Fully endorse all the previous positive comments. I think perfect site would sum it up really! Lovely welcoming hosts, excellent clean facilities that would put many other sites to shame and all the extras too! Fantastic location for exploring North Yorkshire because many places of interest a short drive away. The Dalby forest is close by (great for picnics, walking and cycling). Will definitely be back again. Great little bolt hole to escape to.

This site is quiet, clean, pitches are perfect, superb views. The shower block is clean with warm showers (family room available). The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. The ability to visit the animals and walk around the site is fantastic. There is so much to do in the area and the park is perfectly sited to allow touring to all areas of North Yorkshire. It is also excellent value for money. The ability to purchase food from the farm with honesty boxes sited around is welcoming.

Just returned from 5 nights at cliff farm.
The site is great, offering a quiet retreat with all of the facilities you could possibly need.
The facilities are immaculate and the touches of ice cream to purchase and products from the farm just made our stay even better.
The hosts could not have been more friendly, offering service when needed, but leaving us to enjoy our holiday for the rest of the time.
Will definitely be back

Small friendly site with good views. Situated on a working farm with the noises and smells to match. That's not a criticism it made the weekend more enjoyable.
I went with three children aged 8, 8 and 3 plus a dog and all of them had a really good time. No playground necessary.
The owner and his wife are genuinely nice people and made our children very welcome. A cow gave birth during the night and We were shown the new born calf.
The pitches are user friendly and because the site is quite small everything is nearby.
The WIFI is free and easy to hook up to.
Showers and toilets are spotless and would be warm but for people leaving the door open. I felt obliged to keep our dog on a lead all of because of the signs saying to do so. The owners dogs came to visit and were friendly, very welcome and no trouble. The labrador, Bruce left a pile at the side of my awning which I bagged of course but then I tended to ignore the signs after that.
The border collie, Barney loved fetching a piece of straw! All in all a very good site with easy access to Flamingoland and other attractions and next to the North Yorks Moors.
I'd return but Ive been to that part of the country twice in 1 year now and it's time for a change. Instead I'll recommend it to you.

Excellent campsite, very well laid out and clean. 18 hard standing pitches with grass verges separating each pitch.
Lovely views all around. The toilet/shower block is one of the nicest/cleanest I've seen! And free showers too!
It is a working farm and our kids were mesmerised by all of the farm animals. The donkies, Daisy and Toby, are beautiful. Plenty of cats and two dogs, all very friendly! Especially Barney!
The owners are also very friendly. Had a lovely chat with Jean and Tom.
If your are planning on using an awning of some sort you will need to bring some long metal pegs due to depth of the gravel\hard standing, however, we were offered to borrow some but got away with the ones we brought.
Despite no playground, the kids were still entertained all the same. No moaning from them this weekend which was pleasure to us!
Would highly recommend this site to everyone, with or without kids. There is lots of places and attractions to visit, by foot or car, and the coast (Whitby) is 25miles away.

Just got back from Cliff Farm and I have to say it's a beautiful little sight with stunning views.
The facilities there were very well maintained and the staff were very friendly.
There are some lovely walks around the farm and a nice 20min walk to the nearest pub.
We really enjoyed our visit and would go back again.

If only all sites were like Cliff Farm. It is always the little things that make a difference - and the owners have thought about many little things with great care and attention to make a superb, friendly and peaceful site.
The site has 18 pitches, all hard standing with grass between them. Water points are easily accessible, waste and recycling are well organised and there is a barn that has been made available for wet weather barbecues. But what makes this such a great site are the facilities: clean, well lit, sufficient loos (2 + 2 urinals for men, 2 loos for women), 2 basins for each with a shelf and a mirror, hot free showers with 8 - yes 8 - hooks and a stool so you don't get your clothes wet and you can find stuff in your washbag. There is a disabled/family washroom, a laundry room (now an ironing board is beyond what I'd be looking for when campervanning, but there is one!), a freezer for ice blocks and for local ice cream to buy. Free wifi was a real bonus.
The chickens behind our pitch produced wonderful eggs, and there were seasonal veg, both of which were available to buy.
We loved the animals - it's a working farm - friendly dogs, cats, chickens, cows and the gorgeous donkeys, Daisy and her new foal, Toby. We didn't need young children as an excuse to feed them our carrots and apples every day. Whilst there aren't any 'children's' areas, some visiting children clearly had a wonderful time watching the animals and playing simply in the safe environment.
The owner runs the site with a warm, down to earth approach and an engaging way of talking to visitors. Lots of flowers brighten up the place, and the track down to the farm is well maintained. Footpaths have been created and marked on their map of the area.
We had a lovely time in the North York Moors and around the Whitby / Scarborough coast. Walking, cycling the Cinder Track (former railway) and driving round the beautiful area - all good.
Highly recommended and excellent value. Congratulations to the Scalings, and thank you.

We have just returned from a week's stay at this lovely site and wouldn't hesitate to go back when visiting the area again. The toilet block was always spotless and there was also a family room, laundry room and covered dish-washing area. A lovely touch were the eggs, jams and home baking for sale. The friendly owners have created a lovely laid back site and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, as do their dogs (especially if you have a ball !). Hope they keep it just the way it is.

We are a 2-adult and 2-child family (3 & 7) and we loved this site. It is a working farm so you can see animals such as cows up close, which the kids loved.
There are signposted walks around the fields.
There is a barn which has been converted to an undercover bbq area, with an oil-drum bbq, table, chairs, etc. We didn't use it, but its nice to know that you can have your bbq regardless of whether it rains or not!
The shower/toilet block is clean, the showers are hot and powerful, and the laundry room has a freezer from which you can buy local ice cream. Fresh eggs are also for sale, as were some home-made biscuits.
There isn't a children's playground as such, although there is a small grassy area that would suit gentle ball games.
The owners were very relaxed and you can choose your own pitch.
The only minus point for us (and it is only a minor thing) is that if you have a small child who needs a step to reach the toilet, urinal or sink you'll need to bring your own. Some places provide these, but many don't, and this one doesn't. Otherwise a highly-recommended site. We will be going back.

What a gem of a site. Could not criticise anything! A great deal of thought and care has been put into the development of this lovely site.
Pitches are well spaced, washrooms are immaculate, owners are informative and helpful. The access is good, and though a single track road I can't see that this would cause any problems as visibility is good.
Lots of walks with excellent views. Sinnington Village is not far from the site, about a 20 minute walk.
We will definitely visit here again.
