Site under redevelopment but at this time of year it was fine for us.
Quite liked the toilet/shower pods, but could be awkward in busy times.
Pitches were on the small side.
Nature walk was good for exercising dogs and within walking distance on pavements into Beauly.

This is a fabulous site with real character! The tent field felt free and peaceful and we were told we could pitch anywhere we felt suitable. Lots of sun but also shade under the trees too and loads of room to play for the kids. Even better, the owners have created a wonderful play area in the centre of the site which features cut logs to run and jump on, a sail/pirate boat and a Loch Ness monster made from tyres and bits of tree! Our kids just loved this and played so imaginatively. They said it was the best 'park' they played in all holiday.
There were plenty of clean temporary toilet/shower blocks with hot water. The river was a short stroll away from the tent. You can get onto a pebbly bank or wander along the nature reserve grass paths on a round route which takes you back round past a little pond. Delightful!
Another brilliant addition is the fire pit with tons of cut logs to use freely to build your own fire plus logs all around to sit on, and even a hose pipe to douse the fire out at the end!
The owners really have thought of everything, plus they were friendly and completely unobtrusive. And the price/value for money was amazing!
Could not recommend this site more! Top notch!

Nice site in a beautiful location right next to the River Beauly. This site is under new management and is a vast improvement on when I stayed before about 5 years ago. It's still very much a work in progress and there are plans to build a new toilet/shower/laundry block. As a temporary measure until this is ready, the current facilities are unisex in the main block but there are 4 portacabins that each contain toilet, washbasin and shower if preferred. Everything is kept clean and my only gripes are that the washbasins are too shallow and the hot water ran out easily. These issues would be fixed by the new facility block. There's a bar on site, a barbecue area and something not seen often enough, a firepit.
Beauly itself is about a 25 minute walk away by a path on the main road and has a good mixture of shops. There are a couple of hotels if you wish to eat out and also an indian restaurant (not sure if it does takeaway). There is a Chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop though.
All in all a great place to stay and we had a thoroughly good time.

Great site in a lovely location by the Beauly river. Made very welcome on arrival, owners were both very helpful and informative.
The site is well maintained and improvements are ongoing to enhance the facilities.
New toilet/ shower block not yet in place but temporary installations are clean and perfectly adequate.
Pubs and restaurants are just over mile into Beauly by footpath.

Stayed here for 3 nights during May. The new owners are continuing to make many improvements, though the planned new toilet block is not ready yet, the current toilets are fine.
There are new pitches with all facilities and plenty of space for tents.
There is lots of space for children, a good play area and a nature trail is developing.

Just back from four night stay. Lovely location and setting with good mixture of hard standing, open grassy areas and mature trees. Play area and fire pit look good and are well built.
Nature area at far end is good for dog walking (needs doggie bin).
Poorest feature is toilet/shower facilities but this is being attended to with new facilities being built for next season.
Hard standing pitches are good but the way the grassy areas between them have been laid makes grass cutting awkward so not as well maintained as large grassy areas. Lost the wee map and couldn't find grey water drain so used chemical waste unit which as someone else has commented, is rather exposed for the use it has (build wee shed around it?).
Very good location for visiting various places in different directions.
A warm welcome and the new owners are on a mission to upgrade and improve. Certainly worth a visit.

We do not normally use 'large' campsites, but we were very happy at this one, it was well laid out, with plenty of space between hook-ups.
This campsite is set amongst very large mature tree's, and runs alongside a River, to which there is very easy access.
A nature reserve area has been created, which will greatly add to the attraction of this campsite as nature takes over. There is also a quirky children's play area.
The new owners were very welcoming, and have provided a club cabin/bar, complete with woodburner for cosy winter evenings!
The facilities are clean and adequate, (no tokens/coins for showers needed here. ) and a new toilet/shower block is planned for 2018

Ringing the changes at Beauly Holiday Park!
I've just enjoyed a three night stay here and I must say that I'm impressed at the progress made since the park was taken over in Nov. 2016. This is still a work in progress and the signs are very encouraging for the future, there is a new toilet toilet block planned for 2018 which will further enhance this sites offering.
The site was very clean and tidy and the toilet blocks kept in good order despite the place being fully booked out. Staff were friendly and attentive whilst remaining unobtrusive.
The new kiddies playpark looks great fun (look out for Nessie and a train) and the 6 acre nature reserve is well under way and will provide lots of photo opportunities, I saw Heron, Mallard, a Buzzard and a Red Kite as well as our other, more common, garden birds whilst walking my dog.
The owners encourage advice so, never one to hold back, I would advise that the chemical waste, grey waste set up is not what I would expect. To sluice away ones chemical waste requires a lift that may not be possible for some with a full cassette and the need to lift a lid on the sluice means the chance of contamination as not everybody will rinse the lid as required. It might also be beneficial if this area was enclosed due to the nature of the task being performed therein. The location of the grey waste point is vague and should be an open drain with a grill and not the current set up which requires one to lift a drain cover; we campers like an easy life when out and about!
Those two points are minor and I thoroughly recommend anybody to visit this site and personally look forward to returning in a year or so to see and enjoy the changes coming to fruition.

Just home after spending the weekend at this campsite.
It is a beautiful location, and a lot of the site has been updated. We were given a hard standing pitch which was very spacious and tidy. The children's park area was fantastic which my children enjoyed exploring, and they was lots of room for them to be active on bikes, football etc.
The toilet / shower facilities were clean with laundry facilities in both men and women areas. Although shower block is a bit outdated they are currently planning to install a completely new facility from 2018 which will be beneficial.
Staff were very friendly, helpful, and always available to help will any problems or queries about the local area.
Great site if you want to get away from it all, we will definitely be going back for another break away.
Thank you to the staff we really enjoyed our stay

Just had a week on this site, at the time of our visit the site was quiet, a lovely site with very pleasant surroundings and fishing, which pleased my husband.
The toilet block was clean although only one shower was usable as the floor tiles in the other were uneven.
The new owners have made quite a start on revamping the place and a whole new toilet and amenities block is planned for 2018.
Suffice it to say we will be back and I feel it is better suited to adults.
