My husband and I have just returned from a relaxing and peaceful five night break at Parklands. The owners are friendly and extremely helpful and from our very first contact to our final goodbye this afternoon they make sure that your stay is as you want it to be. A wonderful, well laid out site with large size pitches.
Two fishing lakes which like the rest of the site are maintained and cared for to an exemplary standard. Not the easiest to fish, but certainly good fishing from easily accessible pegs. A wonderful on site cafe and fishing tackle shop.
Toilet, shower and washing facilities are also of considerable size and without doubt maintained to a very high standard. Without any cause for hesitation we would recommend a stay at Parklands. Dog walking off the Site. Internet access via Wifi at a charge. No play area for children but as it is a fishery it would not be the first choice to have children running about.
Ideal for adults wanting peace and quiet even if the fishing isn't a draw. But if fishing is your thing well, you have hit jackpot.

Just returned from bank holiday weekend at Parklands. A lovely well maintained small friendly site with two fishing ponds and a cafe that I would recommend especially the very reasonably priced full english breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The pitches are all hardstanding and levelThe showers are very clean and well maintained. This site is very easy to find and very reasonably priced, and is within walking distance to Northallerton, would definitely return.

Lovely site so easy to get to,
When we arrived had to phone the warden, a very nice young lad was there very quickly showed us our pitch and told us where everything was,
It was really clean and well cared for the toilet block is one of the best I've seen with loads of hot water.
Other half really enjoyed the fishing which was just a short walk away.
The only negative was there was no where to walk our dogs, the road outside the site is quite busy so it was quite a task getting across the road as 1 of our dogs is getting on in years and cant walk too fast.
It's only about 5 mins (by car) to Northallerton which is a lovely market town (market Wed & Sat). We had a lovely evening meal at the pub in Romanby, it was excellent value for money and lovely staff

A truly superb site in an idyllic location! The owners are very friendly and attentive to users needs but not obtrusive.
All on site amenities are kept in an immaculate condition, the showers are large wet rooms with a drying area and a stool. The site has 2 on-site (coarse) fishing lakes and an excellent cafe with very very reasonable prices.
Highly recommended for tourers looking for a quiet site with easy access to local amenities, £14 a night per unit how do they do it?

Just returned from parklands after the bank holiday weekend. Its our 3rd visit to this site and cannot fault it at all. New toilet block which is clean. A lot more seasonal pitches than touring pitches. Nice fishing lake if you like to do a bit of fishing. Site has a cafe which we found prices ok. Only down side is if you are putting up an awning make sure you have metal pegs ground rock hard. Site warden is really helpful even put on a free bbq for jubilee which was really good. Plus weather was good for a change. Less than a mile from northallerton or 10 miles to catterick. Would defo return to this site again.

Stayed here for a short break, nice quiet site nothing for our 9 year old to do but you make your own entertainment. More suited to older couples and fishermen.
Lovely and clean, very very friendly staff. And really nice cafe. And everything reasonably priced. Would certainly go again.
Nice to be able to walk the dog off site and with all hard standings it kept everything clean in some bad weather.
A lot of seasonal pitches taken up which shows how well the site is liked, close to northallerton for saturday market or catterick for sunday market and car boot if required.

Visited this site many times over the years and everytime we stay it gets better. All pitches hardstanding with EHU. This primarily is a fishery but if you like peace and quiet it is an ideal location for a restful break. Oh and son loves to fish here and have caught some great fish. There is now a tackle shop selling all baits you could need. New for this year is also a cafe, which looks really nice. Toilets and shower block are spotless. I would probably say not that suitable for children due to the 2 lakes although they are fenced in and no play area. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, it is close to a lot of nice shops and local takeaways deliver to site.

Ideally situated site for touring the area with easy access from the road.
Only a mile from Northallerton and opposite Romanby Golf Course. So not only somewhere to eat and drink off site but only a short walk.
The site has hard standing and electric hookup on all 31 pitches and even when full is not overcrowded as a lot are seasonal.
Shower and toilet block is new, clean and with plenty of hot water. An on site cafe and shop caters for campers and anglers.
Dogs welcome and a walk just outside the site on a footpath across fields and of course the golf course late evening.
Whilst children are allowed there are no play areas set aside which suited us.
The chemical toilet disposal point is a septic tank in the ground with a tap adjacent for cleaning. It was fine for us but may not suit everyone. Only £14 per night.
