What a perfect location, from our field we had lovely views of Fishguard in one direction and Newport in the other.
I couldn't believe the price! It was only £4 per adult per night! The site itself is a bit basic and only has one toilet and shower for each sex (what do you expect for only £4 a night?), saying that, I only had to queue once for the shower, which always had hot water, so it didn't matter what time of day or night you wanted to use it and was always clean.
The owners were great and very helpful. We took advantage of the fresh bread that Linda cooked daily and it was still warm when she delivered it to our tent door! (How's that for service?). She also has a list of cakes she bakes to order, and as it is a working sheep farm you could buy various cuts of lamb (or a whole one to take home if you want!).
There are 2 fields, one with electric and one without. Only 5 min walk down the farm drive to a beach with a pub (The Old Sailors)which did lovely food and served every day but only Fri and Sat evenings so you definitely need to book in advance.
If you like walking, Carn Ingli is a must, apparently once a volcano (don't worry though, it last erupted 450 million yrs ago!). In the summer, a local bus (the Poppit Rocket) runs from Fishguard to Newport and vice versa and you can hail it down anywhere it passes you! We caught it to Newport one day and walked the coastal path back to the campsite, it only took 2 1/2 hrs. You can walk right round Dinas head, visiting both beaches and only takes about 2 hrs.
If we visit this area again, we will definitely stay here again.

Spent two highly enjoyable weeks at this campsite. There are two fields, the smaller with electric hook ups and the larger without electric. Not needing electric we were in the large field, which has plenty of space to pitch away from other tents, ensuring privacy and peace. No designated spaces so you can chose where to pitch.
The shower and toilet facilities are simple and spotless, one toilet and shower per gender in a timber building (nice) however an additional shower & toilet in the farmhouse in busy periods, personally never experienced a wait.
The headland itself, has spectacular views of the coast and inland, with two small beaches within easy reach.
Although the location on its' own would make you want to revisit, the ace in the pack is the helpfulness of the owners, and in particular the unique food delivery service of Lynda. Fresh baked bread from the Aga in the morning, heaven! She also does an amazing selection of cakes, and home made 'ready meals'.
There is plenty to do in the area. The site is virtually on the coastal path, and a walk round the headland is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The area is steeped in both ancient and more modern history, has interesting towns, castles, museums, churches & cathedrals to visit in addition to local crafts and galleries. If you are after wildlife, this changes with the seasons, but seals and a huge variety of birds are fairly easy to spot from the coastal cliffs.
Being a committed foody, it was a delight to find so much local food available from farms and markets, both for the holiday and to take home!and of course you might need a beer to go with that, a trip to the brewery in Cwm Gwuan is well worth a visit. For anyone wishing to eat out, a six mile radius will give you more choice than you could fit into a holiday.
Brilliant place to recharge the batteries, will be booking again.

Arrived @ this campsite to find only one person there.
Really good location and views. Has two good beaches, both just 5 minutes or so walk away
Quite a basic site but its got all you need really. Farmers wife does great home made bread. Also their lamb chops are really tasty (from their farm).
This is a proper working farm to, with friendly dog and cats!
Some good local pubs. One at bottom of hill (5 mins walk) does good food during day and also on fri /sat nights). However its a bit pretentious in the evenings.
There are two pubs in the local village in Dinas. The Ship aground does good basic pub food. The landlord is quite an interesting character
I would certainly go to this campsite again.

Great camp site, the facilities are basic but very clean which is what camping is about.
Great touch having fresh baked bread from the farmhouse, brought to the camping field.
The walk around the headland was fantastic with views of the cliffs and nesting birds, we were also amazed to see a basking shark.
Another good walk is to fishguard, if you are feeling fit ( about 6 mile )
The pub at the bottom of the lane served good food and you can watch the fun going on at the beach.
Mr Perkins and his family were very friendly and also the farm dog.
I would definitely recommend this site

We three families, with 10 teens tots and adults aged between 2 to 55. The farmers are fab and very helpful, the loo blocks are clean and bright, I told the lady farmer of my friends morbid fear of spiders and she came and hoovered the ceiling and rafters of the loos! bless her.
We bought lamb steaks from them which were the best we have ever had, the Banoffee pie is to die for and the bread wonderfully fresh. The site was not busy but when two other families arrived a notice was displayed to announce another toilet / shower room was open at the farm house, just by the kitchen door was an enclosed room which was handy to lock myself and two smalls in whilst we showered and changed.
The site is basic and spacious with a choice of two fields to camp in. The views from the lower field over towards Newport were fabulous. It's an easy walk down to the two clean safe beaches either end of the valley, with good access to the water for fishing / sailing boats, with shallow gradients and no rip tides
Pwllgwaelod has marvellous rock pools, slate sand and a pub on the beach, which serves real ales, pub snacks, ice creams and meals at lunchtime and has an award winning restaurant (book in advance).
At the other end of the valley about 3/4 of a mile down a flat wheelchair usable footpath is Cwm Yr Eglwys, with a sandy beach that disappears at high tide, this popular beach can be a pain to park near.
Both beaches are serviced by clean toilets and disabled / baby changing facilities and fresh water taps, a bus service picks you up from either beach and takes you to other local beaches and towns.
Downsides to this fabulous site is the wind, its on the side of the hill with little protection from the wind. A hedge to deflect the wind would be great?
We took advantage of the large shippon to cook and play out of the wind and rain on a few occasions, only to find the weather pleasant and sheltered in the valley.
The road up to the site is narrow with very few passing places on its sometimes bedrock surface, creating a crick in your neck as you reverse down the hill to let cars pass.
The coastal footpath and local hills are a joy to walk, the pubs are plentiful and not too expensive. The nearest local shop / garage with camping gas / launderette / post office and two pubs (both serve food, the Freemasons is child friendly with a large garden) are a mile away in Dinas Cross.
If you are a Walker, Birdwatcher, Fisher, Sailor, Car tourer, then this is a beautiful and well serviced area to stay in.

We stayed here with three other families. This site is fabulous. The family are lovely and helpful and what a luxury to have freshly baked bread delivered from the farmhouse kitchen!
Despite there only being one shower and one toilet for each sex, we hardly queued and the facilities were good. There is a large empty barn, which we were encouraged to use to 'play, cook, eat and sleep' in, this was a godsend for the children to play in when the weather got particularly Welsh!
The area is beautiful. Dinas Island is described in one of our guidebooks as 'the most beautiful part of the Pembrokeshire coastline'.
I can warmly recommend this place.

I can understand why people haven't submitted a review for this beautiful place - they must all want to keep it a secret! My husband and two young girls had a really lovely stay here. The owners are so friendly and can't do enough to help. All the facilities are clean and the showers are the best we have ever had. You can even order cakes (which were delicious!) and home-cooked meals from the farmhouse. The camping field has a view of the sea and we were given the choice to camp in the main field or in one of their other fields. We opted for the 'other field' which meant we had loads of space and not many other campers nearby.
You can walk from the farm to the only local pub in the village, via the coast path and then sit and watch the sunset over the sea.
A really first-class place to stay - we can't wait to go back.

Stayed here weekend 20th - 23rd June.
The site is gently sloping, steeper towards the lower end of the field, and has excellent views of the surrounding countryside and Newport Bay, eight electrical hook-ups, that we could see. Ideal for a quiet break.
The access road is fairly steep in some places (private road) and the entrance to the field is a bit tight for larger caravans.
The toilet block is fairly new and excellent in its design as well as being kept spotless, shower is of the walk in type with abundant hot water. Washing up sink could do with hot water to get the greasy marks off plates etc, but as we had the caravan we didn't have to use it.
The site is ideal for walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, with paths circling the headland. Make sure you wear proper shoes as flip-flops etc will be of no use.
There is a lovely bay at the bottom of the private road with a large beach at low tide. There is also a pub which serves excellent food in the bar or garden.
We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful weekend away from everything and look forward to returning.
