Wow! this was our first time camping in France and we feel really lucky to have found such a gorgeous site and a beautiful location.
Fantastic clean facilities, loads of toilets and showers all kept lovely bt the friendly attendants. Two beautiful swimming pools and a paddling pool (the covered pool definitely being the favourite and warmest!) A lovely shop and useful reception - hot tip get FREE entry to Futurescope with the scratch cards they have there - some give you 3 euro off the entry, but we took a bundle and got 3 free entry tickets - saved about £70 in entry fees!
A lovely site, very quiet and peaceful lots of shady trees, nice flat pitches with plenty of room for your table to eat out.
For children it's paradise! there are baby goats, a pig and chickens/ducks in the farm corner and a lovely wee playpark too. You feel safe there too. Lovely pony rides - although beware of Gus the pony as he has a bit of a temper and kicked my DH! choose the other one!
We all had a lovely time - I have 2 young children aged 6 and 4 and they loved every minute and so did we. Will definitely be back again and can't imagine ever finding such a perfect campsite in France.
Highly recommended to anyone! don't think twice it's lovely.

This might be the best campsite we have ever stayed in. It is a very pretty place.
We had a wonderful pitch, quite large, with a perfect view over the Loire. It did slope a bit, chocks are a necessity. But the location was totally worth it.
The site is beautifully maintained, and employs people with disabilities for much of the maintenance. Everything was very neat and clean.
The on-site shop sells basic items, and bakes nice baguettes for sale there.
There is a little bar, which does food, which is perfectly ok.
There is lots to do in the surrounding area.
Most of the staff speak good English, and are very helpful.
We would definitely stay here again.

Mum, Dad, 3 children ages 9, 11 and 13.
Booked this site independently through their website and were placed in a shaded pitch. The staff were friendly and helpful, with activities organised for younger children (<7 years). Site is flat, the pitches are laid out in rows with small hedges separating them.
The toilet/shower facilities were kept clean. Onsite shop was stocked with daily essentials, we found some of the prices a little high (L’eclerac near by). There was always fresh bread available made on the premises. We never used the restaurant but the takeaway service gave mum a break from the cooking.
The children loved the covered, heated swimming pool, the outdoor pool is for the brave or on the few hot days we got. The play area was basic but there were goats, chickens and ponies. For a small fee the younger children were allowed to ride around the site.
The disabled staff employed on the site maintained the gardens which added colour to the entrance/reception area.
Saumur is an interesting town with nice selection of shops and various tourist attractions. We visited during Bastille Day, there were fireworks and live music on the Loire River with great views from the bridge.
The weather could have been better the time we visited although we had no difficulty in finding things to do such as visiting a chateau or a museum. We still have plenty places yet to visit when we return in the near future.

I stayed here for one night whilst on a Motorcycle tour. A very nice, well laid out site. Beautiful views over the Loire. All the staff seemed to speak very good English. The bar meals were a bit basic but perfectly edible! The site is well out in the countryside so it's very quiet. I would definitely return for a family holiday.

We stayed at this beautiful site in august, it was really pretty and well kept. The covered pool was great for the kids although the other pool was cold to say the least although that didn't stop a lot of the other campers using it! Maybe we are a bit wimpish. The bar was nice and clean and the food decent, a bit limited on the takeaway side but ok for pizza and chips etc. The views from the bar and outside terrace were outstanding of the Loire river. The pitch sizes enormous and separated by little bushes. The site also had a herb garden and a separate vegetable garden, not very big but a lovely touch. There is a small shop which has the basics, fresh croissants and baguettes cooked on site and a nice selection of reasonably priced wines. Reception were very helpful as well. The loos, showers and washing up facilities very clean, in fact there was always someone cleaning. Also plenty of sinks so no queuing up for ages, also two freezers for ice packs. The site as you enter has a little farm area with goats and chickens which small children would love, next to that is where the three ponies are. Rides cost 2.50 euros and you walk the ponies yourself round the site, again my kids loved the pony rides and did it quite a few times. There are some organised kids activities most mornings and the girls who organise that are lovely. All in all a really lovely site so much so that we will be going back next year. There is plenty of places and things to do in and around Saumur, which is a very pretty area. The Zoo at Doue la Foutaine is really worth a visit. The site is nice and quiet and ideal for younger children, maybe not enough for teenagers 15+ but as our children are 9 it was just right.
