Very good campsite. Slight misunderstanding with booking but absolutely could not fault how it was handled! Very friendly and professional! Could not do enough to help us. Even to providing us with bus timetable. Busy road could be heard but was not a problem. Did not eat at bistro but food looked good and prices were reasonable. Can recommend walking along the Thames path both ways easily access able from site and well signed as well. Definitely going back in July. Would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a quiet peaceful site

Having just spent 3 very relaxing days we agree with other comments, except the loos are great the dog walks superb. Meals on site are good value, but £2.75 for a can of beer a bit steep. The village pub is worth a visit with a warm welcome and varied menu. All in all worth a visit.

Nice site on the banks of River Thames near Wallingford. Also does boat hire and moorings so plenty to watch. The site takes tents, caravans and also has statics and lodges. The camping areas are tiered with full serviced pitches nearest the river, mostly grass a few gravel. View of open countryside, lovely walk along the river bank. There is a restaurant on site but we found it to be pricey with small portions and not very friendly service. They also sell basic provisions.
The site is on the very busy A4074 Oxford to Reading Road and although it did not bother us,it might annoy some, especially if in a tent. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING THIS ROAD! Once across it is a pleasant 5 minute walk into Benson village where you will find plenty of shops, pub, cafe etc. The new toilet and shower block looks good but not quite finished when we stayed so did not get to try it. We enjoyed our two night break.

Superb site with the plushest loo block I have ever seen. It was worthy of a five star hotel. Pitches close to the river seem very quiet, but those near the road are affected by traffic noise. Very good value and excellent facilities. A hard-working team of groundsmen and maintenance men keep it immaculate.
