Access onto this site is easy with the site entrance being only a matter of yards off the A465.
This is a well cared for site in the club is a mixture of grass and hard standing pitches set with the beautiful hills as a backdrop. The grounds are immaculate and demonstrate a level of effort from the wardens above and beyond the call of duty. Picnic benches are interspersed between some of the pitches.
The site boasts an excellent woodland dog walk that follows the line of the river at the top end of the site, with an open area for ball games.
Even though the site was full the toilet block was never anything other than spotless. There is no shop on site and reception sold very little.
The adjacent railway line is well screened by massive conifers, but some may find the noise of passing trains a little intrusive. They did not bother us.

Pandy Caravan site is well located for Abergavenny. Its a good level site with some hardstandings and with spotless modern toilets and showers. The wardens are very helpful and they keep the whole site pristine.
On Thusday evenings a mobile fish and chip van visits and are well worth having. Plenty of pubs doing good food nearby.
We liked this site and will visit again.

Pandy was just perfect for our weekend, loved it.
On arrival the wardens where friendly and helpful giving info on local walks and sites in the area.
We pitched near the dog walk at the top end of the site, the railway runs along the ridge bordering the camp it didn't trouble us at all.
The song birds singing most of the day made up for any inconvenience the trains. The opposite boundary runs a lovely stream that you can fish will try this on next visit.
The shower block was always clean and the showers were perfect after a long walk.
Speaking of walks, the walk up Hatterall hill along the Beacons way / Offa's Dyke path dropping down to Lanthony priory (about 3 hrs) is highly recommended.
If you like a daily run there are plenty of quiet lanes which are a joy to run.

Just returned from a lovely break at the CC site at Pandy. This is a very pretty site, with good sized pitches, some with hardstanding. Toilets and showers were always clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely dog walk down to the river, worth going, even if you haven't got a dog! There is a railway line that runs along the side of the site, but that was never a problem for us. The Pandy Inn, which is two minutes away is worth trying and also worth a visit is the Skirred Inn a couple of miles away. For a day out the Big Pit at Blaenarfon is a must ! We would definitely visit this site again.

We have just come back from another enjoyable weekend at Pandy. The wardens, as always, were very friendly and the facilities spotless. The site is small to CC standards but was extremely well presented. We chose a pitch towards the end of the site opposite a babbling brook. Down one side of the site is a train line but we didn’t find this intrusive. Within walking distance is the Old Pandy Inn which is open all day for drink, and they serve food at lunchtimes and evenings. The menu is great, try the sausages! There are a few more eateries in Pandy itself but nothing else. If you’re into walking, take your boots and trekking poles. A highly recommended site that has become one of our favourites!

Have stayed on this site twice 20004 and 2005 and will definitely return again. The site is in a lovely location next to a river and although it is next to a railway line, the passing trains are fairly infrequent. Nice pub about 100 yards from site for a drink or meal and the town of Abergaveny is 5 miles away with plenty to see and do in the area. Wardens were very friendly and helpful, facilities excellent as you would expect at a C.C site

Seems I am the 1st to review this pleasant site in the border lands of southern Wales. The site itself is small for the Caravan Club, but with the usual excellent facilities. There are around 70 pitches with about 50% being hard-standing. The week we were there was quite wet, but the site stood up well only losing 3 or 4 to muddy patches. The facilities never seemed crowded even though the site was full at the time of visiting. It's not really a site for children, there is no play area, a fast running river runs down one side and a train line the other. The trains are not really a bother as there are few that run at night. The wardens were very pleasant and I am pleased to say allow you to pick your own pitch to your liking. There are a few odds & ends available in the reception like milk, but not papers for which you have to travel to a local garage (not really walkable). The dog walk got a bit boggy and a tree came down in the storm on Bank holiday Sunday, blocking the path somewhat, however; the walking around the site is fantastic, particularly with Offas Dike into the Black mountains close by. You can see the mountains from the site which makes your heart soar every morning. There is a pub within 50 yards of the entrance, The Old Pandy Inn, Wye Valley beers and pub grub, pretty average really but quite friendly, there is another in Pandy itself, but within a good walk or short drive, there is a terrific range of excellent pubs, many serving great food and beer, The carpenters Arms at Walterstone and The Bridge at Kentchurch being my favorites. I thoroughly recommend this site for a good break. Be careful about the route that a GPS wants to take you though, I had to ignore mine from Ross on Wye until almost Abergavenny as it wanted to go down little lanes, stick to the A40.
