Immaculate site. good wardens. made very welcome. Good centre for touring angus, Dundee, Montrose, etc. easy walk to town and nearby attractions. restaurant at top of site, we never tried it. plenty of space for kids to roam about. Large hardstanding pitches for caravans and some grass. Mainly level grass pitches for tents. overall good spot

We visited this site in early June on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. The site is only five minutes or so from Forfar which is still quite a thriving town with lots of interesting shops. Trying the Forfar bridie is a must when visiting. There is a beautiful nature reserve close by which is interesting to walk around. The site itself is quiet with lovely views. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The toilet blocks were clean and warm with quite spacious shower cubicles. The pitches are of quite a generous size. There is free wifi available. We will certainly be going back for a return visit.

Great site - quiet, really well kept.
Pitch - you can choose pitch, we had one of the larger hard standing ones which was great
Toilets/showers - always clean, warm and well maintained
Location - lovely views from pitches. About a 5 min drive into Forfar - glad we didn't stay on other site in Forfar itself as we walked by it one day on walk around loch - it is almost on top of the town and the public can walk right next to it giving very little privacy to campers.
Nearby pub/restaurant - we visited the restaurant next to site twice. Good veggie options (staff were very helpful and even brought out a whole mac cheese on the Sunday carvery day just for us!). Staff brilliant. Shame we had to sit outside as we had our dogs with us - but it was under cover and they did put heating lights on for us.

Just spent a week on this Immaculate, lovely campsite, very peaceful and relaxing. Toilets and showers extremely clean with plenty of hot water. Emma was very friendly and helpful, full of information on the area of where to go and what to do. We have 2 dogs and loads of lovely walks on the site and around the site. 2 Shower and toilet blocks so no waiting for use of them, cleaned everyday. Site very quiet with no rowdy noise, a pleasure to visit and definitely visit again.

One of the best caravan parks I have been to. The park is very well kept. There is two toilet blocks that are very clean and warm. They even have face cloths on sinks that are changed constantly if you forget your own. Showers on bottom of park are huge with chairs to sit on if you need them. Great for my husband who is disabled. There is a restaurant on site that is brilliant and very reasonably priced. Emma the owner will go out of her way to help you with anything you need. There is a small playground beside restaurant for little ones that is very well kept. Go to this park a lot as there is nothing bad I can say about it.

We had 3 nights last weekend at this site and will definitely go back. The site was busy but there was never an issue with the toilet block (there are 2 large blocks). The toilets are spotless and lots of hot water. You can order rolls, milk and papers each morning. Very good TV reception. The views of the hills from the site were lovely -very peaceful. It is a lovely area to walk round, which suited us as we have dogs. We were very lucky with the weather which helped. The site is a few miles from Forfar which has all the shops you will need for your stay. Had a drink in a pub in the High Street on the Saturday evening which had a band on. Good base as we visited Blairgowrie, Arbroath and spent an afternoon at the picturesque Lunan Bay. Also used the Restaurant one evening. Good food at reasonable price. Very much hope to go back. Great site

Second time here and just discovered I didn't review last time.
This is a first class site and thanks to their current special offers 3 for £40 or 4 for £50 it is so much more reasonable than their nearby CC competitors. The sanitary blocks are outstandingly pristine with full disabled facilities although the gravel areas might be difficult to negotiate. There is a kids play area and a tent area. The grass is beautifully kept and the shrub and flower beds are a joy. Very close restaurant under new ownership but we have not managed to use it this trip. I am happy to recommend this high standard peaceful site located less than 3 miles from pretty Forfar.

We stayed here for 4 nights on the special deal offered of 4 nights mon-fri for £50 which included electric hook-up.
As previously stated, the facilities were spotless, although the site was very quiet due to the time of year, only 4 units in use, absolute peace and quiet.
Wardens helpful and friendly, and never in your face!
The only improvement we think that could be made on site would be to the information point located in the laundry room. Some information on the surrounding area for visiting would be very useful, luckily we had searched online beforehand and left the printouts for others to use.
Adjoining restaurant wasn't open during our visit so can't comment, there is a small playpark at the restaurant.
Forfar has a great selection of small shops as well as Tesco, Asda, Co-op, Lidl and Aldi.
Surrounding countryside is great for scenery, especially the glens where we saw roe deer.
Close to the site is Balgavies Loch which has a hide where you can indulge in some birdwatching, whilst we were there we saw a woodpecker and red squirrels on the feeders beside the hide.
We will return to this site as there is still so much that we want to do in the area and are already planning our next visit to this fantastic site.

My wife and I spent a lovely 4 days at this caravan site just after the Glasgow school holidays in October 2012. It was very quiet probably due to being near to end of season. The landscaping is kept immaculately. The toilets were always spotless. The fees were discounted due to being late season, but even high season fees seem very good value.
The restaurant next door is friendly and cooks nice food too (it apparently is not related to the campsite - it just had a new chef when we arrived). There is a lovely farm park just across the main road where you can enjoy very reasonable food and walks around small lochans to see birds migrating - the walks are free and the admission to actual farm animal section was very reasonable.
This is a charitable farmpark and do a great work with the local community and schools.
Wish we had discovered this years ago. We do not have young children now, but I'm sure youngsters would find the site fine for a few days and there are plenty places to visit nearby, but maybe not for a longer stay as there may not be a lot do do on the site (especially at night when it gets dark early in October) so probably more suited to folk wanting a quiet and peaceful site I'd say.
Kites are a bad idea as there are overhead power cables and there are warning signs of course about this.
I could only give this site very favourable review, no complaints about this site, the wardens are very friendly and there is lots to do in the surrounding area.
This site indeed is up to Caravan Club standards or better as mentioned by another reviewer.

We had been looking forward to our return to Foresterseat. We were booked in and welcomed to the site. We were asked not to use a smaller pitch that they liked to keep for larger motor homes as it had a turning space in front for them. There were plenty of spaces available and we chose one with a lovely view of the hills.
As always the site and the facilities are very good and clean. Unfortunately a caravan moved into the motor home space next to us and put up an awning this meant they were very near our van and had to use a short cut through our pitch they were joined by 2 other caravans of friends who parked on the other side which meant lots of comings and goings. We could hear nearly every word of their conversations. We had meant to stay for a second week but decided to move to another site in the area for the remainder of our holiday.
The staff should really keep an eye to see that caravans are pitched a safe distance from each other when they are allowed to choose their own pitch. This spoilt our holiday and Foresterseat for us.
