we have ever seen.
The owners cant do enough for you and we would strongly recommend the site, particularly for elderly people. Nothing for children on the site or in the area.
Chipping is a small village with not a lot of amenities but it is a good location for travelling to Blackpool, Morecambe and the Trough of Bowland.
Also on the plus side, the site has a security barrier and some spectacular views.

Visited this caravan park April 2011 for six nights over Easter. Great value for money with no hidden charges
Absolutely fantastic. The owners were the most helpful people. Site was spotless and the shower block and toilets are the cleanest I have ever seen. Chipping village is only 5 minutes walk away and the sun inn pub is great for food.
Will be going back to this site again very soon.

We have just returned from a 5 night break at the wonderful 'Brickhouse' touring caravan site.
Lynda and Tim (the owners) have created a small piece of heaven in beautiful surroundings.
This site is immaculately kept and spotless.
The new toilet block is the finest we have visited and a real credit to the hard work that they have put into the park.
The park is ideally located with 2 pubs, 3 churches, butchers and village store all close at hand.
The friendliness of everyone in the village and especially from Lynda and Tim made us feel so welcome, so much so that we extended our stay and didn't want to come home even then!
