We visited this site in 2008 when there was a VW rally on at the Hall. The site is very peaceful in lovely surroundings with a good long dog walk. We visited on a couple of occasions in 2008 and found the managers to be extremely helpful. There is a small shop where you can order a newspaper and buy eggs and a few bits and bobs. The only negative we could come up with was the lack of toilet / shower facilities which for a weekend really wasn't a problem and is reflected in the cheaper rates.

Just back from a bank holiday stay at this site. The pitches are grass laid and fairly level as well as being quite spacious too. The warden on site was very friendly and helpful with any enquiries that we had over our stay. I would say that we had the best pitches on the site (79 and 80) as they had a front view over Stanford Hall in the distance and the surrounding estate. This site does not have toilet or shower facilities but that never bothered us for a short stay. There is a local pub in Swinford called the Chequers that serves good food and beer in pleasant surroundings. Shopping could be obtained from Morrison's which was a short drive away in the town of Lutterworth, certain items could be bought from the on site shop/reception. We will be definitely staying here again.

aug 2003 It's within 5 minutes of junction 19 M1/M6. Therefore great for a stop off enroute It does not have a toilet block so you do have to use your own facilities,(the site fees do reflect this £5.00 - £7.00 for 2 adults, electric, awning, dogs and pitch) it does have electric hook up and water and waste facilities. The site is level and all grass, the wardens are all volunteers and are extremeley helpful or discreet as you want. We found the other caravanners on site freindly, social and helpful. We stayed there for bank holiday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Nb The site does not allow tents presumable due to the lack of toilet block
