Very clean typical Caravan Club site. We arrived towing a KA on an A frame for the first time. We drove around the site looking for a pitch as suggested by the wardens, and then had problems turning right back onto the site from the exit. The wardens were very helpful and held the barrier up manually while we negotiated a 7 metre long motor home and tow car. They checked our pitch was OK later and also helped with sightseeing and suggestions for meals out etc.
Very clean showers and toilets as you would expect.
Well spaced pitches, separate area for children to play in safety near the toilets.
Wardens emptied rubbish and recycling daily and somewhere on the park someone was always cutting grass while we were there.

We have just returned from spending a week at this site and will definitely revisit in the future. It is a clean, well kept site (Thanks Wardens!) as you would expect from the high standards achieved by The Caravan Club.
The bus stop is just a five minute walk from the site entrance and the buses travel every half hour into Littlehampton in one direction and Arundel in the other both of which are just a 10 minute ride away.
From Littlehampton, you can travel to Worthing, Brighton in one direction and Bognor Regis, Chichester and Portsmouth in the other direction. As a motorhome owner, a good bus service is useful to travel around the area.
The downside of motorhome ownership! We bought a weekly 'Gold Rider' bus ticket for £19.50 providing unlimited travel on the buses for a week which was well worth the investment.
Littlehampton is about a half an hour walk away but it is not a pleasant walk being along a busy main road. This area is lovely with plenty to see and do for all.
There are plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Within easy reach of the site.

We were lucky to get onto this site at the last minute on a bank holiday w/end. Although the site was nearly fully booked not all the pitches are being utilised so it didn't feel packed.
Saying that we were on the grass pitches at the bottom of the site and out pitch was a little cramped luckily our neighbours moved their car to give us more room outside of our awning.
The site is easy to find just off the A27 and where we were we didn't hear much traffic or train noise. The facilities are usual Caravan Club standard, lovely new shower block. Handy for us, there was a small enclosed dog walk area.
My 6 and 7 year old sons loved the park and there were a lot of other children on the site who were able to enjoy cycling around. In response to a previous review, being a weekend it is highly likely that families with children will be on site and if you find the sound of children playing offensive perhaps visiting family friendly sites out of school time is not advisable.
This site is in a excellent location to visit the South Coast from Portsmouth to Brighton and there is loads to see and do. Our children enjoyed the Broad Water Park near Shoreham which was an inexpensive attraction with miniature train, splash pool, park, bouncy castle etc.
There are many supermarkets in the locality, we didn't visit any of the near-by pubs. Overall a lovely site which we would definitely visit again.

To Find Site:- Leave A27 just east of Arundel and take A284 towards Littlehampton. Just past the village of Lyminster watch out for left turn into Mill Lane. (signed for Household Waste and Recycling) Proceed with care as although entrance is near to junction at certain times of days vans can be parked opposite site entrance.
The Caravan Club has recently purchased this former commercial campsite and upgraded it to modern Club standards. In total there are 115 pitches which consist of a mixture of grass and hard standings.
Most of the grass pitches are situated beyond the toilet block. 20 of the hard standings have waste and water connections for which there is a small daily extra fee. The site has an open aspect with little in the way of shade the converse being that setting up a satellite dish should not present any problems.
There is one central, heated, facility block which is to a very nice modern standard. Included is a laundry room and an enclosed dish wash area. Service points are dotted around the site. The electric bollards have a TV connection for both analogue and digital programmes, you need your own co-ax cable.
Next to the toilet block is an enclosed play area for younger children but no kick about area for older children. The site as a dog walk. Littlehampton has the second generation WiFi and there are aerials all round the site, this was untested by me as I had a good 3G signal. From some pitches, mainly those running from reception round to the toilet block do suffer from some traffic noise.
This site is handy for exploring this part of the south coast and surrounding countryside. You can walk from the site into Littlehampton, or park the car on the seafront car park and walk into town along the riverside walk.
Arundel is only a few miles away and is worth a visit although the castle is not open all year. A little further a field are Portsmouth and Chichester and in the other direction Worthing and Brighton. For shopping there is a minimart type shop about 10 minute walk from the site and a Tesco on the outskirts in the direction of Bognor Regis.

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 nights at this site.
We were slightly concerned after reading some of the previous reviews that we had made a mistake in booking this site. Had the other sites nearby not been fully booked we would have looked to changed our booking - however , I am really glad we decided to go ahead with Littlehampton and loved our time there.
We chose one of the grass pitches a little way in front of the play area. It suited us perfectly - we didn't notice any road/railway noise and certainly didn't have lots of children 'racing' around on bikes etc - there were a few riding around but at a sedate pace. We have already booked to go back in December! and would recommend it as a base to explore more of the area.

We visited Littlehampton site just after it opened and have been back a couple of times.
The Wardens were very helpful and friendly and kept the site clean and tidy at all times.
The children's play area is very good and our children spent most of their time in there meeting new friends. Dog walk was small but suitable for size of park.
Theres a supermarket a short drive away (5mins).
Littlehampton beach is lovely and we found some lovely little smaller beaches.
I look forward to returning at the end of the season.

Facilities here are wonderful, everything is ship shape and super clean. Play area is good for my two kids too. Pitches are a bit tight from front to back, you look straight into another caravan in front and not much room to manoeuvre.
Glorious weather when we went to went lots to West Wittering Beach (although this is a good 30 min journey) and Arundel Lido which was fab. Wouldn't go again, just because we prefer sandy beaches rather than pebbly ones like at Littlehampton.

This is a lovely site, well kept, nice and clean, and new facilities. We had very little to do with the wardens but they seemed very pleasant and helpful.
Lots of kids on this site while we were there, racing around the site on bikes and scooters, and the park was packed during the afternoon and evening although they had to leave the park by 10pm. Kids were also cycling around the toilet blocks, maybe the cycle rack for the park was put in the wrong place?
We weren't bothered by the road noise or the railway, not really noticeable but as someone else mentioned we were kept awake by the next door pub disco on one evening, which finished at 11.45pm. I think we were unlucky, our pitch backed onto the pub, pitches further away would have been less affected. That said, I would rather pitch there again than by the park.
Arundel Castle is the main attraction in the immediate area and is well worth a visit. Allow a full day, there is a lot there. Parking is not too pricey in the car parks either. We also did a lovely circular walk along the river.
This is not somewhere I would go to again, although the site is up to the usual Caravan Club standards, there is not much else to do in the area.

October was our second visit back to Littlehampton. We loved the site which we attended 2 weeks after it opened.
On our first visit we pitched up outside the play area, which was useful for our youngest daughter, our sons are too old for playgrounds. The pitch was perfect. The wardens were extremely helpful and polite at all times. Toilets and showers were kept clean at all times. No road noise, although there was a disco nearby which kept me awake one night.
Local pubs nearby, Supermarkets nearby Somerfield being the nearest and tesco being a short drive away.
On our second visit in October however we decided to pitch away from the play area and take a grass pitch we found this much better and less noisy in the evening when older children are still playing and younger children are tucked up in bed.
We loved this site and plan to return many more times in the future.

Littlehampton Caravan Club site was just a few weeks young when my dog and I visited it during early August 2009.
Everything was new. I've since looked at old photo's of this site as the White Horse touring site and everything has changed.
New checkin block, new tarmac and new shower / toilet blocks.
Upon check-in the warden was both helpful and polite and went out of his way to explain about the work put into the site.
I went on a pitch which was not only big on space but had gravel as the hard standing which was a breeze to walk and move on.
The shower blocks were always clean, always warm and always open except for the usual cleaning half hour.
I'm a railwayman by trade, and grew up both in school and work in the nearby area so the passing trains, which are about 150 yards away caused no problems but as there is no station nearby, the trains do pass at the permitted speed of approx 70mph.
The main road mentioned in other posts is the main road from Littlehampton to the A27 to the north but this caused no problems to my dog or myself as I had the TV on once past sun down.
The dog walk, as mentioned in other posts, does contain a compost heap and would during summer months cause problems to nearby units but caused no problems to myself, some 65ft away!
I can recommend the Locomotive Public House to the south for not only being big in space, but also big in ensuring you are both happy and content with what was ordered.
Littlehampton, Arundel and Bognor Regis is all within 15 minutes drive while Ford Market (Sunday only) is only a few minutes drive away and they are all worth a visit.
Bognor Regis is home to Bognor Regis Butlin's Resort and is recommened to day visitors with families.
