Very helpful and pleasant owners. Basic site, but very well maintained by the owners. Clean and tidy toilet block, with free hot water. Was very quite when we visited as most of the caravans seem to be seasonal pitches, more seasonal caravans on site than shown in the picture little bit tight on space

I recently stayed for a week on this site. It is a lovely safe site for young children. My children are aged 4 & 1 years old and I felt very safe with the surroundings. There are no speeding cars and no obvious danger areas for them to hurt themselves. The owners are extremely helpful and very friendly. This site is most definitely the cleanest site I have ever stayed on, the toilets and showers are cleaned several times during the day, Even the recycling bins are spotlessly clean. There is also a seperate washing area with running hot water to wash your dishes, which is very handy. The site is situated very near to a garage and shop, with a pub selling meals just a stone throw away. I would recommend this site to anyone, we had a lovely time and with Newquay approx, a mile away there was always somewhere to take the children in the evenings.

Visited this site at end of July with tent. Alan Mather and partner run this site extremely well but due to no fault of their own the ground was extremely soggy and the field we camped in very muddy. Our tent pegs had difficulty going in due to poor drainage and stoney ground. However the facilities at this lovely site were second to none and there was plenty of hot water at all times of the day. The garage next door sells lovely french bread in the morning and essential supplies but New Quay is just 10 minutes away. The field we camped in is next to a very busy road and traffic noise is evident but you do get used to it. There is another field away from the noise but a longer trek to the shower block.

Just spent a very pleasant Saturday evening & Sunday morning at this excellent site. The owners were friendly and helpful, the site quiet and well laid out and maintained. Showers and toilets spotless and hot water in the showers free and unrestricted. Useful garage next-door - for Sunday papers (but not much else), and welcoming pub within 100yds with good food and a fine pint of Welsh Bitter Despite its proximity to the road the site was very quiet and peaceful - had the best night's sleep for ages!

We visited this site at the peak of summer 2006 July/August, having previously stayed at most of the other campsites in Newquay and surrounding area over the last 20 years. We turned up without booking more in hope than anything else considering that we needed pitches for 2 huge trailer tents. From the word go the owners were hugely helpful allowing us to look around the site to decide whether any of the vacant pitches were suitable for our units. we decided on 2 pitches that were normally used for Caravans, they had gravel hard standings but pegs could go into them quite easily, They were both level pitches with electric hook ups. This may not be the most modern commercialized campsite in the area but I can honestly say it is a hidden pleasure, the owners work tirelessly throughout the day to keep the site clean and do a fantastic job. The toilets may be basic but again they are spotlessly clean. The site is about 2 miles from Newquay village with excellent access direct from the main road, no narrow lanes to negotiate. At the entrance there is a service station/shop/post office not owned by the site but on it's doorstep stocking most things you need. , whilst a further 20 yards on you,ll find the Llanina Arms a nice welcoming pub serving beautiful food at reasonable rates. Try it on a Wednesday two steaks for twenty pounds with a bottle of wine thrown in. We had spent the previous week at the more commercialized Cei Bach where we have spent many a holiday over the years, this site is in my mind equal to Cei Bach. We will definitely be going back this summer
