A delightful little site, set in a perfect location for exploring Yorkshire. Minutes from the moors and within close proximity to the coast and also to the city of York.
The site itself was lovely, on a working farm with all pitches laid out in their own hard standing plot.
The shower block is of an excellent standard with 2 showers in both the ladies and gents and a further disabled/family room.
There is also a laundry facility within the block which contains a freezer where ice blocks can be frozen and ice-cream can be purchased. Fresh farm eggs are available through an honesty box system and on some of the days we were there, we also had home baking available to purchase.
The proprietors were very obliging and welcoming and we would recommend this site to others, hoping to use it in the future if we are in the area.
For the standard of the site, this represents great value for money!
Big thumbs up from us!

Myself, wife and kids have just returned from a fantastic weekend away staying at cliff farm sinnington. On arrival we found the owners to be very relaxed as to where we wanted to pitch up. The site itself has wonderful views, is spotlessly clean and has a very friendly atmosphere. The site facilities were kept very clean at all times.
We found cliff farm to be fantastic value for money, so much so, we rebooked to return in 2 weeks for another weekend and are planning a week break in a month or two.
I personally don't think its possible to get a better site anywhere for the prices they charge.
A special thanks to the owners for making me and my family feel so welcome. We very much look forward to seeing you very soon.

We have just returned from our second visit to this lovely site and loved it just as much, if not more, than the first time in July last year.
We were extremely lucky to get a pitch as we booked just three days before we arrived, very short notice considering our 5th & 6th nights fell on the recent bank holiday weekend and the site rapidly filled right up, showing how popular it is.
The whole of the site including the showers and toilets were still as spotlessly clean as before and very well maintained.
Great value for money too which means we will be returning to the site again sometime soon.
Oh and I have to mention, the site now sells freshly laid hens eggs which are delicious. We had a dozen while we were there and brought two dozen home! Just keeps getting better and better!

This is on a working farm and has been well thought out lots of room. Amenities are top class always clean, have lots of room in the disabled. They have gone to a lot of trouble marking out walks directly from the farm and the ice cream is to die for, can also buy fresh eggs. The owners are very friendly they have opened up a shed specially for information, brilliant. It's in a lovely area with lots to see and do.

We discovered this lovely farm site in July of last year and returned for numerous weekends throughout the rest of the 2012 season and have been back in 2013. We have found the farm owners to be very friendly and helpful each time we have visited. All pitches are hard-standing so remain dry compared to many sites we have previously been on in poor weather conditions.
The views are fantastic from the site. The toilet and shower block is new and is kept immaculately clean (unlike some sites we have been on). The washing up facilities have both hot and cold water, although they are not under cover this hasn’t been a problem as we, and others I am sure, have our own facilities within our caravan.
The site is a quiet family park, not far from various local villages.
We feel the comments made by the campervan owner in relation to the farmers are very unfair as the charges are very reasonable and probably do generate a “meagre income” compared to the working farm. Perhaps the campervan owner thinks they should charge more in popular weeks; as the site would definitely be worth it.
On a final note, the family probably have “added another string to their bow” but in doing this have enabled holiday makers to pitch their caravans on a reasonably priced, high standard park. The rest is up to the individual and it is a much appreciated break for most of us!

We arrived 'on spec' as a last minute booking just before Christmas and received a very warm welcome from site owners and the family who showed us round the facilities. Was it level for a motorhome? Yes, no problem? Could we bring a dog? Of course.
On arrival, we were advised to ensure that we pitched entirely on the hardstanding as it was VERY wet on the site.
The toilet block was clean and warm; wi-fi should have been assured but was unavailable during our visit. There was full recycling next to the waste bins. The laundry room had an honesty box for payment for bread, pizza, ice cream, wash powder. Milk and eggs were also on sale at the house. There was also a well stocked information room near the house.
This is a working farm, so there is much to look at in the barns - cows, calves, tractors etc.
The access road is rough but ok, if taken slowly. A 20 minute walk to Sinnington with a good pub.
The nearest shops are a 10 minute drive away - Kirby Moorside, Pickering or a well stocked garage in Middleton.
Good views, good TV reception - looking forward to visiting again.

We stayed at Cliff Farm during the final week of October, a week that saw the weather veer from warm sunshine, to fog and drizzle and finally to sunshine again, albeit accompanied by a biting cold wind. Even so, we had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
The location is superb, a real working farm situated just outside the charming market town of Pickering, and so ideally placed within an easy drive of the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington and the city of York. Alternatively, for those who prefer to leave the car behind there is an hourly bus service to Helmsley and Scarborough from the main road, which connects at Pickering with the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway terminus and with regular 'Coastliner' bus services to Leeds, York and the other Yorkshire seaside resorts.
The site is accessed down a firm, if sometimes mucky farm track which, if nothing else, is effective for testing whether your hitch is secure when leaving at the end of your stay! Meanwhile the pitches themselves are laid out on a gentle west-facing slope and are mostly hard-standing - each with enough room to set up an awning without intruding on the next door neighbours. There are plenty of water taps dotted about and the hook-up points are all close by their appropriate pitches. There is an elsan point and a clean, modern shower and toilet block that includes a family/disabled shower room and laundry room. The only criticism that can be levelled against it is that the washing-up basins are located on the outside of the block without any protection from the elements, an oversight that could be put right fairly simply with the fitting of a simple plastic canopy.
There is also a 'tourist information' kiosk in the shape of some shelves in a corner of an adjacent barn. However, although it is well stocked, because it is in a barn many of the leaflets and brochures soon become rather damp and curled. A store of games and sporting equipment for borrowing by campers is also located in the same barn.
The owners are very friendly and obliging and at £12 per night Cliff Farm is great value, whether you're just there for a night or staying for longer. Therefore, we thoroughly recommend it as a base for exploring the local area or for relaxing by your van and marvelling at the sun setting over the distance hills.

Picked this site to go to war weekend, good choice. As per other reviews toilet block new and spotless. Laid back approach as from all farmers I guess. Great views. 15 minute stroll to pub in Sinnington, very nice food but more restaurant than pub grub - especially the prices, 4 adults 1, 14 year old, few drinks, £148. 00 ! Be warned !
Would like to have gone again next year BUT three day bookings only for the war weekend, ain't taken long to get on the 'screw em for all we can ' bandwagon. Shame really, marred my perception of the good old farmy types adding another string to their bow to add to their meagre incomes.

My wife, Son and myself booked in here as the previous site we booked was not up to our expectations. We booked 4 nights and ended up staying 5.
The Farmers wife is a lovely friendly person. The facilities are spotless. We had a water tap next to us.
The ground is fairly level. The added bonus of being able to have the internet is a bonus. Our 14 year old son was made up with that.
My only criticism which will be rectified is the approach path to the site it is a bit like they say the rock road to Dublin.

We just came back from three nights away here and would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes a quiet, peaceful getaway. We initially booked for two nights but loved it so much we asked if we could stay on for a third night.
The facilities are immaculately clean, as is the whole site and the owners are very friendly and welcoming.
The views from the site are wonderful with no noise whatsoever as it is well set back from any main roads and yet within walking distance of Sinnington village. Perfection!
