 Just returned from a lovely Easter break at Glan Byl Farm Caravan site near Criccieth.
The site itself has wonderful panoramic views and whilst closely situated by major road, it was a fabulous place to stay. We stayed in a touring caravan and heard little road or people noise. The concrete works situated next to the site was referred to in other reviews but we are unable to comment as we heard no noise.
The toilets and showers were first class and immaculately kept. Whilst each block only had two toilets and two showers I found I never had to queue for either at any point in time.
There is no on-site shop but the nearest town was literally only minutes away for those last minute shopping needs. Porthmadog is a wonderful place to visit and Black Rock Sands in particular is a fab place. At a cost of £2.50 per day, cars, jet skies, etc were permitted to park on the beach. This is definitely a must do.
In general our view is life is too short to return to the same site, however, on this occasion I can guarantee that we will return and soon. An ideal base for both Criccith, Porthmadog and North Wales in general.
Thank you to the owner for making us feel welcome. We had a choice of pitches all of which are closely situated to the shower/toilet block.
This site is recommended to those looking for a fuss free site, fantastic views and a good location.

This is a fantastic site for a lovely quiet holiday. No club bar or anything else just peace and quiet in the evening and at night. The owner is very friendly and willing to help if he can. It rained during most of our time here but that did not seem to matter, there are plenty of places to visit and plenty to do in the area to keep 2 boy of 6 and 10 very happy.
The shower and toilet block are great only 2 toilets and 2 showers but that was plenty when we were there, most people were in caravans and seemed to use their own facilities. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and drier using tokens at £2 each, whereever you are pitched it is not far from the loos.
There is a gate to the site but it is never locked so it means you don't have to worry about getting back at a certain time, if you have gone out for the evening.
The only one negative point is that there is a concrete works next door so don't expect any lie ins in the morning (except Sunday) they start by 7.30, it never worried us as we were up early anyway but it may bother some. All in all a great site for a touring base for north wales. We will be going back.

First time at this site. A lovely small well maintained site. Owners very friendly and have made great effort to improve their facilities. Excellent and very clean toilet and shower block. Brand new kitchen / dishwashing facilities including washer and drier.
Nice little location, very handy for nearby Criccieth and Porthmadog. Safe for children and the best showers so far.
