This was our first time camping, the owner was very helpful. The weather was awful and he put us in the most sheltered spot for our tent.
A very peaceful and beautiful site. Really well maintained and very pretty.
Toilets were dated but really clean. Prices very reasonable.
We would definitely return and recommend.

We visited this camp site in May 2009 for a short 2 night stay to do some walking in this area. The Campsite owner was very helpful and gave us a sheltered spot for our tent as there were some heavy showers and high winds when we arrived. First impressions of site – it is in the middle of some stunning scenery and is a very attractive and well kept site. There were clean toilet and shower facilities and washing up area. I found the water to be hot enough, if you let it run it a little while.
This is a very good area for walking with high moorland, woodland and farmland above the valley which is home to Silsden and Keighley. The wooded dells below the moor were a real delight at this time of year, full of greenery, bluebells and wild garlic and well worth visiting. We followed our 8 mile walking route from the South Pennines OS Map OL21 and thoroughly enjoyed this very scenic walk.
We visited Addingham briefly but thought that eating out there a bit expensive. We remembered a previous visit to The Dog and Gun in Glusburn and decided to return as we found it to serve a really good variety of food at a reasonable price in nice surroundings and good service. This is only about a 15 or 20 minute drive away from the campsite.
Despite the awful heavy showers, we had a really good trip and would return to this site in the future.

This site is only a few miles from our home so it was ideal for our first tentative (no pun intended) steps into the world of camping.
First impressions of the site were great, it looked clean and tidy even in the rain and wind that was there to welcome us. There is no site office so it was potluck where you pitched the tent and most of the camping field is sloping so we ended up getting on a slope which was a shame for my better half (her back was aching for days after.
The owner is around in his land rover much of the time so you don't feel abandoned and the toilets etc, which are dated but spotless, are situated in the middle of the statics but within easy walk from the tent. We wanted for nothing at all as there was a little play are at within 20 yards of our tent and for provisions Silsden boasts a big co-op and banks, smaller shops a chippy and quite a few takeaways.
In all at £5 pppn £4 for kids under 16 this site is wonderful, the slope aside everything else from the beautiful surroundings to the very nice and helpful owners was pretty much perfect, we will be here for some weekends through the summer and so long as you all promise not to be there when I want to book I will recommend this site.

Lovely location in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very relaxed and just let you enjoy your holiday. The site is mainly static caravans which are immaculately kept with lovely flowerbeds and manicured lawns. Even the residents are very friendly and will stop and have a chat with you.
The owner is very proud of the neat and tidy site which makes people want to keep it as they find it. We were the only tent there when we visited and opted for electric hook up, which for £11 per night for 16 amp is well worth it! The main tent area is rather uneven, but the field is well drained and there are a few sheltered spots.
Yes, the shower block and pot washing areas are a bit dated but functional, although the water could do with being hotter in the pot washing area and some heating provided in the shower block. It would also be to the owner’s advantage to provide toilet roll and soap as paper towels are provided. The showers were kept spotlessly clean, as per the rest of the site. Another bonus is that they sell gas supplies as well.
There is a short drive into Silsden where there is a Co-op for general groceries and also a petrol station with a mini mart for out of hours supplies. A good base for exploring the surrounding areas like Ilkeley, Bolton Abbey, Halifax and Haworth.
Will definitely be returning. A little gem of a site.

We used this site for our baptism into camping and my parents came along with their caravan for support. They arrived first and were advised the best plot for our tent and even positioned the caravan as a wind break. A beautifully landscaped well maintained site. Toilet blocks spotless and plenty of showers which were 20p. We didn't use these though came home smelly. At six o'clock on the sunday we decided to stay another night which they were happy to accomodate and as my husband couldn't come back from work til six the next day they were more than happy for us to leave when ever. Beautiful views lovely walks and very friendly owners. There is a dog walk that doesn't allow children so you can let your dogs run off the lead, brilliant idea. The statics that are there just leave you to your own devices and no one objected to the ball games and badminton net. We had a fantastic time. I can highly recommend the car boot sale in town on the sunday lots of bargains. My only reservation is that if I praise it too highly you will all go!

We have just returned from a weekend stay here. We arrived at 5:45pm so later than usual but the owner was lovely, very helpful and very chatty. Due to the heavy rain he helped us to find the driest spot for the tent. Which for other campers is at the top of the field but in dry weather the best place is at the bottom as its more sheltered but very boggy in the rain.
We were the only campers there until the saturday when only other 2 tents turned up. But we were spolit for choice when pitching. However the field isn't level so its a little tricky to find the right spot.
There is no site office or shop but the owner seemed to be around the site very often doing jobs. He drives a silver land rover and wears blue working gear. When it comes to paying just have a look for him as he came for the fee at 10:30am which I found very good as you are normally turfed off sites about this time. We paid 5 quid per person per night so it was relatively cheap compared to other sites.
The site was immaculate both the grounds and the facilities. The showers were lovelly and just the right temperature. Use 10p's as they will eat 20's. It was also very quiet. Not lots of children and dogs. It was just right for us who doesn't have children or dogs.
Silsden is a nice little village with plenty of option for take away. The Rice Bowl was nice. We also had a traditional sit down Thai meal in The Thai Bong Restaurant with traditional seating arrangements which was great.
We would definately go back as its only 40 mins from where we live so its great for exploring the surrounding areas or for a relaxing weekend.

Loved this site. So close to the Dales, Skipton and the Worth Valley Railway at Keighley. The tent field was very spacious and landscaped with delightful gardens, a fully enclosed pond, and seats to enjoy the views that are to die for. There is an excellent play area and what looked like a lovely dog walk from the site. EHU is available if you ask.
The owner was very helpful and friendly. Quite laid back about collecting the site fees in the evening, which were very reasonable. It was £8 per night for tent, 1 adult, 1 child and EHU.
The tent field is adjacent to the static caravan area and the folk in the statics were very friendly. If you bring your caravan you are in an area between the statics, not as open as the tent field. The shower and toilet facilities were dated but immaculate. 20p is required for the showers. I used 40p for my shower but I was washing my long hair.
Silsden is less then 5 minutes away in the car. It has shops, pubs, cafes, takeaways and quite large Co-op store. You could walk into Silsden but it is a very steep uphill pull on the way back!
Will definitely be going there again.

Returned again. Fantastic. Everything spotless, owner so friendly and ever so helpful always on hand if you need him. Kids were thrilled with all the baby bunnies they saw too. Only 3 tents on the field so kids had loads of space to run around. I can safely say we are returning again soon :)

July 2004 We visited the site to try out our new (to us) trailer tent. The facilities are spotless, location wonderful (I would say that considering it's only 10 mins away!) and would definitely go again. Local shops only 2 mins away and some excellent walking and views. Try it !!! Gra
