Excellent campsite behind the hotel, very convenient for the bar (a little too convenient, my wife would say) with Aysgarth Falls literally at the bottom of the field and five minutes walk away. The site was generally very quiet, with the noise of the falls and the hourly pleasant bonging of the church bell to lull you to sleep at night. Also great for rabbit fans as the little fellows are everywhere.
The chap who ran the site was friendly and helpful, and at £6 per adult and £3 per child the rates are very reasonable.
The toilet and shower huts were cleaned regularly, although some form of lighting in the toilets and one or two extra cubicles wouldn't go amiss, especially at the weekend when the site was busiest. That said, the pub facilities are available to use during opening times.
We enjoyed it so much that we added a couple of extra nights to our stay, and would be very happy to return.

Very nice site just a short stroll from the river and Aysgarthe falls. St Andrews church is lovely and very creepy in the dark. There was training going on from the RAF and there were Eurofighters when we arrived which the kids loved. Lovely old cotton mill a few minutes walk away which has turned into a craft shop and tea room. Site was very clean and well kept. Went as a party of 16 and some of us stayed an extra day. Toilets and showers were clean but flooded the tray after a few minutes. Park was good for the children and you could see them from the beer garden which was a bonus. Would definitely go back.

Set in the grounds of a pub and very close to the waterfalls, which you can hear from your tent. Pub is handy for those home comforts or if the weather is wet.
Toilets and showers are in little huts, but clean and functional and the shower was amazing! Could have done with an extra loo, although you can use the ones in the pub.
Washing up facilities weren't very good. Taps broken and only one sink had a draining board.
There was a large play area for children.

First time visit to this site and was amazed at how good it was for £6 per night.
Lovely hot showers and flushing clean toilets.
Nice play area for anyone with children.
So close to the aysgarth fall with so many lovely walks in the area.
The guy who was running the site was such a great host and full of local walking knowledge.
Can't wait to visit again.
Plus the pub was lovely and served great good.

Stayed here last weekend, with my two dogs, liked it so much, I booked to return next weekend, I loved this place, my dogs were welcomed, and were allowed in the very nice pub, even though it was busy, on a Saturday night. The toilets were spotless, shower too. Just a short few minutes walk to the falls. The man who manages the site, is a top guy, helpful, and seemed to be around should you need him. The landlord, and bar staff were friendly too. Beer and lager was spot on, I sampled a few of each. And had a good sirloin steak and chips, which I ate in the beer garden, with my dogs at my side. I really enjoyed this site, and at £6 per person, is so cheap. Cant wait to get back

Stayed at this site for the first time a few weeks ago. The people who run/work at the hotel where the site is situated are all very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were clean and the site not overcrowded and you always have the company of rabbits. Lots of rabbits! The site is very central to the Wensleydale area and beautiful for walks etc. Also Aysgarth Falls it situated just behind the campsite, this is where the fight scene between Robin Hood and Little John was filmed for the Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was filmed. As must for any film geek like me!

Absolutely delightful small campsite, scenically attractive, a short stroll from Aysgarth Falls and Aysgarth Church, both of which are worth a visit.
Some of the site slopes slightly, but this was not a problem, and I much preferred the site to an anonymous flat field.
Rather than a toilet block, there are two huts, each with a single toilet and washing facilities, and two huts each with a shower. 'Huts' does not do them justice; they are solid constructions, regularly cleaned and maintained. There are two outdoor sinks for washing up and plentiful hot water.
There is a pleasant playground for children, but as we camped 31st May to 2 June 2013 as an adult couple in our 50s & 60s we didn't use it ourselves.
We were made very welcome by the man who was managing the campsite for the hotel. The campsite is behind the hotel, but at a sufficient distance not to be disturbed by any noise from the hotel. Not that I heard any.
We paid £6. 00 per person per night. Worth it.

I am loathed to leave a review! This site was amazing, beautiful, not at all cramped.
Safe for little ones to runaround, not at all noisy. Very good value.
Right near the waterfalls and some lovely walks. We will return this year to explore further.
The facilities were minimal and basic, but they managed to serve what was a reasonably full site really well. The showers were nice and warm.
Mark who was hosting whilst we were there was friendly and helpful.

What a great little campsite!
Gorgeous location right next to the waterfalls. The site was very clean and well maintained. Easy access to lots of walks and beautiful views. The staff at the hotel could not of been more helpful, especially when my daughter became ill on our visit.
We visited the forbidden corner which was close by and noticed a lot of things we plan to see and do on our next visit!

Great little camp site right next to aysgarth falls, kids loved playing in the river and waterfalls. Great views across the hills and moors, clean toilets and shower available in the pub,
Plenty of walk ways near by. Leyburn only a short drive away. There is a small play area for the children. Coffee and ice cream shop close by, would recommend the ice cream loads of homemade flavours to choose from.
Plenty of space round each pitch not crammed in. Rates very reasonable. Will be visiting this site again.
