The site is sign posted from the town centre to avoid the low bridge under the railway line.
The site is lovely and clean, wardens were friendly and we were allocated our pitch. Pitches were a good size, level and separated by hedges.
Toilets were clean, showers were not individually controlled for temperature but fine for me. Dish washing/Laundry and Veg Prep all in one building and all indoors. Small play park for younger children. Small gym, sauna and steam room for adult use.
All in all park was very well laid out.
Five minute walk into town which includes a Tesco.
Good cycle routes all round and had a really nice meal in the Panmure Hotel

We got here midweek intending to stay 1 night and stayed 3. We would have stayed longer but the pitch we were on was prebooked for the weekend, as was the whole site.
The pitches are well spaced and laid out the toilets are spotless and the grounds well maintained there are no fully serviced pitches but all have electric points.
There is no site shop but with a tesco and the town centre 5 mins walk from the site gate it is not required. There is a games room for kids on site and a small play area but outside the gate there is an adventure playground with bmx / skateboard park
Plenty of space to walk your dog and a cycle way from broughty ferry to carnousie passes by. To the front of the park is 2-3 miles of golden sandy beaches accessed from a small gate in front of the picnic area.
What more could you need
As you may have guessed by my review I will be back

This was our first visit to this site and we enjoyed our 3 day stay. The staff were helpful on arrival and will assist you on unhitching car from caravan. The toilet blocks were clean with 4 wcs and 3 showers each. The only negative point was the shower cubicles were small and enclosed with insufficient ventilation leading to any clothes feeling damp. There is a play area on site and a larger one just outside the entrance.Monifieth is small but has plenty of shops,a large Tesco and three descent pubs which were all welcoming. Being right on the beach its handy for dog walkers with an excellent walk and cycle path from the site to Dundee passing through Broughty Ferry following the coastal path.

First time there and cant wait for the next time to come. Nice welcome from the warden and is a really well run and looked after site. The toilets were spotless and the laundry and washing facilities were really good. Games room with a pool table and a sauna steam room available and a gym for the keep fit brigade. Big playpark at the site entrance and miles of walking along the shore to broughtyferry. Monifieth has a good variety of shops only 5 minutes walk away from the site and a good few pubs in area as well. Top class golf 2 minutes from the site as well as carnoustie a few miles along the road.Plenty eateries and carry out places in town as well. Dundee only a few mimutes in the car for big time retail therapy and st andrews is only 15 miles south,

Really lovely site. Staff really friendly and helpful, toilets & all facilities really spotless. Pitches excellent. Only a 10 minute walk from shops, chip shop, chinese, indian and sea food takeaway's and also a few nice pubs. Dundee only 10 minute drive or you can get a bus. Really recommend this site

A great little site over looking the beach very children friendly. Toilets, wash area etc have a key entry and are very clean. Play area for smaller children and a pool room for others. It's safe for the kids to run around in and the gates are closed in the evening around 10pm. Just outside the park there is a large play area with bmx bike track, sand pit, climbing frames etc. The shops are only a short walk away and there are lots of nice walks if you have a dog. Dundee is only a short driveaway if you like the buzz.

Just retuned from riverview having enjoyed 2 pleasant days at the site.
The site itself was reasonably well kept my only gripe being that there was no separate drain and tap for disposing of your waste water, ie sink waste. You had to do that at the drinking water tap / drain.
Pitches were level and toilet and washing up facilities were very clean and tidy.
Would I go back? yes I would Play park on site was very good and the beach was only a short walk from the site via a gate at the rear.
Ex public park at the front of the site with a fantastic play area for kids and all the local shops with in a stones throw.

We were recommended this site & were not disappointed. However, through no fault of the owners, the site was a bit tricky to find. (angus council have removed the signs)
We pre booked & from the first contact I found lovely friendly service. We were shown to our pitch & were helped with unhitching etc. The pitches are set up in little bays of average 8 pitches & there is another section which looks onto the river. The toilet block is 1 of the nicest & cleanest I have been in, the showers are wonderful. (if the owners are reading this, please put some hooks on the inside of the shower doors), my only gripe! there is a small park & a playroom, we never used the leisure facilities. The whole park is well maintained with lovely flower tubs & hedges. The beach is seconds away, we only wish the weather had been a bit warmer so that we could use it lol.
Outside the park is a wonderful playpark which my 2 kids loved. The town is a 5 minute walk, the best chip shop is the 1 next to Tesco, they still use newspaper to wrap the chips! we had high tea in the hotel next to the golf course, it was ok. There is a chinese in Broughty Ferry (5 mins drive) called Hons, it was lovely. There is also a wonderful ice cream shoppie there called Viscochis!(something like that) I have never seen so many flavours to choose from.
Monifieth is in a beautiful area, there is loads to see & do & we can't wait until we visit again. If you can, visit the discovery, well worth it & you can use your ticket for a free entry for a year.

Stayed here from 20/10/07 until 27/10/07 and was very impressed by the site. Once through the gate, the general appearance of the site is really nice, with loads of flowerbeds/pots. The bulidings are all painted, and the different facilities are well signed.
The toilets/showers/laundry and dishwashing areas were all very clean and tidy. There is a small playground for under 12s and a games room with a pool table,tv/dvd player, a selection of books, and some toys for the younger children. There are no ball games allowed on site, but just outside the gate you will find a football pitch, an excellent adventure playground, a skatepark, a large grassy area suitable for picnics, tennis courts,a pitch and putt course, and a lovely beach. There is also a cycle path which is completely flat, and goes all the way into Dundee. A 5 minute walk from the site takes you to Monifieth High Street, which has a butcher (excellent), baker, Chip shop (Excellent), Thai / indian / Chinese / Seafood Restaraunts, Pubs, and a Tesco supermarket.
The train station is also just a short walk from the site.
Other reviewers have mentioned the gunfire noises from the nearby rifle ranges, but I did not really notice it.
There is a small Gym / sauna / steam bath onsite which I did not have a look at because I am thin and really fit LOL
The only fault that I could find was, that some of the trees around the touring pitches needed cutting back because the branches protrude onto the pitch and could blow against a caravan and scratch it.
I will definitely be revisiting this site next year.
