 Although this site does permit tents, the pitches are few but to those lucky enough to obtain one, a warm welcome awaits.
I think from my own experience the CC tolerates tents in a strange way, but this site was very different. Myself and a friend stayed here as part of a 4-week Scotland tour. We decided due to the good weather to pitch our large 6 person Litchfield which did take up a lot of room! Just as we pitched a French couple turned up and managed to squeeze a plot near ours, this proved to be no problem by the site manager but if any other campers were to arrive, they would have been sadly turned away.
The facility's were stunning, typical CC standard and cleaned twice daily. There is a garage and local shop just around the corner although can be pricey. The Kinlochewe Hotel is just a 5 minute walk into the village with great food although can get busy.
In my situation, this site was a great location for the Beinn Eighe mountains and some of the forest scenery was amazing, but could possibly see children getting slightly bored if staying over a week. Conclusion to me is I would return.

This site is well positioned for exploring the area but was very quiet when we were there. The facilities are well kept but elderly, not the usual CC standard but perfectly acceptable. Perhaps the low occupancy does not justify them being improved. The pitching ares are surrounded by trees and I could imagine midgies could be a problem. We found cooking on the BBQ attracted a lot of flies. There is a petrol station adjacent and 2 small shops. Fairly well stocked but expensive so best to have some provisions with you.
