What a pretty site !
The site is set in lots of tree's (although you can still get plenty of sun) and has a river to one side.
There are swings, seesaw and small slide for children & plenty of space for ball games, running around etc.
The toilet/shower block are dated but do what's needed, wash up area is inside.
Good access to water points, Toilet empty point & waste water are both at ground level and very easy access.
Yes the site does get noise from the main road but must say just take some ear plugs if that worries you as this site is well worth staying at, but despite the road noise it is still a very peaceful setting (confusing I know, but the road noise isn't really noticed during the day).
The owners keep busy around the site & you can tell, very clean and tidy, nice short grass & very helpful people.
I wasn't sure what to expect as there was no up to date reviews (Last one being 2009) but this is probably the prettiest site we have been to and should we visit the area again we would stay at this site without hesitation.
Prices are very reasonable (we have paid a lot more in some sites that are not a patch on this one)
Well worth a visit !.

Lovely campsite, very pretty layout under the trees near a river, toilet block very clean although only one shower so a bit congested on the bank holiday weekend. Nice home from home touches like decent soap and washing up liquid in the laundry room. The over-sink draining racks are an inspired idea. Lots of hot water for showers and washing up. Owners will freeze ice-blocks for you. Loved the hut with tourist information and books - the kids loved to go in there to have a story! Very friendly owners who obviously take pride in the site, and they were very accommodating of individual needs. The main tent field is very large although very near the main road and not so secluded as the rest of the site so electric hook up pitches in the trees are the best. Lovely little playground for the children and a big open space for ball games.
The major downside of this site for anyone keen on walking is that it is right near main roads, so not very picturesque and not possible to take walks straight from the site. Having said that, the village has 2 lovely pubs, one with large garden with loads of kids play equipment (inside and out) and nice food - we had our main meal at the pub and then had take-out pudding, which we enjoyed back at the campsite - perfect.

Looking forward to 10th visit next july, so Malcom and Wendy must have something right. Toilets, showers and sink areas always spotlessly clean. Wendy takes pride in this. Quiet site always tidy. Small hut with what must be a collection of every leaflet available in Norfolk and sufolk. Books,Mags and Jigsaws for loan if you want them. We never seem to have time for these, because after nine years still plenty of places to go and plenty of things to do. We have used this site with both tent and caravan. Over all a great site with great people.

I endorse everything 'johnjory' says. Malcom and Wendy make you very welcome. Entrance is a little narrow but I pulled my twin axled Superstar through ok. Ground towards river can get soft if there's been a lot of rain. Malcom can supply various gas bottles if required. 2 Great Pubs in Scole, 8 minute walk on narrow pavement, dimly lit at night, but you do have to cross the A140 Dual carriageway. The Scole Inn, dating from the 15th Century does very nice a - la - carte, and the Crossways has nice garden for the kids and does decent Pub Grub. And the Beers good too. Diss is only 1 1/2 miles away, serviced by Tesco's, Morrison's, and Somerfield. Check out the bookshop by the Information Centre in Town. Has a nice Tea room in it overlooking The Mere (large lake) and there's a Pub further along the High st that also has a nice decked area overlooking The Mere. Enjoy.

July 2004 Great place to stay. A lot of things to do with in walking distance. A very friendly staff that walks you down to your pitch.

Aug. 2004 for 2 nights Good value at £9/nt (2 people. no elec.)
Well laid out wooded area. Pitches 1-10 nice spots very convenient for toilets/washing facilities. Also other nice pitches at far end near river under trees with picnic tables. (Long walk to facilities though)
Quiet site, but not totally peaceful as never entirely free of traffic roar in background from nearby main road.
Architecture of toilet block firmly rooted in 1970’s, (Which is OK by me because so am I.) Appeared to have been recently redecorated. Well supplied with everything and well maintained. Only one shower each for ladies & gents seemed limited but not a problem in practice. (What can this s say about caravanners?....)
We were quite happy.
