 The Lower Lode is a gem of a campsite. Built around the pub The Lower Lode, the campsite is edged on one side by a sandy banked river, upon which are boats presumably for hire in good weather. The pub was lots of fun and appears to be frequented by campers and locals alike.
Site facilities are basic - a toilet block with showers and washing up facilities, but no electric hookups (at least not in the camping area). It didn't look like there would be much green space at peak times either, but the main attractions would have to be the river and the pub.
