This is a beautiful site in a stunning location. Our pitch was extremely large and spacious but on a slope. We pitched our tent at the top of the slope as we were worried about the rain running down to the tent if we pitched at the bottom of the slope. However at 1 am we realised our mistake when the wind picked up and took off the canopy and all four window poles (we have a Vango Vail 700). We were completley exposed to the wind so after a sleepness night we moved the tent in the morning to the bottom of the slope to get some protection from the wind. The toilets/showers were clean and hot and you could buy wood for a fire on site. Our only complaint would be the price of £8, which is very expensive for a few sticks of kindling and a small pile of logs. You can buy your own wood at the Londis garage in the next village for £3.50 which is quite a saving.
The surrounding area is beautiful even in the rain, there really is so much to see and do. If you like stunning scenery, peace and quiet and dramatic coast line this is the place to be.

It is difficult to imagine there could be a more perfect campsite. The 5 pitches are enormous (really!) and each is surrounded by a bank, which provides privacy and a wonderful feeling of space. A fire pit and picnic table/bench are provided, there is a water supply on site and clean facilities with hot showers.
Anne couldn't have been more helpful - even searching out her own tentpegs as we (I!) had left most of ours at home - trying to put up a large tent with 10 pegs is not to be recommended!
My partner carefully researched campsites - not just in this area - to find the just the right spot for our wonderful dog's first (and sadly last) camping trip - and he was right this was it!
Merlin was initially very sceptical and stayed well away from the tent - it was obviously he thought we had completely lost the plot! - but after a while he relaxed and seemed to quite enjoy it. He lived to swim so he was in seventh heaven in this area.
If you want somewhere quiet, rural and close to the sea, this is definitely the place to go (and take your dog!)
P.S. If you're worried about wet feet - take wellies!

I visited this site with my wife and 2 kids, aged 11 and 7. We pitched in the 'paddock' and were the only ones there which was great. There are only 5 or so pitches in all here. Electric hook-up, picnic table and fire pit especially are a great bonus. Campsite is very quite and out of the way. My advice is to take good mallet and pegs as ground is very hard.
Facilities good, hot showers and wash facilities and a communal fridge.
The only criticism is that the grass needed cutting. Particularly in the paddock after it rained this was a real problem as simple trips to the toilet soaked shoes and socks very quickly.
Local area is great - Folly Farm and Dinosaur Park good fun and St.Davids and Fishguard quaint and idyllic.
If you like it quiet this is for you.

A fantastic site! We arrived tired after a long journey, just before nightfall, but managed to find the site thanks to the precise directions. Anne was there to greet us and tell us all about the facilities.
Our pitch was huge, with a very substantial picnic table and, most importantly, a fire pit. The site was quite full, but because there are only five pitches for tents, it didn't feel busy. Each pitch has high grass banks which allow you to feel you are the only ones there, but you have some neighbours if you are feeling social!
Anne and Roy were very helpful and friendly and you can buy chopped wood for a fire from them.
The toilets and showers were clean, although only one of the two showers were working (which Anne was very apologetic about), but there was no problem getting a nice, hot shower. (Important if you are a light-weight camper like me!).
The area was lovely, with some gorgeous beaches around. We even saw some seals come right up on the local beach at Abercastle.
All in all, it is a nice, friendly campsite, great for families and well worth a visit.
