Nice place, although we didn't see far from all of it.
Lots of rabbits around, which upset the dog slightly.
Close to Newquay.
Nice shop with food and other necessities.
Very helpful keepers living just next door, so available at all time.
The shower-block was nice and clean and spacious. Water was a bit hot (non-adjustable), but enough of it. Separate room for washing wet-suits.
Nice and helpful people running the place. And very idyllic!

I love this campsite, have been several times and will go again, no doubt about it!
Great sized pitches, pitches have hedges at regular intervals plenty of privacy,we went as a large family group 14 people in 6 tents with ages ranging from 3 to 69 and we all had a great time and can't wait to go again.
Very helpful friendly owners and staff, dogs allowed though must be cleaned up after (think this goes without saying for responsible owners).
Site facilities are good, handy shop, bar, cafe all at reasonable prices.
Plenty of toilets, showers are free with tons of hot water, all cleaned regularly and of a good standard.
The kids love all the bunnies hopping round the place, also saw lots of butterflies and the odd hedgehog, there's a big fishing lake and a children's play area swings slide etc.
Site was very quiet at night and had plenty of small lamps which made wondering about in the dark easier without being so bright to disturb anyone trying to sleep.
Plenty of beaches and attractions within 20 minutes drive, also several large supermarkets and pubs within a couple of miles.
This site is very well maintained, plenty of beautiful flora and fauna to look at some of the plants and trees are just stunning

Stayed here in March for the first time due to it's extended open season, (10 months of the year I believe). Have been back 5 or 6 times since as it is such a nice place to stay. The owners are friendly and relaxed and they have gone to quite an effort to make the site what it is, with landscaping and also bird feeders etc to encourage wildlife. The main site is divided into areas by the trees etc and can feel almost like clearings in a wood. You are greeted in the mornings with rabbits and birds everywhere.
Some might say that the toilet facilities are a bit old but they are fully functional and there are never any problems with them. The wash up areas and laundry are all good as well. Have not used electric hookups but there seem to be plenty of them. Water points also are easy to find and good. (What can I say it could not be much better and have been to places charging twice as much money that are much worse).
The reception/ shop is often closed when we have arrived but the owners show no nothing but willingness to open and help. The bar next to the entrance is useful as it means that they are usually close to hand.
I noticed that there is at least one playground for the kids.
There is also a field that is designated for groups and backpacking tents which is not quite so landscaped, but does benefit from a view of the lake (i think). I don't really know what it is like here.
One downside of the site is the road noise, which is ironic as the upside for me is the wildlife and the landscaping. Traffic can usually be heard on the site.
The road also brings the other main benefit of the site and that is the good transport links to newquay. It is possible to easily get by car to either side of the town without going through the centre and to go to Watergate or Crantock easily as well. The same is true of the Morrisons supermarket, and the A30 (Summercourt turnoff).
Price wise it varies - in the off season it is cheaper than others around, but does get more expensive in the summer hols.
For evening entertainment there is a pub at Quintrell Downs that is walking distance.
As for tourist attractions around Newquay, I don't know where to begin. I recommend the shoulder seasons for surfing. And the Screech Owl Sanctuary and Cornish Bird of Prey Centres are both very good.

Excellent Campsite!
This campsite was perfect for us! We all felt that the campsite had a big divide. One side being for families and the other for young adults and single sex groups.
We all felt the divide was a great idea and worked very well.
We stayed on the younger side which we requested and had a fantastic time! TH divide meant we could sit out in the evening and drink without having to worries about upsetting anyone.
Campsite facilities were fine, Shotz bar was good and good prices and also he bar was well priced.
Food at the on site resturant was very nice! Recommend getting up for breakfast has it sets you up for the day.
Toilets and showers were ok. Not the tidest and cleanest but ok for what we wanted.
The only thing we would make a suggestion on it the opening hours of the shop wasn't very good. They were only open in the morning 8 till 12 and only 2 hours in the evening 6 till 8.
The campsite also offers a Taxie rate £2 each for 6 people into newquay town. £4 each return. Very good idea so you can all drink and the parking in newquay town center is rubbish and very expensive.
Staff were very helpful and nice.
Overall very good campsite and well recommended.

Lovely site 2 miles from Newquay. Statics tourers and tents all mixed together and another separate bit for tents. Separated into sections by hedges. Shower block, older style but clean. Push button showers that last for 10 seconds but this is forgiven as they are hot and powerful. Recycling facilities. Family bathroom, laundry room £2.00 per wash, £1.00 per 1/2 hour tumble drier. £24.50 per night on fully serviced pitch, 2 adults and a dog.Thought £2.40 a night for the dog was a bit steep. Morrisons store on the edge of Newquay. Small store about a mile along the road at roundabout. Dog walk at edge of park. Cafe on site serving breakfasts from 8.30am. Also a bar, didn,t use either so can,t comment. Quiet site, would recommend. Small shop on site. Basic goods. Friendly staff.

Stayed here previously in July/August 2004, which is why we returned again this year. Site is quiet, well maintained, most pitches have electric hook-up and are nicely laid out. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. There is a pub called the Willows that you can get to through the camp field, the meals here are very nice. Toilet/Shower block quite clean and tidy and include launderete facilities. There is a games room and a snack bar complete with garden.(This was new this year). There is also a shop on site for your bits and pieces. The staff can arrange for a taxi that will take you into Newquay on a night, although we didnt use it, plenty people did. Beaches - plenty to choose from only problem we found was parking. Would recommend this site and we will definitely come back.

What a lovely place, very peaceful and picturesque. Caravan was great with large lounge/dining area and all amenities i.e. showers, laundry, cafe etc.. all really nice and regularly cleaned. ALL staff are very friendly and helpful. The site is in a great location for exploring Cornwall and ideal for Newquay surfing. Will definitely visit again.
